We have 8 antique Sheraton mahogany dining chairs from the 1920s that had started to REALLY show their age. Back slats became cracked, or completely broken, legs and stretchers loosened and gradually we were left with 4 (barely) usable chairs. My wife and I discussed donating them, they were so bad off...but, we really loved them. Enter Shaa. He repaired all of them, (including one with a back that had broken into 4 pieces), taking them apart, scraping off old glue, regluing & clamping them, and lightly staining to blend in the repair work. Now they are back to being wonderful places to sit in around our dining table, enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. Shaa is a true artist! I took a large ceramic lamp to him to see if it was possible to repair. It had been knocked off a table on to the floor and shattered. I was sure that it was now trash. However, when Shah looked at it he said that he was sure he could put it back together and make it look new. Shaa is a magician! My beloved and expensive ceramic art broke, and he did a beautiful repair. He needed to disassemble the piece and glue it back. Those "in progress" pictures were scary -- white lines showing everywhere. Then he painted the glue and blended away evidence of the cracks. It was incredibly detailed and well executed. His price was much more reasonable than a quote I had gotten closer to home. It was a three hours drive round trip to drop the piece off, and another to pick up -- totally worth it. I ordered a fairly expensive ceramic lamp that was damaged during shipping. The company was great and sent me a new one, and asked that I just dispose of the broken one. That seemed wasteful, so after staring at it for a few weeks I started researching ceramic repair and Shah's name came up. Not only is he a wizard fixing pretty much anything, but also a gifted artist which explains the incredible quality of his work. We had a precious French china lamp that was chipped by Victory Van Lines while in storage at their Sterling, VA facility (avoid them!). Shaa comes to the rescue, having found him here on Yelp. He very skillfully rebuilt the porcelain where the base was broken and color-matched four colors of intricate paint. The job also entailed some greater challenge with the lampshade mount, but he did not increase his quote; he just handled it. So I am bringing him other repairs requiring superior skills. I had a hand made spanish tray that I dropped a ceramic soap dispenser on. Cracked all the way through in several directions. Did not think it could be fixed. I highly recommend The Master Studio for re-wiring needs. I have brought several projects to Shaa and he has quickly fixed them and at a fair price. One of them was a 1920's electric fireplace which was in very bad condition - photo attached of refurbished piece, which he just so happened to have vintage pieces that were needed in his inventory.
