Bang Bang shrimp
Michael R.

What a fun experience it was to enjoy igloo dining at this venue. We had been to this restaurant in 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic and ate in one of the igloos. I'm happy to report that the igloos available now are so much nicer, big, bright and clear and you can enjoy all of the beautiful water views. There is however a fee of $15pp for this experience. We dined with some friends and everybody enjoyed their cocktails and food. I started with the bang bang shrimp appetizer. What a bargain for $18! There were maybe 8-10 very large shrimp, and they were perfectly cooked. The fried haddock/chips was great, fish was crispy and delicious, but unfortunately the fries were not good and did not match the caliber of the food served. Limp, and probably were hanging around under a heat lamp :-( Overall, service was OK. Food arrived fairly staggered and one entree was very late. The runner confessed and said he dropped the plate and it had to be remade. It would have been nice if the server informed us. Despite the minor service hiccups (very young and likely inexperienced staff), the atmosphere and food are worth it. Give them a try!

French toast with syrup...tasty!

Sunday morning: beautiful sun and low 70's! What a place to have breakfast. This is ideal October in New England! I was sat in the tent area, which was only going to be set up for one more weekend so I was lucky! The pier/dock area also had tables where you could eat and enjoy the incredible view! I loved how there was a TV on for Sunday morning NFL previews and the vibe was welcoming! I ordered my favorite....french toast, bacon and home fries with a large white milk. I am not a coffee drinker so the milk has always been a staple for me. I was alone so it was pretty fast....park the car, walk in, get a table, order and eat. I kind of liked it but I was hoping my wife was with me as she would have loved eating on the pier. The food came quickly. All of it was awesome! Cooked perfectly! Portions were great and the milk was nice and cold! I loved the French toast the most. It was thick and prepared just the way I liked it! I plan to bring my family back sometime in November. It will be eating inside but that is ok! We will have to remember next Spring/Summer to take advantage of the pier/tent area! Price: seemed very cheap to me Vibe: awesome...on the water with the sun out Service: great...very attentive Parking: plenty of parking in front Would I come back? For sure!! Great way to start a Sunday morning!

So... a beautiful Sunday afternoon with a great view of the Gloucester inlet and Cape Ann Marina. Reservations are recommended but not required. Dress code is super casual. Asked for a table on the outside patio overlooking it all. Responsive hosts and friendly waitstaff. Great bar drinks and specialties. Start off with a cup of clam chowder or lobster bisque... thick and creamy. Large portions are fresh and shareable. If you're looking for a great view in Gloucester, this is the perfect spot. Bon Appetite!!

We were closeby at a museum and wanted to go somewhere nice for lunch. This restaurant has lovely waterfront views. We sat outside and it was so pleasant. The food was really tasty. I got the seasonal arugula berry salad and hubby got the grilled chicken salad. We also got a delicious food board as an app. Overall delicious and enjoyable lunch for us.

Went again to see Dave Bailin play outside. He really is great, took requests, always a good time. I got lobster roll with side salad. It was fine. Pricey of course. Good for a tourist, for me we get them at a special place in Beverly - Joe's on a Roll, check out my review! Hubby got a linguine pesto dish with seared scallops. It was very good. Very good. Pasta was definitely fresh, not cooked from dry. Pesto sauce was a little creamy and tasty. Scallops done perfectly and a generous amount given. Large serving. Service was good. At one point someone new came over to ask if we had ordered yet and we had. So perhaps a bit disorganized. Some of the busboys did look quite young. They were still very professional and capable. Also, there was a young alight woman (probably high school) who dropped a tray full of food, and a more senior woman, obviously quite experienced, came right over to help in such a really nice, mentoring way. The young woman returned with another tray and wasn't flustered at all. Was really nice to see this. We were sitting right by kitchen door. So again I say the food is very good, it's just pricey which we don't mind if we get to listen to Dave singing.

SEAFOOD-STUFFED PINEAPPLE

My husband and I went around 5:00 on 7/2/26 and had no problem getting a table right away. My husband ordered a cold lobster roll and the fish tacos. He thought both were delicious. There was a good amount of lobster. The fish tacos had a little kick to them. I got the seafood stuffed pineapple and I honestly think it's the best meal I have ever had in my life! I love the curry coconut cream. It didn't have a strong curry flavor to it, it was the perfect blend of coconut and pineapple. There was a lot of seafood inside and the rice was delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could have it again. I need to learn how to recreate it!

Terribly disappointing food experience. The staff and ambiance was lovely, and it was a great view of the harbor, but the food and drinks I tried left much to be desired. I tried three different cocktails from my party that were made way too strong, and one coconut mocktail that was quite refreshing. For food, the highlight was the pita and dips appetizer. The Calamari and Stuffed Seafood Pineapple were greatly lacking in flavor, though the ingredients tasted fresh and well cooked. Pros: - well cooked seafood - gluten free options - good view - friendly and attentive staff Cons: - overpowering cocktails - incredibly cold inside - flavorless food, table salt could only do so much.. - pricy considering quality

Lobster grilled cheese

Had a great experience here on the outdoor deck. I like to come here at least once every summer and the beautiful early october weather was the perfect time to visit! Overlooking the marina, it's a beautiful location. We started with scallops Rockefeller which was very good, the scallops were a little overcooked making them rubbery but the flavor was good. Hidden jewel is the mashed potatoes under the shell that keeps it in place! For dinner I had the lobster grilled cheese which had a good amount of lobster and was buttery, cheesy and delicious. A bit pricey at $39 but very good. My date had fish and chips, a generous fresh portion. The fries with each meal are thin, hand cut and delicious. Cocktails were also great. Service was good - not too pushy but checked in often enough for cocktails, etc. Could not possibly eat dessert!

Be sure to read carefully before ordering, and if you love what you read you will LOVE this item

Good quality, hearty, and fresh. Being on the water is a plus. The SeaCuterie board was definitely interesting and like nothing I have seen before.

I just met her, but I felt like I was coming home. I waited for my friend to arrive & a couple bar seats to open up, and there were about two dozen people who came in after me while the wait was predicted to be an hour since most had just been seated, so they left. I wish they waited because it did clear up after about 30-40 minutes, but it was hard to predict on a Thursday at 7:30pm during a random downpour. I would encourage anyone to try The Burn, and to wait if needed. It's updated nicely, a bit cozy yet spacious when you're seated. Jess, our bartender, is also very welcoming and hospitable. I ordered a Gold Rush: ghost tequila, cointreau, pineapple, jalapeño & lime; I recall telling my friend, "this is exactly how I wish all my drinks tasted." I ordered the meatballs appetizer, and they got the haddock sandwich. The fries were excellent, and the meatballs were great. My friend loved their sandwich, fresh local haddock of course. Jess helped me make my decision between 3 options and it was perfect for my tastes and appetite of the evening. gold rush 10/10 meatballs 10/10 The Burn has excellent food & service, an elevated casual vibe, and warm, welcoming service. Ambiance 7/10 Food 7/10…read moreStaff 10/10 I got married in Gloucester a couple months ago, and we hosted our welcome party at Minglewood Harborside. As far as events, I would give HIGHLY recommend hosting here. The cost for the area was unbeatable, and the food and service was excellent. Let me break it down. We visited beforehand to try the food to make sure it was good to serve to our guests. We tried the bang bang shrimp, chicken tenders and calamari which were some of our potential options. The bang bang shrimp and the chicken tenders were absolutely delicious, but the calamari had absolutely no flavor. We were glad we tried it beforehand so we could make an informed menu decision. We reached out to begin booking about a year or so in advance. I will say, there were times throughout the planning process where my communications and emails went unanswered and I would have to send follow-ups to nudge for a reply. Other than that, our party went fantastically. We had about 120 people which was definitely maximum capacity. Its not the most visually pleasing room or lighting, but it did the job for what we needed. It got very hot in the room but we were able to open the windows which helped. The food was excellent and we could easily order more throughout the night if we needed it. We had cocktail shrimp as one of our items and the shrimp were enormous. We also had salads, charcuterie, bang bang shrimp, sliders, tenders, and more. The drinks were great and the bartenders and staff were so nice. Our party ended at 9 and most people left but we stayed until 10 with some of our friends to drink and dance and they didn't seem to mind at all. Overall it was a wonderful experience and the perfect start to our wedding weekend.

Nice large piece of fish and he said it had little too much blacking seasoning but he was it was amazing. I could not decide what I wanted because it all looked so good. It was lunch and I really wanted the Risotto. But, I didn't want anything super heavy. Glad I chose it anyway. Holy smokes was it delicious. The risotto was perfectly cooked and not too buttery. I have found Maine loooves their butter & often drown their dishes. This was perfect. The fish was amazing and I definitely over ate!!
