The back patio of The Parlor Bar is expansive and has lovely ocean views. This is a perfect place to grab a drink with a relaxed atmosphere and great views. There were a few items to order for snacking, and we were happy with the way the meat and cheese boards came out.

The menu changes daily, and it isn't until late that day that we found out what we would be eating that evening. One of the 4 chose the pork and other three chose lobster spaghetti. Though that is not what they called it. There was plenty of lobster. Mostly underneath, and plenty of cut tail, too which was nice. But for $55 I guess you can use an ingredient like that. It was in a light sauce, not oily at all which was great. A nice light yet almost bland taste to it. One the of the chose the pork loin which was very good. I had a bit. of course. I don't care for pork other than bacon but this was nice. The sear on it tasted so yummy yet not too salty. For apps we got half dozen Cadillac oysters which our friends raved about, and the sourdough with salted butter, which was yummy but wouldn't get that again. We skipped dessert to go to Holy Cow 5 mins away which we highly recommend. Size of portions was perfect. No leftovers but more than enough. Definitely a special place though.

I even saw someone unloading crates of fresh lobsters, which was fun to watch. The only downside is the walkway to the seating is VERY narrow. Service was quick and efficient. Clam Chowder: Thick, creamy base with lots of flavor. There were plenty of potatoes but not a ton of clams. Still, the creaminess paired really well with the lobster. Lobster: Exceptionally fresh with a slight natural sweetness. Dipping it in melted butter made it even better. I also appreciated that they pre-cracked it, which made it so much easier to eat. Lobster Roll: Loved the buttery bread it was served on. The mayo was light but flavorful, and the sides included coleslaw and potato chips.

Roy Moore Lobster is a very popular seafood spot in Bearskin Neck, Rockport!…read more It's finally lobsta season & I'm glad we got to stop by. The line is a little long but does move quick. They have tables in the back & to get there, you have to walk through this tiny alley way. Note: not many tables available. Be prepared to possibly share a table with others! Here's what we ordered from our visit: - boiled lobsters 1 1/4 lb (2)-- $18/ea - clam chowder (4)-- $7/ea - smoked salmon --$8 - hot lobster roll-- $32 - stuffed clam (2)--$3/ea - Coca Cola We decided to get the 1lb1/4 boiled lobsters. It was $18/each and we got two of them. Looking back, we probably should've just gotten the 3/$50 deal but it's okay. This comes with melted butter on the side. Lobsters were fresh & easy to eat. No complaints here. My favorite was the clam chowder! It had the perfect consistency, not runny & not too thick. It was also pretty flavorful! The only thing I would've liked to add is a little salt but other than that, very good. I'm a lover of New England Clam Chowder & this was exactly what I was looking for! Now, as for the smoked salmon, I would not order this again. I don't really know how to feel about this to be honest but it just was not my cup of tea. I like baked salmon, broiled salmon, and fried salmon, but I did not like this. Very dry & bland. I personally had the hot lobster roll, which was sautéed in butter. Not bad overall. It was not the best hot lobster roll I've had but it was serviceable. I didn't expect it to be so tiny haha. Seems like lobster rolls in general have shrunk. For the price & the size, it's not bad. I've had $50 lobster rolls that were the same size and less enjoyable, so I guess I can consider this one a win! I think next time, I will opt for a boiled lobster instead. Lastly, the stuffed clams were all right. They were okay; more stuffing than clams. The food also wasn't very hot, just warm cold. Overall, not a bad spot to hit up for some fresh seafood. Prices aren't too bad & the food is definitely fresh!

First negative - the tables were SO close together you could barely get between them - ok you're trying to fit as many as you can but the restaurant had at least 6 tables open why are you cramming us in between two parties. We asked to take a different table and they said no??? We go to order - get the chicken wings and clams, flavor was good on both but the texture on the chicken wing skin was literally gum - disgusting. The little necks were good but quite honestly about ten in the order - far too expensive for ten little necks. I ordered Cesar salad with grilled shrimp - the base was spinach??? If that's what you're going to serve with a Cesar tell me on the menu - I LOATHE raw Spinach. My niece and daughter had burgers definitely frozen patties no chance they were fresh - actually gross! My husband ordered the sea bass. It was undercooked - couldn't break it with a fork - stretchy nasty. Sent it back to be cooked more. Instead of giving him a new piece they cooked his already cut and torn apart piece of fish. Embarrassing! To boot my niece ordered a casamigos margarita - $30 are you actually kidding me?!?!!!?!! Would never never never recommend this place to anyone, can't even remotely understand the reviews. Huge disappointment

Want ketchup, cocktail sauce, plastic ware? Go get it. Now, if you're ready for some fried seafood. Get ready. The platters give you a little less of the fish you order and fill that space with a Mayo based Cole slaw and French fries. You can skip the sides and order a "box" which is really more like a paper boat. Small, medium & large. We went with 2 medium boxes of clams. One box strips and the other strips and bellies. I preferred the straight strips. Sweeter. Both perfectly fried, slightly chewy and a medium was a perfect serving. My wife, the disciplined health nut, went with a garden salad made special with some grilled shrimp. The salad was only average, but the large shrimp made it a decent meal. The fish & chips came loaded onto a plate with fish burying the fries. Again, perfectly done. I tried a cup of New England clam chowder (is there any other kind?) and scarfed it down before I could take a picture. Rich, but not too thick. And surprise, lots of chunks of clams. A little pepper and all was right with the world. BTW, it's BYOB. We sat on a bench facing the water and caught a beautiful sunset. Just a reality check, the Lobster Pool may be a bit divey, but the prices are still steep. 4 adults came to a little over $100 plus tip.
