The simulator was glitchy wouldn't detect the ball half the time. We ordered fries and wings, it was just okay. Server was ditzy and odd. THENNN when we were ready to pay we had to wait at the front for 10 minutes while she did ?? In the back. Tip no, will we be back no!

Me and my group's experience was very positive and enjoyable! Our group came to the restaurant during Happy Hour time, so upon walking in and checked in, we were seated pretty quickly. We sat at the booth section versus the bar area and the booths are really spacious to where even sitting with 3 people on one side, you still have a bit of wiggle room. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very eccentric, positive vibes but the lighting was pretry dim that we had to use our flash light every so often. Service-wise, our waitress was professional, positive, efficient and seemed like she was pretty new to this but was doing great! She provided us water and took our drink order a couple minutes after. Upon bringing our drinks, we were ready to order and she quickly took our order. After ordering, it was not long before our food came out, within 5-10 minutes and the waitress frequently checking up on how we were doing. Really great service in the end! The food that was provided to us was really good! The Chicken Gyoza was bomb, very flavorful and was not dry, as you might think. When biting in, the juices of the chicken melts in your mouth and wanting more. The Hot wings was definitely way too hot for me, as I am not a spicy food person, but my family loved the hot wings a lot. The Sweet Thai Chili wings was very good itself and surprisingly not that spicy but just that sweet kick and VERY juicy in texture and flavor. Lastly, the Snacker Nachos was very cheesy, not dry in flavor and adding the Tandoori Chicken in, made it even better to where me and my family just wanted more of the tandoori chicken! Overall experience for us was great, especially for first impressions, the service was exceptional and food was fulfilling! Would recommend this restaurant for casual and party gathering, if wanting to having a relaxed and fun time.

We got here after 8+ pm for a late dinner after off-roading in the Squamish valley. The place was…read morebig and luckily it was not full house as it was a weeknight. There were many tvs and a big screen projector showing the hockey game. Then I noticed Canucks jerseys hanging from the rafter and on the walls. Ok, so sports was big here. It was not rowdy though. We sat away from the main dining hall and got a corner table near the entrance. Service was ok, took a while for the requested extra napkins to come. Our server forgot about it. Guessed it was busier in the main hall which was on a spilt level up. Food wise, it was decent food in a neighborhood pub. Not a huge selection but it had the typical food here so everyone should be able to get something they like. The calamari was surprisingly good. Tender lightly battered squid, not rubbery at all. The whiskey bbq ribs with fries and slaw were good too. The wild BC salmon burger with clam chowder was so-so. I wished the salmon was a bit less over cooked. Salmon was lightly charred outside and unfortunately the inside was a bit hard. At least not too dry. I would prefer the salmon to just have a light crisp with the inside being 70-80% cooked. The miso glaze was nice though. The clam chowder as the side was bad as it did not taste like it at all. It was more of a cream of vegetables soup with some bits of clams in it. That was a disappointment. Fries or salad for the side in future. I also had the Moscow mule. It had real ginger bits in it. I didn't care for that as you kept getting them in every sip and they were real gingery spicy. Not a place I would make a special trip for, but a decent place for a meal when passing by. They open till 12 midnight or 1 am. Nice sized parking lot in front and back of the building.

Great service and good bar food. Loved the patio with panoramic mountain views…read more Wings were good but not great. I'd say everything I saw looked good for bar food though!

After starving to death (by choice-that ferry food looked and smelled nasty) on the1 1/2 hour ferry…read moreride from the mainland we were ready for some good food. It's in a gas station parking lot attached to the Howard Johnson. Do not let that deter you, it was really solid pub food, definitely better and sustansibly more affordable than any pub I've eaten at in downtown Victoria. Clearly all of the other diners were locals, at 2pm on a Saturday. We sat in a cozy booth in the bar after being greeted by a very friendly bartender. We ordered two pints of Magners, the shepherd's pie with salad and the beef dip with frites. The shepherd's pie was beef, so technically a cottage pie, which I prefer. It came piping hot, with little scoops of mash on top and a dark colored gravy. Perfection, meaty, creamy, cheesy deliciousness. The salad was quite nice with field greens, cherry tomato halves, carrot, cucumber and green onion with housemade basalmic vinaigrette. The frites were of the super crispy possibly breaded variety, really excellent dipped in the au jus that came with the roast beef dip. I'd definitely come back on my next visit to get really good Irish pub grub without all the touristy prices.

We tried a new restaurant (to us) in Surrey last night called Skye Avenue. It was such a lovely…read moreexperience. It is beautifully appointed It has nice high ceilings but there is still a warm welcoming feel. It's the staff. They are all so welcoming and treat you like they are genuinely happy to serve you. They have music playing but it is subtle, adds nicely to the ambiance and is not too loud. The food was very good. We got there before happy hour so we were able to order a couple of glasses of decent house wines for $6.00 a glass and shared an appetizer of crispy chicken lettuce bites. For entrees my husband had an 8 oz. prime rib special. It was so good. cooked as he had requested it. One of the better prime ribs that we've tasted and it was only $30.00 as a Sunday special. I had the lamb loin that was also very good. Service was also very good. Our server, Stella was so busy but she checked on us regularly to ensure that we were well taken care of. It is so nice when you go to a restaurant and it exceeds your expectations. This has the vibe of a fine dining restaurant with the décor, the muted background music, the service and the food. The prices are very reasonable for what they offer. We highly recommend and we'll be back.

I didn't actually realize how close it was via transit as it is right at the Surrey Central building where the Surrey SFU campus is. I believe it is the old pub/liquor store that used to be there. It is very beautifully decorated inside for the holiday season and spacious. It looks like it could honestly be nice for corporate events or semi private gatherings like a birthday/retirement or just regular date night. Our server was very nice so no qualms there. The only thing that threw me off was that our table was seated next to a bit of a gap by a booth and servers kept going through that area "as a short cut", which was a little tight on my end instead of them going around our table. that being said it was relatively empty when we came in, so I was kind of hoping that we didn't have to sit so close to other guests when there were available tables elsewhere. We caught happy hour which was nice and I would recommend their prime rib slider. The lettuce chicken wraps were good but nothing to venture out solely for. We had asked if they could substitute tofu instead of the chicken but we weren't able to make any adjustments to the dish. Our waiter did mention that there is a prime rib special on Sundays and that sounds really good. He also recommended to call ahead and reserve as it can often be sold out the day of. The truffle Parmesan fries were great, we got the cheese on the side as my friend is vegan. She had a crispy tofu bowl and said it was good. I'd like to come back for their prime rib special with my family. Pay parking lot is right across from the restaurant by the skytrain. too bad the restaurant doesn't validate parking.
