I lost my only key to my car and was told by Toyota that I would have to tow my car to them and then pay for a new key but I did not believe that was my only option so I called The Lock Butler and asked if my problem could be solved. I mentioned it was my first time using a locksmith and wasn't aware of the pricing and such but I was told their prices are fixed and they don't try to sneak in additional costs like other locksmiths and I asked if I needed an appointment and Mendel told me he could be at my apartment in 20 minutes. Within 10 minutes, Mendel made a new key and programmed my entire car AND fixed my lights and sound when I unlock/lock my doors WHICH Toyota said they only can do with their computers and it would cost me more money. I would give 10 stars if possible but no one should ever use another locksmith besides The Lock Butler. read more

RIP OFF ALERT If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would. Worse customer service experience I've ever encountered. They do not refund $100 fee as they promise and the owner even said he would return my money due to the miscommunication. He then dodge all my calls and once he finally answered he said he didn't know who I was. No services were done with on my vehicle so I basically paid $100 for services I didn't receive. I have proof of this rip off and it has been reported to higher authority thanks a lot for not returning my $100 that will eventually cost you a lot more in business and other fees. read more

I am a Property Manager in the valley I used the Lock Butler as a last minute eviction. What a MISTAKE!! The first location was just a rekey of the property there was a front door and a security door. While working on this door Mendel tells me that the company he works for rips people off. I should call him directly and not go through the company. Seems like he is understanding and fair that he looking out for you and your best interest. That job went relatively smooth. Then we moved to the second door located in the same building. It goes down hill from here. He cannot get the security door unlocked at first and after several attempts he finally accomplishes this task. Then the front door and it gets worse. We have now been at the location now for well over an hour. He has tried to get the door open repeatedly Again reassuring me that he is better than most locksmiths and he never has to drill out a lock. That when a locksmith engages in this practice its because they are not well trained or just incompetent. After another half hour he ends up drilling out the lock. Then he goes back to his van and sits there for about another 20 minutes. So this rekey and new lock end up taking about three hours total. Which is bad enough. But then he hands me a bill for $760.00 dollars. I have been in this industry for years. I have been at emergency lock outs and calls in the middle of the night. I have never received a bill this high. We just rekeyed and entire property with 11 locks and three security doors and it was $500.00. So I would tell anyone who needs a locksmith DO NOT call this company. They hire private contractors who may or may not know their business. read more

Untimely, untrustworthy, not competent. Told me they'd be there between 3:30 and 4:30. At 3:30 they said they were on their way. At 4:30 they said they were 15 minutes away. Arrived after 5. Car needed an ignition lock cylinder - they tried to get me to buy two new keys for $240. I didn't need new keys , I had a defective cylinder. They claimed they couldn't find one. I found one at the first place I called. read more

Lifesavers . My key fell apart. The top housing of the key shattered and was lost . The dealership wanted 550$ for keys and programming/ labor. I tried home depot wasted time and money on a copy key but it had a hidden Chip within the key. I thought it was hopeless until I saw all the things locksmiths are able to do and come to you! It was amazing they came out to us in about 2 hrs on a Saturday. Moor was his name . He explained everything throughly , He copied the key , reprogrammed and got my car running again. So relieving! it was 300 and they take cards with square. It took about 30 more minutes and my car was back to normal. I can't appreciate this service enough so quick and made me feel so much better with three brand new keys ! read more
