Best tasting pasta you can buy fresh from Susan Flynn and Eric Hours, the proprietors. I am a…read morefoodie and my friend who is a gourmet cook introduced me to Four Star Fresh. It should be called Ten Star Fresh! They are a small outfit that sells their pasta at their manufacturing location in Biddeford, Maine. Just email them if you are anywhere within 30 minutes of Biddeford and see what time you can buy their pastas or be at the Kennebunk Farmers Market first thing Saturday mornings before they sell out. Email ahead if you need gluten free which is made on the same equipment as regular pasta. However, people with celiac disease have eaten it with no side effects so it just depends on how sensitive you are to wheat. Amazing quality and taste. The best gluten free pasta anywhere and I have tried them all. I live in the greater Boston area (two hour drive) and will definitely be a repeat customer. Worth the time and trouble to find this pasta for family members that have celiac disease and are gluten intolerant. Eric and Susan are super customer friendly and this is the first time I added a business to Yelp just so I could post a great review. Eric said to email him anytime I wanted lasagna noodles, etc... It's so rare to find accommodating businesses these days. They have a cute motto too: "Too small to fail." I think what makes their pasta so wonderful is they do it all themselves and take the time to personally make the pasta, roll it, and cut it. Visit their Facebook page. They offer classes on how to make pasta, etc...

A huge array of already assembled dishes and all the ingredients to make your own. When I asked a butcher at Hannaford if he ever stocked guanciale his answer was "what's that?". But here the response is "Sure, let me show you the selection". The prices are high, that's for sure. And a previous reviewer had a minor heart attack at the party sized lasagna now being 75 bucks. And she's right, I saw it with that price in the fridge, along with similarly priced eggplant parmigiana. Is that too much? I don't know, not having purchased it and tried it out. But I suspect the answer would be "yes, it's pricey but it's worth it". For those who buy premade stuff, that is. Personally I'd simply acquire all the needed ingredients from them and make it myself. The wine tasting on Thursdays is a great way to sample a variety of new-to-you wines along with bites of their cheeses. Fun way to sample and perhaps find a new favorite. And the fresh fish is fantastic. Rather than pics of the store's interior, I'm including pics of the products they sell in action. All dishes certified by Lovey as "Wow, that's delicious". And a bonus - free refills on the beverages!

No parking, no rest rooms, and nowhere to sit and eat, but I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the speed by which they made the sandwich. -- Italian Sandwich: A heavy beast of a sandwich with a lengthy ciabatta roll stuffed with sopressata, salami, capicola, hot capicola, mortadella with pistachios, asiago cheese, arugula, tomato, onion, seasoned oil, pickles, and hot peppers. --- All of the flavors came through and the meats seemed of very high-quality. The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! This had to weigh at least 3 pounds and could easily have fed two people, and for only slightly more than a McDonald's "value" meal. Normally, I would wait and try it again before reviewing, but the city of Lynn isn't easy for me to get to, so now it is and it's an easy 4. The only things holding them back from a 5 are the lack of parking, seating, and toilet.
