Peach mimosa
Vee R.

We decided to check out this spot after seeing it recommended a few times in a Frederick Facebook group. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the ambiance was inviting--exposed brick walls, string lights, and a chalkboard featuring the daily specials gave it a trendy, cozy vibe. The menu had a solid variety--from appetizers to brunch items, burgers, salads, and a full bar. We started with the fried pickles, which had a nice flavor, but the breading overwhelmed the thin slices--less pickle, tastes more grease & breading. The spicy ranch dip was a highlight, though! For our mains, my husband ordered the chicken and waffles, and I went with the crab Benedict. His waffle was unfortunately overcooked and wasn't served with butter, which we had to request. My crab Benedict had a strong Old Bay flavor--expected, but it came off a bit too salty for my taste. The homemade potatoes on the side were underwhelming in both portion and had no seasoning. I did enjoy the peach mimosa--it was refreshing and well-balanced. Service was good & friendly but we had to wave down our serve a couple times for butter or water refills. They do offer a military discount, we are so appreciative of the thoughtfulness. Overall, the experience was okay. We weren't blown away by the food this time around, but the atmosphere and menu options have potential. We'll likely give it another shot and hope for a better experience next visit.

Great experience here on a Monday for lunch. It was very quiet as we came during the week. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. Our server was fantastic. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and portion sizes were plenty. I will say I felt some of the prices were a little high, but otherwise I enjoyed my experience!

The Main Cup has gone downhill with new ownership. The food quality has decreased and the prices are way up. The cream of crab doesn't taste like crab. No chunks of crab and is more of a gelatin gravy than a cream. It was terrible.

Great menu with a lot of variety. Great service, fast and friendly and attentive.. Great ambiance with original brick walls.

Food was good, enjoyed the seafood chowder, BBQ wings, and Reuben with fries. It's a cozy restaurant with a little cavern feel to it, with music on Sunday nights. There's both indoor and outdoor seating for good weather days. Service is amazing from our server who checked in on us a couple times to the busboy who caught us outside and mentioned that I forgot my purse at the restaurant because he could see it through the window. He saved me an hour drive coming back to retrieve it! Thank you so much for a great night.

Harmony was our server. She was so cheerful, sweet and attentive. Loved the service. The place is great. The decor is warm and inviting. Matches the old town feel. The food was awesome. The salmon on my salad was freshly cooked. The basil vinigarette went so well with the salad and with strawberries and blueberries added gave the salad just the right amount of sweetness. Had to hold the pistachios due to my diet. Hubby's bacon was cooked just right. Bacon was not super thin or thick. Delicious describes it best. I didn't get to try the avocado toast but hubby said it was very tasty and had a little kick of spicy. Bathroom was immaculate and smelled fresh as soon as you enter it. This place is amazing. Will definitely return.

The atmosphere makes it a nice spot to relax, and the menu offers a decent variety with something for everyone. Prices are average for the area. While the presentation of the food was on point, the flavors didn't quite hit the mark for me this time. I also tried a cocktail that wasn't my favorite, but I'm definitely open to giving it another shot and trying something new next time.

Great service and exceptional food. This is a must do for crab cakes in Middletown. Everyone claims that they have the best crab cakes in Maryland, the Main Cup has the best in the valley for sure. All employees are wearing masks and tables outside we're spread apart for social distancing. Daily specials for today were the ribeye sandwich and shrimp quesadilla. Didn't get either one because, best crab cakes in the valley. Daily happy hours specials on beer and wine bottles are 50% off during happy hour as well. I miss visiting the Main Cup now that we don't live here but rest assured, this will not be the last check In here because we will visit every time we're are in town.

I always stop in to The main Cup when I am in town for the good food and the nostalgic memories of visiting Mains Ice cream and meat market as a child. I really like their crab cakes, they are the perfect combination of flavor and lump crabmeat. I also enjoy trying their house pasta salads as they are always very flavorful. The service is always good and surprisingly they have ample seating. The bar is pretty extensive as well making this a great place for a meal in the heart of historic Middletown.

If you'd like to wait 45 minutes for a burned sandwich, then get berated by a lying "bartender" then please come eat here.

We ordered the Greek omelet and the lite fare with a sausage patty. The Greek omelet was made with fresh spinach, onion, tomato, and feta cheese--loaded with veggies and plenty of feta, and cooked perfectly. The lite fare came with two eggs, tomato, avocado slices, toast, and a choice of meat. I ordered my eggs over medium with wheat toast and a sausage patty. When I asked for hot sauce, they brought both Pete's hot sauce and their house-made hot sauce. I loved their hot sauce so much, but unfortunately they were sold out, so I wasn't able to purchase any. I'm hoping to stop by again later to grab some. Overall, this is definitely a place I would return to.

My widf and I decided to give this place a try after reading the Yelp reviews…read more We love seafood and there are no good seafood restaurants in our immediate area in Pa. Interestingly, the restaurant is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The off street parking lot is small but fortunately there is paid street parking by an app, with no coin acceptance. There are approximately six-eight outdoor tables in the front of the restaurant that seat about four people each. The indoor dining area seats approximately eighty guests. This is by no means a fancy restaurant but it is clean and comfortable Our server Jalin was very sweet and attentive and recommended several dishes. Beer and mixed drinks are also served here. We started with the fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari had a delicious crunchy coating and was not chewy. For pur main dishes, my wife had the pecan and coconut crusted flounder and I had the seafood jambalaya. Both dishes were excellent with generous portions. Neither of the dishes were overcooked, with the flounder was light and prepared perfectly. Prices were reasonable and worth every penny, especially with how generous the portions were. We will definitely be going back to try other dishes and recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Not really authentic at all. Rice was plain and there was no Cajun flavor profile. I also had the cream of crab soup and that was ok. Unfortunately for them, I just had that at Fisherman's Crabdeck near Annapolis as well and that totally smashed the soup at Ragin by comparison. Our server was good though and attentive. I just wished the food was a little better.
