Super roast beef with the sauce and provolone. The sauce is James river and it's got a little bite. Very good. .

Once again. Nailed it. Pizza. Roast beef. Absolutely amazing. Fresh meats. Crispy pizza.

Pictures don't do justice on this street smart eggplant pizza washed with their "special sauce". Absolute A++

Oh Em Gee. We were enjoying a stroll in Gloucester after a boat ride and in search of something quick and really didn't expect much from the bland, dusty-looking diner building, but don't let the looks fool ya. (If it's looks that you're after, go a few blocks down to more hip restaurants in Gloucester main street). Menu has a admirable selection of your pizza/diner fares, and one caught my eye: "Melenzane - breaded eggplant, caramelized onions, ricotta, mozza and our special sweet pizza sauce". The result? The BEST melenzane pizza I've ever tried. The eggplant's cooking, the onions, the sauce, they're all competing for your attention in a delightful combo of flavors. I'm not kidding, the pictures don't do it justice. The next time we pass by the Manchester/Gloucester/Rockport area, this is a definite revisit! We ate out due to pandemic in a concrete round table right by of the side door, sipping Fanta grape and overlooking a giant lobster mural. What else can you ask for?

Out of coffee, chicken salad, tuna salad. Men's room very dirty. Building in a state of decay possibly beyond repair. Avoid.

Not too much to say. If you're looking for a decent meal to takeout at reasonable prices, King's does the job. Basic food prepared well.

Merry Christmas but not at Kings Famous Roast Beef by a long shot. Terrible experience. Not worthy of the 1 Star I had to give it.

I always use Yelp to see what is around and this looked like a good option. So glad we stopped! My husband had the swordfish. He said the best swordfish he had the whole trip!!! Nice large piece of fish and he said it had little too much blacking seasoning but he was it was amazing. I could not decide what I wanted because it all looked so good. It was lunch and I really wanted the Risotto. But, I didn't want anything super heavy. Glad I chose it anyway. Holy smokes was it delicious. The risotto was perfectly cooked and not too buttery. I have found Maine loooves their butter & often drown their dishes. This was perfect. The fish was amazing and I definitely over ate!! Thinking back, this was one of my most favorite meals in all of Maine. I still dream of that Risotto.

We arrived just before noon, and by 12:30 they were packed, and after sampling the fresh seafood, we could see why. My wife and I both had New England Clam Chowder - rich, thick, smooth, briny, hints of bacon, and large pieces of fresh clams. She had Thai coconut shrimp for her main, and I had their 2-lb. Steamer bowl. Both could not be fresher. Our server was friendly and thorough, but somewhat over-burdened, which resulted in a delay paying our bill...but thats the only ding I could give The Lobster. Next time we're in Gloucester catching a whale watch, we will definitely be back.

Harbor Views, Fresh Seafood & Coastal Charm at Blue Collar Lobster Co.!…read more Few dining experiences capture the spirit of Gloucester quite like Blue Collar Lobster Co. This charming waterfront seafood spot earned an easy five stars from us and was the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal before heading to a concert at The Cut. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the setting. Located right on Gloucester Harbor next to the iconic Gloucester House Restaurant, this cozy nautical eatery offers everything you hope to find on the Massachusetts coast: refreshing sea breezes, colorful lobster boats bobbing in the harbor, seagulls soaring overhead, and spectacular waterfront views in every direction. Inside, the atmosphere is delightfully authentic. Hundreds of colorful fishing buoys hanging from the ceiling create a fun maritime feel that immediately reminds you that you're in one of New England's most historic fishing communities. Before long, the four of us were happily sampling some of the restaurant's fresh seafood favorites. We enjoyed creamy clam chowder, briny oysters on the half shell, succulent shrimp cocktail, and delicious Bang Bang shrimp, all accompanied by cold drinks and unbeatable harbor views. Every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. The ordering process is simple and convenient. Check out the menu, place your order at the window, grab a tray, and find a seat. If possible, choose a table in the screened porch overlooking the water. There's something magical about enjoying seafood while watching fishing boats come and go from the harbor just a few feet away. Blue Collar Lobster Co. offers an impressive menu featuring fresh lobster, handheld sandwiches, fried seafood platters, soups, and appetizers at reasonable prices. The combination of delicious food, friendly atmosphere, stunning scenery, and excellent value makes this a destination we'll gladly return to again and again. If you're visiting Gloucester and want an authentic waterfront seafood experience, don't miss this hidden gem on the harbor- on the Seven Seas Wharf! Highly recommended!

But it's been a while since I've been this disappointed in a restaurant. I'm not talking about the parking (it's small) or the decor of the place or even the service. I'm strictly talking about the food. The good thing about the food was that it was hot, and I mean so hot that I was afraid it was going to melt the take-out containers they packed it in. Also, the serving sizes are large, and in the case of the Seafood Marinara pasta dish, they give you two full large plastic containers for a single order. The fish chowder and clam chowder were definitely full of seafood, but they were underseasoned. I guess if you were to eat them concurrently with really salty food, then they'd be perfect. But I ate them before the rest of the meal, and by themselves, the chowders' taste is a bit lacking. But the real shock was the pasta. I ordered the two most expensive pasta dishes on the menu: Seafood Marinara and Shrimp Scampi. The amount of seafood on the plates was admirable, but a lot of it tasted generic. And the pasta definitely tasted like it was pre-made. The killer was the lack of seasoning in both dishes. I can understand if one of the dishes was underseasoned because mistakes happen. But when both pasta dishes were as bland as these two dishes were, well, you have to worry about the standards. Just to be sure, I waited a few hours until the dishes had cooled down, and I tried them again. It's easier for me to taste the seasoning when the food temp is lower at around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Both pasta dishes were pretty much tasteless. I even had a friend of mine who has an excellent palate try everything, and she literally asked me if I specifically ordered the food to be cooked without seasoning. I wouldn't have been so surprised if I had gone into a place that had average reviews, but The Causeway has a great reputation. I guess if I go back, I'll have to try their fried seafood (e.g. the Peters Platter). But the problem is do I really want to go in there and spend about $30 per dish after my experience with their pasta dishes? I hate writing a negative review about a family restaurant, but inflation being what it is, people are going to be choosier about where to spend their money, and restaurants have to make sure that their food is on point to justify the high prices.
