Absolutely loved this coffee shop! I can't believe I hadn't heard of this gem. Everything was great here. First of all, the place is huge so there are tons of places to sit, even upstairs. They have different kinds of seating areas too such as higher and lower tables, comfy seats, outside tables and even study rooms. Their coffee was so delicious and strong. I ordered the cloudy pumpkin pie cold brew and the cold foam on top was amazing. It actually tasted like sweet pumpkin pie and went really well with the strong cold brew. I also ordered their frittata and their protein box. I liked that they have items such as these rather than just pastries. They were both good options! I felt that the prices were fair. The cashier at the front was very friendly. They had good music for getting work done or just relaxing. I also thought their hours of service are great- they open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Oh and they even had samples of their banana bread at the front. Parking can be a bit tricky, but I was able to find a spot down the street. I would love to come back to try some more of the drinks such as their banana bread latte. read more

So I have been to the Tustin location and wanted to try out this one since it's closer to me. When I first got there I did look up parking beforehand so I found street parking fairly quickly. There are some Tuesdays where you have to pay attention to which side of the street you can park on if you get there before 11am! So just be aware. The inside of the cafe is fairly large and there's even an upstairs area! Lots of seating plus the study rooms off to the side which are my favorite part of it. The service is usually quick as it's not been busy each time I've gone (I go weekday mornings). Food is okay but I haven't tried too much of it, I mostly just enjoy their coffee. read more

Went here for breakfast this past Saturday.It was difficult to find and I had to park a few blocks away since they don't have a parking lot. The staff were very nice and friendly. The guy at the counter (Kenny) was helpful. Also the young women behind the counter making the drinks were polite and cheerful. We each ordered the bacon and egg burrito. In hindsight we probably should have split the burrito. Although delicious, it was a lot of food for us. Afterwords we were stuffed. The orange juice and the coffee were very tasty. Their coffee is organic which is nice. Most places don't serve organic coffee. The ambience is very casual and the restaurant was clean. Their breakfast menu was limited. Might be nice to add some more items for breakfast since that's the time when most people drink coffee. read more

So excited that it was finally open , so I had to come and check it out. When you walk in you are amazed at how big the shop is. It has a second floor that has tables and chairs and it also has private little rooms you can utilize for meetings or stuff. It is very nice. I also noticed they have what seems a full kitchen , not sure if they will be serving food. For drinks I ordered the iced ube latte and my daughter ordered an iced strawberry matcha. Both drinks were really good. I can say that the only inconvenience will be the parking because it is in a neighborhood where there isn't much parking. I would not consider the feeling of the space as cozy or like a quaint coffee shop feel. Instead it feels like a study space that just happens to have a coffee bar in it. The coffee and tea was not disappointing but the food was lacking. We tried a muffin and a scone. Both were very dry and we weren't asked if we wanted them warmed. We also had the bacon and feta frittata, which was also very dry with little flavor. The avocado toast was probably the only thing that had much flavor but that's because of the balsamic drizzle. We came in specifically because it's a roaster and was interested in trying a new espresso for home. We are taking a bag home but I'm not sure I would come back for anything else. read more

Wish I could give 10 stars! I had a very bad uber eats experience where the driver ate half of my sandwich. I was scared because obviously that's very rude and strange. I called the location and told them about the situation. They made my bad experience a great one! I was already having a bad day so this really added to it, but they put my experience first. I know it costed them to comp and offer a gift card, so I am very grateful. They even added cookies and pastries and wrote a sweet "feel better" on my coffee cup. Shay and Owe were the kindest and most professional workers I've ever met. We are forever lost bean fans and I am thankful for kind people in the world. Last weekend, my friends and I frequented this coffee shop. It is a white building on a corner street and it is easy to miss. The place is spacious with plenty of low and high table and chair sets. There are private meeting rooms that are on a first come first serve basis. I had an iced Mixed Berry tea drink with a shot of honey. The customer service was warm and friendly. My friends loved their coffee which one described as having a buttery texture. I do not know the type of the coffee they ordered. My other friend ordered the chai iced tea and banana bread. There are a few separate rooms that can be used for studying, meetings, or just a quiet spot. The interior is huge with lots of seating both upstairs and downstairs. Got the frittata, but it was dry and didn't have much of a taste. Thought it might need salt or hot sauce... Also tried the Peppermint Bark Latte and I liked that it wasn't too sweet, but also it just didn't quite seem like a white mocha mixed with mint. Just a regular peppermint latte which was still fine. However, was met with no parking lot, and a neighboring house had a cone with a sign asking for The Lost Bean customers to not block their driveway (valid). There was no seating indoors, so we decided to sit outside. The coffee shop was busy, which made me hopeful that the menu was good. Yet, our simple iced oat milk lattes tasted quite burned, and the food took a while to come out... or at least, we didn't know when the food was ready because we never heard our order get called. Came here to study before a test and overall it was an okay experience. The two girls working were pretty friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. I ordered a matcha and a breakfast burrito, and my friend ordered an avocado toast. It didn't take too long for me to get my food, and my matcha was good. However, my friend's avocado toast took forever to come out. They had already served multiple coffees, and we even asked about it in case they forgot. They said it was just taking longer, but it didn't really make sense how my breakfast burrito came out much faster while an avocado toast took more than 15 minutes. On top of that, it's pretty expensive for what you get. Charging $2 for literally a small piece of avocado is kind of crazy. The matcha was good, but the food itself lacked flavor and didn't quite meet expectations. Overall, friendly service, but the food quality, wait time, and pricing could definitely be improved. read more

Just a quick warning -- if you park on Clark St on Tuesday mornings, you might get hit with a $65 street sweeping ticket, even if you're in the green 30-minute zone right in front of the café. The signs are stacked and confusing, with both 30-minute parking and street sweeping posted on the same pole. I got ticketed and noticed several other cars did too. I've submitted an appeal, and if this happened to you, I'd recommend doing the same -- especially since the signage isn't clear. To the owners -- I love your space and your team is always friendly. It might be helpful to post a small reminder inside or outside the shop to help customers avoid this kind of frustration. I stopped in for a flat white, and it was honestly really good. The space itself is huge, super clean, and has a great vibe. It's the kind of place you could hang out in for hours. Super nice coffee house which opened up very close to central Old Town. We had gone to their Tustin location several times but were really excited to try their soft opening in Orange. Location is very large with lots of open seating and a number of rooms which look to be available at some point in time for private/quiet use. The coffee was very tasty(we just ordered regular coffee, but they had lots of drink options), staff was very friendly, and the ambiance was very conducive for catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or just hanging out. I noticed the lost bean on my drive home from the orange circle a few weeks ago and finally got the chance to try it today. There is absolutely no parking, but on the street... Which is also a busy neighborhood. I ended up parking across the street at the liquor store. It's very spacious inside and it even looks like there will be an upstairs. Stopped in this morning for a half-sweet caramel macchiato. The barista was kind, empathetic, friendly--really appreciated the humanness of my time in the roastery. I am sorry but where do they expect people to park? I tried going this morning and there is no designated parking area. It is a residential area and there is no street parking available.
