We have had two exceptional meals at Fern. Located in a converted firehouse, the atmosphere is high end, but still fairly casual. Most of the food was bursting with flavor (no extra salt or seasoning needed). Unlike many other restaurants, I thought the mains outshined the starters. The ribeye, pork chop, and pappardelle with seafood were outstanding. I highly recommend the caramel ice cream with popcorn, peanuts, and fudge for dessert. It's decadent but worth it. Service was outstanding. We had the same server on both visits and he went out of his way to make sure we were happy.

Great service. Food was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Make reservations. The place filled up quickly and it was a Monday night.

Less than impressed. The place is beautiful, service was fine, but the food was just okay and the prices for what you get were very high.

Once there the vibe feels rustic, historic, little speakeasy vibes. Service was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable about all the different wines available. The charcuterie grazing board was every and any thing you could possibly want, at least we thought so. Sooooo good!! The dippy duet of the tapenade and pistachio cream dip thing (sorry forgot the name) delicious. We ordered an entree to share and everyone raved about the lamb chops. Safe to say we'll be back. There is a parking lot across the street. Hard to see any signs on where you have to pay but it's not free.

We arrived as soon as they opened and were some of the first there. The bar tender greeted us and we took our seats. He came over immediately and went through the entire menu with us. I ordered wine from their very large selection and my husband ordered a stout. They were out of his order so the bar tender brought over three similar options and explained them all. My husband picked one of the recommendations and it was a great beer. My wine was delicious. We ordered the Brie , burger, and my husband ordered their lomo. Everything was great truly. We just took our time and really enjoyed the space which was very cozy and relaxing. The best thing is going to a restaurant where wine and beer are their main focus and talking with staff that is enthusiastic about their products. Our waiter was great and we're sad we didn't get his name but he made the experience ten times better with his knowledge of wines and beers. We plan on returning very soon!!

Five stars, hands down. ***** The exterior is a pop of color in the small town of West Stockbridge and it is conveniently located near the I-90, Tanglewood, and all things Berkshires. Check out the original artwork on the walls and relax as you are transported to another place. What makes this restaurant so special is the authenticity of the food. All the recipes are from the original Florence location, perfected over many years by the owners. If you are a meat-eater then you'll be delighted by any of the filets. I enjoyed both the blueberry filet and the green peppercorn filet (strategically ordering both with a friend and then switching plates once halfway through!). The port wine sauce chicken is also quite tasty. The restaurant offers several "samplers" (salad, steak, pasta, dessert) which makes it easy to try lots of different flavor combinations, textures, and fresh ingredients. We did get the pasta sampler, and my favorites were the gnocchi (that day it was served with red pepper sauce - but on my next visit I tried the Gorgonzola sauce, yum) and the bow tie pasta with pumpkin and tiny but delicious morsels of almond crunch. I love greek salad and Acqua Al 2 did not disappoint. Fresh, crisp and refreshing cucumbers & tomatoes with a "to-die-for" feta cheese. I am also a huge fan of tiramisu so while others in our group opted for the dessert sampler, I went all-in on my top choice... iykyk. A good tiramisu can make or break a meal. This one was A+ Our server, Juan, was gracious and attentive. Overall a wonderful experience. Also, I don't drink alcohol, but they do have a full bar and an extensive wine list. Content with my Shirley Temple, I felt no judgement from staff!

I thought it was a dessert. It was like they took a wine production threw it over a chicken absolutely do not recommend this place. You'd be better off. Going to chipotle.
