We had the following: 1) Reservation for seating outside; worked well we saw the late summer light dim from yellow to pink to purple with all the little boats bobbing in the bay. 2) We ordered all three fish on their dinner menu: - salmon, delicious - swordfish, delectable - crispy haddock, meh (its not a great fish so it needs a lot more flavorful cooking and finesse) 3) the octopus and the mussels, both amazing 4) the tiramisu, v good 5) the service was great as well! Absolutely amazing from start to finish! The service was exceptional, and every member of the staff made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. The mussels were unbelievable, the calamari was out of this world, and the grilled oysters were absolutely spectacular. The salmon was cooked to perfection, and the lobster ravioli was rich, fresh, and full of flavor. One of the best-kept secrets is that while the lobster roll and hamburgers aren't listed on the menu, they're happy to make them if you ask, and they're definitely worth ordering! Havent been here in a few years. Used to come here more, but now I'm the south shore, its too far. The restaurant is right on the water, lots of locals and cute. The food is solid, but I dont think its as good as I remember it. Our waiter was great. We started with raw oysters which were on the tiny side, but good. Great lunch with a view! We all ordered the Fish & Chips. Very fresh Haddock lightly battered and not too greasy. Paired with a tasty tartar sauce. Nice selection tion of beers and cocktails. Beautiful water front dining with both indoor and outdoor seating, a huge bar and beautiful views. We took advantage of the warm weather and sat outside. Ordered the crab cake sandwich, lobster roll, chowder, salmon and loved it all. Fabulous cocktail menu rounded it all out. We were very much looking forward to a late lunch of fish and chips when we stopped by today and were seated at 3:55PM. Fish and chips were a lunch item only, lunch was over at 4 PM. We pleaded for f&s our splurged meal out while in town; at her request, we gave her a back up order in case the Chef said no (think she knew the outcome already). A disappointing overpriced Caesar salad with shrimp is what we ended up having on this slow Monday afternoon service. The hostess could have warned us lunch was over and we would have left without sitting down and being disappointed. Overpriced, service (primarily, but not entirely driven by the chef) subpar. We were here for an early lunch two Sundays ago. It had been a few years since my last visit which I recalled as having been lovely. When we arrived the combo Sunday brunch and lunch menu was in effect. Since we had been up since the crack of dawn with breakfast long behind us, neither of us was in the mood for brunch/breakfast type food. That said, as many do during brunch we did start with a Bloody Mary each. ;-) They were spicy and quite tasty. Good job on those. I ordered the fish and chips which seems to be my go-to these days. I was not disappointed. The fish was not overcooked which seems to be a problem for some places when they fry fish. The coating was done in what seemed to be a tempura style and so the crust was wonderfully light and not at all greasy. It did not cling to the fish which I like. Delicious, not oily at all and perfectly cooked white fish. The fries were just okay. Tom ordered the burger which came with a gorgeous looking shiny, dark crusted bun and loaded with lettuce, tomatoes and relish and a nicely sized burger. He said it was delicious. It was so hefty it needed to be properly managed by cutting it in half and even then it was a mouthful. We sat on the porch which in warm weather is open sided but now has large clear plastic sheets covering the window area. It had a lovely greenhouse effect and felt cozy. We had a beautiful view of the harbor. I think this would be my preferred space to eat. next visit. Tasty food, nice ambience, helpful and attentive waiter. They had great options for brunch but none of the food really wowed us. The eggs Benedict was cold by the time it reached us, the burger wasn't super flavorful, and the salads both were just ok. Neither dressing was particularly good. The best thing was the salmon piece on the Ceaser salad. Especially since the rest of the salad was really small and seemed to be 3 uncut pieces of lettuce. None the less, this is a beautiful location. This is a busy spot even though it is tucked away in a difficult area. There were about 6 other families with kids and it's nice that they made accommodations for families, but they also have a strict no stroller policy. Just something to be mindful of. read more

Interesting dishes... the pasta and steak dishes are typically great in addition to the expected fish and chips and haddock dishes, very friendly staff, and they seem to have good teamwork and camaraderie. If possible, make a reservation, especially during the summer months and over the weekend. Parking can be difficult in town, so give yourself extra time! read more

The martini was not dirty, even after extra brine delivered it was a boring martini with one Spanish olive (dumped) at the bottom with no toothpick to pick it up if you would like to eat it. Grilled oysters had no taste really and way too overpriced for 5 tiny oysters. Tuna was not appetizing looking and again really no flavor. The chips that came with the tuna were great. Clam chowder tasty. Shrimp and pasta dish (forgot the name but was recommended by the waiter) was oily mostly pasta and the shrimp were med size served with tails on. If I'm being honest because the tails were a pain to dig out and take off it took away from the overall dish. Decidedly mediocre food, small portions, and too expensive.... (2 people, $160 with the 20% tip). And our reservation came with a time-limit. But to make matters worse, when we asked for 2 or 3 additional, small toast pieces to go with an expensive, small, Ricotta cheese appetizer and were told we would have to pay extra for it !!!!!! ???????? What ???????? For the sake of the server we didn't make a scene, and declined their cheapskate offer, but it made the entire experience unpleasant for my wife and I, affecting our night out, and put the unfortunate server in an embarrassing position. We were a group of 4 that walked in on a Friday evening. We were greeted right away and welcomed in by two hostess. Upon sitting our waitress was an older lady in her 50's who was the star of the night. She had great energy all night long and was pure entertainment. The manager made his rounds and was friendly saw us squinting from the sun, and addressed the blinds and later opened them back up for the views. Drinks were cold and spot on, along with refills on drinks and water. Calamari and breaded green beans were the appetizers to start and they did not disappoint they were amazing. The meals were ordered were two crispy haddock's (large portion) and great flavor, salmon which was really great, and the pasta dish and garlic bread with it was amazing. Went to the Landing for Easter with my girlfriend's family, food was really good and our server was awesome. But kinda hard to enjoy seeing another table nearby giving their server a rough time. At one point it even sounded like they straight up insulted her, which was pretty uncomfortable to hear. She kept trying to apoligize and stay polite but they weren't having it, and then she just disappeared. Later the manager came over and was being super friendly with that same table, even offering them stuff on the house. I get trying to keep everyone happy but watching that happen kinda threw us off. Mixed emotions on this place. The food was very good, and eventually the service was good, but we waited 10 minutes at our table and had to get up and ask the hostesses (yes, there were two) TWICE to corral a server to take our order. Once there, the waiter seemed very very annoyed. "What is wrong with you people? You get seated in a restaurant and expect same-day service?" Bees humming around the table were bothersome, and the appetizer bread arrived with the entrees. This debacle falls on management. I will be interested to see if they respond to this review.
