I found Furniture House on Yelp, so we decided to make the drive out to Manassas. We were NOT disappointed! We were greeted at the door by the owner, Maged, who was not at all pushy, but instead encouraged us to look around and promised he would get us a good deal. When we didn't find what we were looking for, he sent us 2 minutes down the road to his other store. There, we found exactly what we wanted--a Jackson Furniture L-shaped sectional (sturdy and American-made) under our budget. Maged insisted on covering shipping costs for us and told us to expect our new couch in 8 weeks. It arrived in less than a month! We now have the most comfortable sofa on the planet and we can't stop lounging on it (or bragging about it) :) Bottom line: Maged provided exceptional customer service and bent over backwards to get us what we were looking for at a good price. Will return for our next piece of furniture!

And you can opt to have them finished (paint or stain) depending on the piece. Of course there is an extra charge if you want them to finish the piece. They deliver, but they do not assemble. I am finally understanding that the reason their products are "cheap" is because they are very low quality. Alex is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the Stressless recliners and they have a lot of them on the floor. I ordered Two chairs and they were delivered in 3 weeks. The delivery men arrived within their estimated arrival time, assembled the chairs, took pictures of the assembled chairs and brought them into the house. They pointed out a scratch in the leather seat on one of the chairs and let me know that he had sent the store a picture of the scratched seat. Within 5 minutes of the delivery men leaving, I got a call from the store indicating that they had ordered a replacement seat for the chair and would have it within 3 weeks and would sent someone out to replace the scratched seat. Fantastic customer service!

As they were writing up the order they told us there was a mistake - that the salesman had not included the price of the headrest on the loveseat. It would be an additional $350.00. We said, "since it was your mistake, please waive it - the salesman saw us trying out the loveseat with the headrest..." Their response: "No, we won't waive it or even lower it. No compensation, full stop." It just didn't make sense. We left without purchasing the item.

It's my second Murphy bed from the terrific Rob Myers, owner of the More Space Place in Chantilly, Va. (The first one lasted 21 years of daily use). Even with an injured rotator cuff, I have no problem pulling down and putting up the new bed. The mattress is really comfy (choices are firm or plush). Their installers are top-notch, and creatively solve problems of tricky interiors. They also do all sorts of other custom cabinetry and built-ins, but all I needed was a place to sleep. I've known Rob since 2004 and he is terrific. I've recommended him to a half-dozen friends who are equally pleased with the results. I can't say enough good things about him and his crew.
