I subbed for veg bacon with an up charge but forgot to add egg (which they call "hell yeah". This was massive and the basil butter/chipotle mayo was so delicious. The potatoes are mid but it was so nice to have the veg options! Again, cute place. The website is outdated but the food speaks for itself!

The original Brewery we wanted to go to was in an area that had been hi-jacked and overtaken by local folks, strollers, bikes and what seemed an endless amount of people on foot. .......The Parade. Roads closed, traffic lights confused, and the so ever awesome bumper to bumper standstill of angry vehicles. On this particularly hot day. Keep in mind we had already been in traffic coming from the North Shore. It was now 2pm. We circled about 5 times and not a single parking space in sight, there might have been one available in Chilliwack.....moving on.... So, we decided....let's go someplace familiar, reliable, quality that will most likely deliver. That's exactly what we got. Little place called New Port Village. Free parking right in front of Browns. Beautiful comfy inside and cozy sunny patio with great service. The only thing I wanted was a cold beer and Dry Ribs I had been craving all day. 2 Stellas on tap. Dry Ribs and The Traditional Burger.....and they all rocked. I love Brown's Dry Ribs. I'm used to the ones from Cactus but Brown's is slightly meatier and juicier. The Burger was perfectly cooked. Super Fresh. Stellar put together. Cozy little booth away from the heat, cold beer, juicy burger and a feisty irresistible Dry Ribs. ....and all of this served to us graciously by our awesome server Grace. Yup. I've been coming to Browns for years, but it was my first time at this location. They've got a nice little patio area, which would be great for the summertime and people creeping. It was a Sunday afternoon and I honestly expected there to be a bit of a wait, but we were able to snag a big booth right away. After a big hike, we decided to treat ourself to some drinks, a few caesars for the table and a couple beers. For food, my pals went for the fish tacos and I went for the Biltmore pizza w/ chipotle mayo on the side (my fave dish from Browns). I haven't been to Browns in a few months, and honestly I forgot how great their pizza was. Like many other Canadian fare chains, the prices are a bit pricy for what you're getting, but the portions are fairly large. The caesars definitely hit the spot perfectly as well. Service was quick and efficient, Overall a lunch well had. Our area was perfect for a large gathering. Although the restaurant was lively and a little noisy, we could still hear one another and have good conversations. The main dining area seemed louder, but not uncomfortably so. I ordered the chicken salad, and it was very good. At approximately $25, it seemed a little expensive for a salad, but the portion was considerably larger than I expected and very satisfying. Everyone in our group appeared to enjoy their meals. They offer a wide selection of beers from many different craft breweries, which added to the experience. The restaurant was clean, spacious and had a great atmosphere. There is also a large, bright waiting area at the entrance and a patio at the back. Overall, CRAFT Beer Market was an excellent choice for our large group, and the thoughtful service really stood out.

Craft Beer Market at the Salt Building proved to be an excellent choice for our large gathering of…read more24 people. Organizing a group of that size can be challenging, but the restaurant accommodated us with ease and made the entire experience feel remarkably seamless. The location is also very convenient for anyone arriving by transit. It is just a short walk from Main Street-Science World SkyTrain Station, making it an easy meeting point for a group coming from different parts of Vancouver. From the station, the route takes you through the Olympic Village area and along the waterfront, so even getting to dinner feels like part of the experience. The staff were professional, attentive, and well organized throughout the evening. Despite the size of our party, service remained consistent, with the team making sure everyone was looked after without making the experience feel rushed or impersonal. They also went the extra mile by giving our group a more intimate space, which made a significant difference. Having our own area allowed us to enjoy the evening together without feeling like we were simply occupying a large collection of tables in the middle of the restaurant. The setting itself adds another layer to the experience. Located inside the historic Salt Building at Olympic Village, the restaurant occupies a building with a fascinating connection to Vancouver's industrial past. The structure dates back to the early 20th century and was originally associated with the city's salt and fishing industries. Today, its preserved industrial character provides a striking contrast to the modern dining environment. The combination of heritage architecture and contemporary restaurant design gives the space a distinctive sense of place. For a group gathering, that atmosphere works particularly well. There is enough energy and activity to keep the room lively, while the historic structure gives the restaurant more character than a typical modern dining space. The food was tasty throughout our meal, with a menu broad enough to accommodate different preferences within a large group. Having plenty of options made it easy for everyone to find something appealing, and the food arrived in a timely manner despite the number of people being served. What impressed me most, however, was how smoothly everything came together. Large groups can easily become complicated, particularly when it comes to seating, ordering, timing, and keeping everyone comfortable. Craft Beer Market handled all of those details professionally. The decision to give us a more intimate space was especially appreciated. It created a sense of occasion and allowed our group to actually spend time together rather than having conversations divided across a large dining room. Overall, Craft Beer Market at the Salt Building was a great fit for our gathering. The combination of attentive service, a comfortable private-feeling space, tasty food, convenient transit access, and a unique historic setting made for a memorable evening. For anyone organizing a larger celebration, group dinner, or casual gathering, this location is well worth considering. The staff demonstrated that they can comfortably handle a sizeable party while still providing the kind of attentive service that makes guests feel genuinely welcomed. Add in the character of one of Vancouver's historic industrial buildings, the easy walk from Main Street-Science World Station, and the lively Olympic Village surroundings, and you have a setting that feels distinctly Vancouver: a little bit of history, a little bit of modern city life, and a good meal shared with a large group of people.
