Axes, Ales, Lagers, and Bears, Oh My... Who would have thought that drinking beer and throwing axes go together? Not this guy. I was curious to check things out though. Perhaps the creative, comedian, actor, Mike Myers was onto something in 1993 with the film "So I Married an Axe Murderer." Don't know the name Mike Myers? He is also the actor and creator of Austin Powers. Speaking of setting the mood, "Baby." The Mighty Axe is a great, low-key vibe with an outdoor, gas fire pit in the front, making you feel at home. Or someone else's house, hanging out in the backyard. You'll never have to wait long for a fresh pint of beer, as the bar is never excessively crowded. You won't break the bank either, prices are reasonable, and service is friendly. It has small-town, blue-collar, vibes, that mike you feel welcomed. We saw the staffing running in and out of the place, picking up food for patrons that were having fun in the Axe throwing area / lanes. These guys really hustle to make sure you're having a good time, well hydrated, and nourished. In the far back of the place is also a section of video games, for those not confident in their abilities to juggle blades and brews. While we didn't participate in any Axe throwing, it was nice to hang out in the front, next to the fire pit and enjoy a few cold brews. The selection of local beverages from Seaward Brewing and with names like Ventura HIghWey make it fun to order and support local businesses. It's a win-win-win situation at the Mighty Axe.

Ryan was the absolute best. I stopped by with my amiga just to grab a kombucha. Service is quick . You can order food from Pizza Man Dan's or Luna Grill and they'll walk it over to you ! Good crowd ! Real fireplace and also electric fireplace for the cool vibes. Too much of a scaredy cat to try the axe throwing . Too much Final Destination movie PTSD for me ;/ They also have happy hour!!!

Haley was so great from the introduction to safety rules and how to play the game ... what a great place, Ryan was very cool and provided the drinks. I'm happy they had a Heineken 0.0 to drink also .. Great fun , we really enjoyed it. First time here and we will be back .

My first time axe throwing and I'm addicted ! Wanted to try something new with my teen girls and even brought along the baby in the stroller. Reservations online were pretty simple. Parking was a challenge due to the mail area being packed. Make sure you plan to come early. I loved that the axe company has an axe coach that takes the time to teach you how to throw. Four of us played for one hour and we were able to play two games at a rate of two throws per each turn. Next time I would throw for two hours instead. There is no food but beer and hard kombucha etc with lots of variety.

Such a fun place to hang out and let loose! There's a bar in front from which you don't necessarily have to play. You can chill in front of the bar and patio area. If you decide to play, you'll pay and sign a waiver. Kids definitely can hang out back too no matter their age, however, must be 10 years old in order to play. They have multiple games to pick from. As this was our first time, we were just trying to get the hang of it. Prior to beginning your game, there's axe master's (can't remember the term) but they help you out and guide you. Super helpful! Games are by the hour and per person at $35

If you're looking for something fun and different in a suburban environment, than look no further than the mighty axe! I came here with my wife and my brother in law for my brother in laws birthday, and it's a ton of fun! Firstly the wait time was very short, and it was on a Friday night, I was expecting to wait awhile but we didn't have to. But even if you do, they have a bar with seltzers and beer and other drinks and goodies, so you'll have something to do if you actually do wind up waiting. But once we got to our lane, Ray showed us how to properly throw. Let me just say that Ray is the pinnacle of customer service. Even after we started throwing, Ray came back to check in on us and take our orders and even brought us napkins for our food! You gotta try this place out and if you're lucky Ray will be there to show you the ropes and provide excellent service! Thank you Mighty Axe! We will definitely be back! read more

We love coming here! It's the perfect stress reliever and it's something that both my husband and I thoroughly enjoy! The bar is an bonus and they have such a fun sitting room as well. We went during free swim time from 12-4pm and it was only $10 for ages 3 and up. There's a big shallow kiddie pool with water activities and then 2 water slides on the back side of the park. There's a rec pool that maybe goes to 4.5 ft depth so it's perfect for just enjoying the water when you can't lap swim because the pool is crowded. A large picnic table area can be found in the middle of the center too so you can being lunch and snacks too. There a larger Olympic size pool on the west end of the center that can be used for lap swimming so overall it's great for all ages and swimming levels. We're planning to be here quite a bit for the summer! There's also cabanas to change into and showers to rinse off before and after swimming.

The pools & facilities are clean and in great condition. Water temperature is about 78 degrees and they have multiple pools to accommodate lap swimming, classes, and a kid's pool. The park is small, but well maintained and clean. The palm tree lined walking path is wide and flat. Nice playground. The beach is a short walk over -- just follow the sand. :) We ventured into the neighborhood behind the park to check out the lovely homes, each with their own personality. The people were so friendly to wave and say 'hi' as we walked by. There's two good size parking areas -- pay to park machines are easy to find.

My 12-year-old son is playing here now, and I played here myself about 20 years ago, which makes it really special and nostalgic for me. It's also still a great spot to catch a game and spend time with family. You can tell it's always been well cared for, and I'm truly glad it continues to be maintained so nicely. Only way to access it is by taking Victoria all the way to the end with a sharp right onto San Nicholas before Victoria turns into Roosevelt and there's a small public parking lot at the end on the left. There are bathrooms which are pretty nice for public beach bathrooms and the beach is so nice here! Sand is clean, beach is wide... If the lot is full you can try to find parking on San Nicholas or on Ocean where there are several little beach access points between the homes... Also if you drive all the way down ocean, at the very end, at the last house there's a hidden road that looks like a private driveway but it's not, turn right, it's long and tight, and it will take you to another small beach parking lot!! A hidden gem! There's even a public bathroom out on the sand, a bit of a walk from the lot and very clean! Highly recommend!

What a fun addition to The Collection! I was fortunate enough to pop in today to check this place out and I just loved it! It's very vibey and seems like the perfect place to blow off some steam, hang with buddies and enjoy some locally sourced bevs and a good time. Awesome place to celebrate my dad's birthday! Fun for all ages. We've been to the Thousand Oaks location but will continue to come to the Oxnard location because Ray is THE BEST! Never thought I'd enjoy throwing axes as much as I did but its my second time here and I brought some friends this time and they had a blast. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to teach you how to trow. Great vibe overall, and I really enjoyed relaxing at the outside patio firepit after our set. Come alone or with friends.
