Wicked awesome thin pizza crust
Lori F.

Today while day tripping to the Coast of Cape Ann we stopped in here for lunch, they are open but take away only because of COVID 19, it was a beautiful day we chose to get out for a drive and sat under a tree on the BLVD and enjoyed our lunch. Many pizza/sub options in this area but Poseidon had some good reviews and the menu sounded yummy. It was. We tried a cheese pizza, delightfully thin crust as it should be. Beer battered onion rings that I think are the BEST I've ever had during any of my travels. Seriously. My daughter had the chicken kabob grinder and was soooo happy with it along with the fries. Perfectly fried. We would def try something else from them while in the area. Once restaurants are back up & open they do have tables inside to sit and eat along with a good assortment of chips. The inside was clean that I was able to see and a perfect spot along the BLVD with beautiful Ocean views

Great pie. Sauce is good but crust is amazing. Place is a little dirty with limited seating. It's very hot in there with the pizza oven heat.

I'm sorry to give a two star review. I am. So we stopped here to get some pizza! On the plus side , they have slices. But there were a few negatives. My main one is that the place is so hot. I mean it was uncomfortable hot. I guess they don't have AC. It was kind of odd though to walk in and feel like you are in Arizona during the summer. Seriously..it did not make for comfortable dining. Then there is the parking situation which isn't good at all. We had alot of problems finding a place to park. Then there is the pizza. To put it bluntly..it wasn't real tasty. Both my dining companion and I felt the same way. He could not finish his. I did..and while this is far from the worst pizza I have had, it is also far from the best. It was just odd pizza..I cannot even begin to describe it. We did not get a topping and maybe it would have been better if we had. But we were quite let down. I love the decor in here and the name is so cool..but I doubt I would come back. Sorry.

No parking, no rest rooms, and nowhere to sit and eat, but I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the speed by which they made the sandwich. -- Italian Sandwich: A heavy beast of a sandwich with a lengthy ciabatta roll stuffed with sopressata, salami, capicola, hot capicola, mortadella with pistachios, asiago cheese, arugula, tomato, onion, seasoned oil, pickles, and hot peppers. --- All of the flavors came through and the meats seemed of very high-quality. The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! This had to weigh at least 3 pounds and could easily have fed two people, and for only slightly more than a McDonald's "value" meal. Normally, I would wait and try it again before reviewing, but the city of Lynn isn't easy for me to get to, so now it is and it's an easy 4. The only things holding them back from a 5 are the lack of parking, seating, and toilet.

A huge array of already assembled dishes and all the ingredients to make your own. When I asked a butcher at Hannaford if he ever stocked guanciale his answer was "what's that?". But here the response is "Sure, let me show you the selection". The prices are high, that's for sure. And a previous reviewer had a minor heart attack at the party sized lasagna now being 75 bucks. And she's right, I saw it with that price in the fridge, along with similarly priced eggplant parmigiana. Is that too much? I don't know, not having purchased it and tried it out. But I suspect the answer would be "yes, it's pricey but it's worth it". For those who buy premade stuff, that is. Personally I'd simply acquire all the needed ingredients from them and make it myself. The wine tasting on Thursdays is a great way to sample a variety of new-to-you wines along with bites of their cheeses. Fun way to sample and perhaps find a new favorite. And the fresh fish is fantastic. Rather than pics of the store's interior, I'm including pics of the products they sell in action. All dishes certified by Lovey as "Wow, that's delicious". And a bonus - free refills on the beverages!

I just met her, but I felt like I was coming home. I waited for my friend to arrive & a couple bar seats to open up, and there were about two dozen people who came in after me while the wait was predicted to be an hour since most had just been seated, so they left. I wish they waited because it did clear up after about 30-40 minutes, but it was hard to predict on a Thursday at 7:30pm during a random downpour. I would encourage anyone to try The Burn, and to wait if needed. It's updated nicely, a bit cozy yet spacious when you're seated. Jess, our bartender, is also very welcoming and hospitable. I ordered a Gold Rush: ghost tequila, cointreau, pineapple, jalapeño & lime; I recall telling my friend, "this is exactly how I wish all my drinks tasted." I ordered the meatballs appetizer, and they got the haddock sandwich. The fries were excellent, and the meatballs were great. My friend loved their sandwich, fresh local haddock of course. Jess helped me make my decision between 3 options and it was perfect for my tastes and appetite of the evening. gold rush 10/10 meatballs 10/10 The Burn has excellent food & service, an elevated casual vibe, and warm, welcoming service.
