Just celebrated my son and DIL's wedding and it was spectacular. From the immaculately kept grounds for photos, the marble and chandeliers as you enter, the food selections throughout the evening and the service were worthy of 5 stars. The choices of food during the cocktail reception and dessert was incredible. There was something for everyone. During dinner service, I was surprised that the chef actually came out from the kitchen to check on each table and asked about our meal. I know my DIL (my son not so much) was very organized and she said the venue delivered everything as promised and on time. I attended a cousins wedding at the Mansion on Main Street this past weekend in South Jersey. I'm not familiar with the surrounding area but the grounds as well as the venue itself are absolutely beautiful. It's a place any bride would dream of celebrating their special day. It's truly picturesque. As a guest I'm not 100% sure of the cost etc. or any behind the scenes dilemmas that may have arose however, the doors leading to the ceremony which started at 6 were closed promptly; so timeliness is a must. Champagne awaited at the main entry of Cocktail hour which was superb. There was a plethora of choices to satisfy any diet including open bar. The main dining area was breathtaking. I'm not sure if the bride booked an outside decorator but everything was spectacular. With everything being so wonderful, I was disappointed by the main dish. BRIDES BE WARNED. DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE. Do not get married here. This is the text I sent to my wedding "specialist" the day after my wedding. First of all, they booked my reception room until 30 minutes before my ceremony. I get to the venue , a nervous bride, and they put me in a room ALONE next to blaring music. Oh since there was a party in the room before hand my very expensive band couldn't get a sound check and everything was rushed. They tried to make the cocktail hour go longer... again wasting my money and time for the band. I had to tell them to end it. What bride has to run the night on her wedding day. Oh yeah and they also messed up the microphones at my ceremony, no one could hear anything. ALSO forgot to put all my expensive favors on the tables, I really wanted a photograph of that ... but they messed up again. They forced me to have my guests choose meal beforehand bc they said it would be faster. DINNER TOOK SO LONG AND IT WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. I recently got married here and my wife and I could not have been happier with our experience. We had visited a lot of venues in the process of picking venues with some downright being outwardly shady to other just being very disinterested with an attitude of if you don't book someone else will. At the mansion we worked with Amy Patto which was such a pleasure to work with. She helped us through the whole process leading up to that day and was there for our wedding as well. We have various contacts with different people who are part of the whole process, we talked with the bar manager, the chef, and even the owner at points and I really felt like they were taking care of us through the whole process. One of my biggest concerns getting married is that I have an Italian family who are very outwardly critical when it comes to food. I knew if the food was not good I would never hear the end of it. The day of our walk through they happened to be doing a tasting and when I expressed this they offered for my wife and I to go up and try some stuff. I have to say at that point I was pretty sold and I have still heard guest stating they were really blown away by the food. I should also note we have several people who had food allergies and a handful of people that where vegetarian. Including a few people that had health issues that dictated what they would eat and if it flair up they could not eat their original choice. Amy assured us that if that happened the kitchen could make adjustments on the fly and it worked out perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the food. Logistically, we had about 200 guest and were in the 3rd floor ball room. We did our cocktail hour downstairs and where married in their greenhouse. They did a good job managing guest and we loved the ceremony space. We did have guest choose their food on the RSVP cards and it was actually pretty easy to have them do it that way. The entrée's we got where the Mushroom Capon, the prime rib and the Salmon. I didn't hear a single people not like their dish and they all came out with a good amount of time. I was even impressed with some of the liquor they included in the package. We did do a few upgrades but it was worth every cent. The lamb chops where really great and I am glad we added them to the cocktail hour. The mini beef wellingtons where also outstanding and the cheese steak eggrolls that where included were great. I only wish I got to try the pasta that everyone raved about but due to pictures never got a chance to taste any. The bridal attendant we had was amazing. I assumed my wife asked her to take her phone and just snap photos that day but when I asked her she told me the attendant offered. The photos where great, we had two professional photographers too but it was nice to just have some simple photos of things we would look at that night after it was all over. It's large and beautiful venue for weddings and large family events. I was very surprised it's located in Voorhees because I've never seen it before. I went for an Easter Brunch on Sunday. It's pretty pricey per person. They had a nice little event for the kids to take pictures with the Easter bunny and collect eggs. The event was supposed to last over an hour, but they ran out of eggs pretty quickly. The food is alright if not slightly tasteless because after all, it is a buffet style catering. They ran out of ham and sirloin steak by 3 PM. I didn't see any sushi assortments there, although that's a weirdly out of place brunch option they had. From the start of my mother's party planning until the final seconds of the party, Amy, Kim And Sojourn were fantastic. They were accommodating to all of our needs. We have mini conventions and sales meetings here a few times a year. They have been nothing but accommodating and professional throughout. When dealing with the kitchen the Corporate Chef has made himself accessible to us as well as the staff who works diligently at keeping the many food stations and what not filled and secure. Our party of 12 was seated at one round table. It was tight but we could easily converse. It was their Easter Sunday brunch and we were celebrating my mom's birthday. It was the perfect venue for the combined event. For Easter they had an egg hunt for the kids and a giant rabbit making the rounds for pictures. I had my wedding here back in 2010 and everything was perfect! The matre d was wonderful. Andrea was my wedding coordinator and she was amazing. Not sure if she is still there, but def get her if you want a smooth wedding. She wasn't my wedding coordinator from the beginning though. I had someone else that left the company, so I was given to her. I'm glad I did. She responded to my emails promptly, and helped in any way she could. As for their brunch...it's a hit or miss, but mostly a hit. It's one of my favorite places to go for brunch. They have a large selection of breakfast and lunch items. You can also find dinner items too! Haha. I love the fresh cut prime rib, the fresh omlette station and waffle station too. Service during brunch is extremely slow though. Sometimes, you could be waiting forever just for a refill on drinks. So, if you need something, make sure to order right off the bat bc you never know when you might see the server again. FYI...they do offer coupons on their website for the brunch. And if you get their emails, they sometimes send you buy one get one deals. Went to the mansion for my daughters bridal shower. She wanted an old fashioned afternoon tea. We went with the mansion because the tea rooms around couldn't accommodate enough people. We were so impressed with the beauty of the mansion and the promises made by our sales rep. Well, unfortunately her promises fell quite short. And after making those promises and making The sale she didn't know me. I was passed off to someone else. Matter of fact I saw this sales rep while having a planning meeting and I said hello to her as she was showing another client around and she totally ignored me. The sandwiches were not at all pleasing to the eye. The desserts were good enough but were not served on 3 tier towers as promised and there were 3 different types each on a platter and not assorted so that everyone could have opportunity to try different ones. The most important issue was that tea was not offered!! We had to ask for tea and it was a long process to get! Coffee was served but tea was never mentioned! The bride even asked if this is my tea party then why isn't there any tea?? We had to ask for it for her and it took forever. We also had to guarantee 60 guests but we weren't allowed to take any food with us and we only had 48 show up. I would think if there were 60 guests prepared for that all that extra food would have at least been offered us to take some home since we paid for it but no, I couldn't eat mine and it was a huge problem to even get PERMISSION to take that home! Guests that didn't like all 5 tea sandwiches could not ask for seconds of a variety they did like. So , basically it's a beautiful venue even though I did a lot of my own decorating but the food was not as good and the presentation was nowhere even close to what was promised. Specially for the price. I wouldn't go again. I also suggest that they don't misrepresent what they are serving and don't make promises they know they have no intention of fulfilling!!! Another major annoyance was as my daughter was opening her final gift. My special gift which i put so much thought into planning out something old something new something borrowed and something blue with the Something borrowed being my deceased mother's, her grandmothers pearls the mater'd decided it was a good time to discuss where I wanted my decorating supplies moved to as I was recording this very emotional and special moment. I mean it was just one mistake after another. Oh, almost forgot, I mentioned that we only had 55 guests and was told we would get extra bottles of champagne (yes, on top of all we paid (grossly over priced for what was served) we had to pay $25 per bottle of champagne for the mimosa bar plus fees so it ended up being $34 per bottle. And on top of all the added fees on top of the price per person there was a 4% charge to pay by credit or debit and the only other option was cash!!!! Driving onto this property you'll be immediately impressed... A gorgeous building with beautifully maintained grounds.... Inside you'll be greeted by some very pleasant staff... But the the only thing that I can say about the meals served there is that it's edible... That's it... I had taken another couple here for brunch one Sunday when my wife and I decided to try this place... Since we go out together often, we just kind of gave each other the silent look of disbelief when we saw what they were serving... You would expect that a place like this would serve mostly housemade items... But sadly, none of the baked items were nothing more than boxed goods... All of the meat items, with roasts being the exception, tasted like it was taken out of the freezer and placed on the warmer to heat.. I even had to laugh at how miserable the gentleman was making the omelets... and the omelets mirrored this dudes attitude... I mean he really looked like he wanted nothing to do with the job that morning.. Amazing that this place is so beautiful and is marketed for major receptions and weddings... "Bill Murray"-The Lounge Lizard at the auto-orchestra singing during your meal is a complete waste of time. Only have one problem--when you leave your table to get more food-the waitstaff refolds your napkin. This seems unsanitary to me as the napkins are touching everyone's mouths-then the waitstaff touches the dirty napkins! I know they are trying to give "fancy" service--but I would feel allot more comfortable if the waitstaff wasn't continually refolding everyone's dirty napkins! Not cool! I was totally excited to come here for Sunday brunch after previewing a sample menu. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue, complimentary valet (though you should still tip them), and excellent service. Only thing lacking was great food. Yes it is a buffet and more often than not, quality suffers because of it but I was hoping Mansion would be different. Prime rib, lamb, chicken, salmon, eggs benedict... all well done and dry. We were the first seating at 10am too, so they must have cooked it an hour or so ago. Sushi selection was sad, no raw fish and most of the filling was rice. Only things I liked were the fruit (can't go wrong here), smoked salmon, seared tuna (disappeared quickly), shrimp salad, and cooked to order custom waffles (yumm yumm). They also have a cooked to order omlette station. Regardless, not worth the $30 per person unless you like all your meats well done (shame shame if you do). Luckily we had a Restaurant.com coupon so we didn't waste too much money. We filled out the comment card and mentioned our concerns to the manager when he came over to check on us. He was apologetic and said he could have anything cooked to order for us, but at that point we were already full. What I found strange is that he thinks because it is a buffet, you have to cook everything well done. Ummm no, I've been to buffets that can cook things beautifully tender and juicy. Also funny, as we were walking out, we heard the hostess reading our comment card, "So we have dry overdone food now!" Hey it's constructive criticism people, use it to make yourselves better! For those of you interested in having your wedding here, manager did say that food would be cooked to order, so shouldn't be like the buffet food. I waited until today because I don't think that I could have written a proper review while I was so upset. I had my baby shower here. The food was great and the promises were great...but the results did not meet the expectations and when you pay that much money, you shouldn't be spending the first two hours of your baby shower running around trying to fix the mistakes they had made. 1) The biggest problem I had was the fact that I was promised air conditioning and this did not happen. I picked this place solely for the crystal room because it was beautiful, but the day before the event I showed up to decorate with my parents and it was 96 degrees in the room !! I am not exaggerating. Mind you, that I am 31 weeks pregnant and I was about to pass out multiple times. That day I was promised that tomorrow it would be "very cool" and air conditioned and not to worry. They started the air condition and it should be cool. The next morning, it was 81 degrees in there and creeping up because of the sun. I asked for fans at least and they brought me 2 fans and they had no more. The cake I had spent a lot of money on started to crack from the heat. And my guests were uncomfortable in their dresses. I kept joking that maybe I should've told them to come in swimsuits. Honestly, my guests were wonderful and good sports and that was what made my shower amazing. For the first two hours I spend more time talking to the staff about getting more fans. The manager came up and kept saying "the air conditioning is on" and "we are going to get more fans' and it took an hour an a half and they came back with one more fan, which wasn't enough. I asked to speak to the manager and when he came back (again 2 hours into the party nothing significant was done), he had the nerve to yell at my mom who was just upset that I was upset. I was near tears when I should've been relaxed and enjoying the party. As a professional in my job, I would never yell or raise my voice otherwise I can kiss my job goodbye. There are better ways to portray yourself and he really portrayed himself poorly in this situation. What is worse, is that we came to find out he blatantly lied along with everyone else, because later they admitted that they actually just bought the place 3 wks ago and had "new air conditioning system" placed, but that "its going to be hooked up next week" and that they didn't have it functioning currently. How can you host a party in a greenhouse room during the heat of summer with no good working air conditioner? Would he want to host his family there? I highly doubt that. I honestly could forgive everything if they said maybe it had broken down, but to lie to me and tell me everything would be fine and that they got a new air conditioning unit and it would be cool the day of the event, and instead I had to find out that all along they knew that the "new air conditioning system" was actually not functioning and wouldn't be functioning for another week, was beyond upsetting. I honestly could have had the party outside in my backyard with some tents and had it catered and it would have been much better. The top of the crystal room is like sauna/greenhouse and it is unacceptable that it wouldn't be air conditioned. They finally moved us from one room to another room which was cooler and finally I could relax. It wasn't the room I wanted or what I would've picked but at least my guests weren't melting. Anyway, because of the running around, I actually never got to open my gifts with my guests there and just took them home to open because I was so busy trying to get some answers to this whole situation. They also tried to make it better by giving us free wine and beer, but at that point most of my guests were leaving and to be honest a lot of their actions were almost too little too late. I will say that at least they did move us to an air conditioned room and they did do it quickly when they decided to do it (which again was halfway through my shower). Again, it just wasn't what I paid for or wanted. 2) Honestly, I could have forgiven the rest of the problems if it wasn't for the air conditioning problem, but here are the rest of the issues I was promised gluten free options and instead I had to ask the day of and the waiter told me "i'm sorry. the chef missed the note and didn't realize". They did rectify that immediately. Also, the tablecloths were all wrinkled. Again, not a big deal but just adding to everything. And finally, the night before when we were decorating, there were two dead bees on the floor and we told the one manager who said "i'll be here first thing in the morning and make sure it's cool in here and that they get rid of the dead bees" Well guess what, my guests and I kept joking that the dead bees on the floor died because of the heat in the room (which is probably accurate) Anyway, just think twice before you host your event here. Ive been to the Mansion for Sunday brunch on numerous occasions. on 3/26/17 I had a noon reservation. I arrived at brunch @ 11:50am to find a long checkin line. I was seated at my table at 12:25pm. Unacceptable wait. When I commented to the maitre D about the long wait, her reply was "I can't wait to get my break" What??? After being seated, the waiter was loud and short with us and did not seem to be on his game . The service was barely mediocre. The gold star was the food...varied and flavorful. The negatives...the long wait, the staff, and the picture taking in from of the various food stations by the patrons was a little troubling and disturbing! For the amount of money, the service should be much much better. Please tighten up your service Mansion. read more

The main attraction is the actually food, which is pretty good, smoked fish, beef, turkey, grilled veggies and fresh hummus I would recommend they add more advanced cheese selection with some Greek feta, french gruyere, Artisanal cheeses, more fruit and fresh Baguettes Overall not a bad choice for South Jersey, again deserts were plentiful but poor ingredients make for poor desserts . I went here for Father's Day brunch. The grounds are beautiful and every person we ran into was very nice. We looked in a few of the rooms and they were all really nice for parties, weddings, etc. They also had a few photography books laying around of previous events and it seems like a great place to hold a special function. As for brunch, I was pretty satisfied with our experience. There was a large variety of food to eat that was all above average. Sometimes places suffer with quality at large buffets like this, but I was pretty impressed. The eggs benedict, prime rib and salad all stood out as strong dishes. Even the omelet lady was nice when I asked her to pour the oil out of her pan when making my veggie omelet. The only complaints I had were: - The table we sat at. It was the size of a four person table, but the legs on the two sides were right at the edge so you couldn't fit your legs underneath for two people. We must have rattled the table 5 times and spilled drinks twice because of the table legs. We asked for a new table but they only had two or six person tables otherwise. Frustrating. - There were no crackers for the cheese. Odd. Who eats cheese squares with no crackers? It was a nice spread of cheese too. Bummer. - The fresh seafood was a mussel on the half shell. I understand shrimp or oysters for the raw bar scene (which would have been awesome) and maybe if the mussels were in addition, it would have been OK. Plus, big huge mussels are leathery, if you're going to serve them raw bar style, give the smaller ones. Otherwise mussels belong in a marinara or garlic white wine broth (Also would have been awesome). They stood out like a sore thumb and I didn't see a single person putting them on their plate. The people who work here as far as waiters,bartenders and the peopole who set up your room were nice...the people who work outside, I am unsure of what they do but open the doors were JERKS...perhaps car valets? I wouldn't trust them with my car. There is plenty of parking so that is good if you are going to have an event here. The food was ok...have I had better yes, but for banquet hall food it was ok- I wouldn't say it was a 5 star dining experience. The prices were pretty reasonable and the woman who we worked with was willing to work with our budget, without going over it which was very nice. I will say sometimes it was hard to find someone to help you... Like a person in charge- I always had to ask a random person to find my banquet Captain. I came here with my mom on Mothers's Day for brunch. It's a beautiful place and I was immediately impressed. From the complimentary valet and the incredible spread for their brunch buffet I just knew this place would be worthy of 4 or even 5 stars. However, the food (although abundant) average at best. Nothing tasted bad but it was slightly bland and I didn't find one thing that I absolutely loved. The service was pretty good although our waiter told us that when we came back to our seats our coffee would be waiting for us and it wasn't. He stopped by a little later and asked if we needed anything and that is when we reminded him about our coffee. Five stars across the board. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for, which is excellent quality food and service. I enjoyed the high end feel, they had a live singer, and well dressed servers and cooks. The only negative is that the servers didn't look happy to be there, i didn't notice a single smile, although they were friendly and attentive. One of my favorite places to go for brunch. I think prices are pretty reasonable for what is served. They have carved turkey, prime rib, waffle station, omlette station, salad bar, and hot dishes (changes often). I think all of the food is pretty good. I love it when they serve lamb! Mmmm! Another plus is that you get a complimentary glass of mimosa per person. Service can be a miss here (sometimes they dissappear forever!), but if that happens, just ask another server and they're more than happy to help with anything. Service for wedding is amazing though! Had my wedding back in 2010 and everything ran smoothly. Not sure if anything changed since then, but I do recommend this place for a wedding. They tend to have deals on Living Social, so make sure to look out for them and purchase right away if you see it! Overall: I'll be back! read more

My recent event here (I've had an event here 14 years ago) was mediocre at best. The day got off swimingly when I pulled up with my mother to the front entrance (which is supposed to be for valet-only). We wanted to drop off a few items and then go park. Mr. Valet Parking Guy took it upon himself to repeatedly tell us we couldn't park here, we had to move, we had to go, we couldn't park here when my mom was trying to explain that we were just dropping off a few things, for her event. Mind you we had done this the day previous with no problem. I finally got aggravated enough to say "We're only dropping off THREE FUCKING THINGS" afterwhich Mr. Bigshot Valet Parker started waking towards me saying some stupid hogwash I ignored. My mom walked in, I leaned on the car, and then moved it. The service was mixed. Harry was excellent and was very accommodating and so nice. The other servants just seemed to be there to put soup in your bowl and nothing else. No smile. The other side of my table was repeatedly offered coffee while my side (the farthest side) was not. Everything seemed rushed though... in a four hour event (first hour being a cocktail hour) we got our meal about 20 minutes after the end of cocktail hour. Slow down! The food was meh. The soup was Beef Barley. It was very salty (and I am young and put salt on everything I cook). The elder people also noted its saltiness and didn't finish their meals. The Chicken Marsala which I had had little to zero Marsala / wine. It just seemed like chicken with two mushrooms and mushroom sauce. The chicken itself was dry and not unlike a something you'd get at a bad local joint. Non-critically, the old folks enjoyed the chicken. The cake was out-sourced, thankfully. Overall, the environment is nice but my experience here was less than satisfactory, especially for the cost. read more

Originally when we booked for a large party at the Sunday brunch, we inquired about gluten free options. We were told over the phone there would be gluten free breads and pastries and these gluten free items would be labeled. When we attended the Sunday brunch, we went to the buffet and there were no gluten free pastry options labeled. We asked the maitre'd and he said everything was baked at an outside bakery and there were no gluten free options. Having gluten free bakery options was one of the reason we booked our party at the Mansion for brunch. We were extremely disappointed, especially because the brunch is pricey. Unfortunately it is not worth the money if you cannot eat majority of the food. However, the staff was very nice and accommodating. read more
