Seafood is amazing here! Everyone makes different version of lobster roll. This one is served cold and was ok. The fried seafood platter from what I tasted was perfectly seasoned. It was the first time having... Baby geoduck!! It is not clams! I thought it was. Haha! Good thing for my friend teaching me how to eat it. Or it be a bite of unwanted sand. Location is near the pier.

Came here with the whole family (3 kids ages 7, 10, 12 + my mom) after a morning whale watch. There was something for everyone which was great since my husband doesn't prefer seafood but many of us do. We were lucky enough to be sat at a window seat near the back with a view of the harbor. Our table had the swordfish, bacon cheeseburger, lobster BLT, kids Mac & cheese, kids burger and kids pasta. Everything was well portioned and looked great. I had the lobster BLT and it was full of lobster, tasted great and would get again. We did spy a fish sandwich and it was huge! The piece of fish was almost comical on the bun, but the man who ordered it just smiled and cut it down to a more manageable size before eating it like a sandwich.

Nice restaurant with excellent service and good food. We sat in the pub on a busy Saturday. I had lobster Mac and Chee which was very tasty, but I wish it had more lobster . The clam bellies as an appetizer were excellent. My only complaint is that the coconut shrimp appetizer was not what I'm used to. It wasn't a finger food...it came out like a baked scrod. Not bad though. Good views to boot!

What a great addition to Gloucester! We love that Lobster of Gloucester benefits the local fisherman community. There is a lot of seating inside, the wait staff is very friendly, and the food can't be beat. The prices here are just amazing - if I remember correctly, $20 for lobsters (totally fresh) which I don't think you can get anywhere else. They also have some fun merch - I got my husband a rash guard in the front of the store. When family from out of town has come to Gloucester to visit us, we will frequently take them to this restaurant. We also got our neighbors a gift card as a thank you to this place. Worth visiting if you're in the area for some fresh catch. Easy parking too.

Absolutely delicious! The lobster rolls are worth their price and large enough to share with another if you decide to get an appetizer or soup. That's how big and filling they are! Service was amazing. We loved our waiter.

Visited the Lobster of Gloucester restaurant last night. There were four of us. My cousin and his girlfriend (who had been before) and my spouse and I (first timers). Loved the decor and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Drinks: a Pain Killer, an Old Fashioned and a Cocoaberry Mohito. They went down easily and another round was ordered and enjoyed. Dinner: My cousin ordered the surf and turf (1st picture), his girlfriend had the Tomatillo Chimichurri Ribeye Steak (2nd picture) and my spouse and I split the Fisherman's Platter (3rd picture). The steaks were 'delicious' and cooked to order perfectly. My wife and i thought we would be able to polish off the Lobstermen's Platter but we were mistaken. There was just too much lightly battered and perfectly fried seafood on that platter. There was (all fried) lobster, scallops, shrimp, calamari, clams and haddock (served on a bed of French fries). We gave it our best shot but came up short (4th picture). I would definitely go back to this restaurant and I'd recommend them to anyone that loves good, quality, fresh seafood.

Very much worth the stop! Food melted in my mouth. Service was stellar.View was spectacular and the ambiance was relaxed. Along the Essex Coastal Byway drive.

Eat it all gone. Yum.

Spacious indoor seating, very friendly server, great food at reasonable prices. A bit on the loud side, but not so bad that it interfered with conversation over a large table for six.

First time in and it was great! I started with the clam chowder and finished with the Lobsterman's Platter... had to bring 1/2 of it home with me! The fish was very fresh and fried perfectly! On the platter was haddock, shrimp, scallops, clams, calamari and a lobster tail. It was all fantastic but the calamari might have been the most tender I've ever had... so good! My friend had the chicken tenders tossed in Boom Boom sauce. I tried a bite and they were great too. Will definitely be back

The pastas came in some of the largest portions that I've ever seen from a restaurant. There were very generous portions of seafood in both of the pasta dishes that we order and I would definitely recommend the seafood marinara and the lobster mac&cheese to anyone who goes.
