i have been eye-ing fleur cuisine for a long time, and finally made my way to rockport to check out the hype. caribbean is an accurate description because you can taste influences from different islands. andrea was our server and she was great! the fried plantains were delicious, they were sweet plantains with pico de gallo and pikliz. as a SUPER fan of haitian food, pikliz is the one ingredient that always intimidates me, but i found myself wishing they put a bit more on! the chicken wings fell right off the bone like everyone else said, stunning! only, it was missing the lime which i'm sure would had added a bit more of a kick. still delicious but i would have loved it extra with lime. i ordered hannah's vegetarian pasta & added shrimp, per andrea's recommendation, and had absolutely no regrets. the pasta is great, i only wish there was a couple more shrimp it was SO good! my friend loved their tropical blackened salmon special as well, salmon was fresh and cooked perfectly with tropical salsa on top. each dish has so much flavor that balances everything together. for "dessert," i had to try their kremas and let me tell you, this is a definite 10, highly recommend. i love kremas, and theirs is perfection. fried plaintains 9.6/10 chicken wings 9.8/10 hannah's vegetarian pasta + shrimp 9.6/10 blackened salmon special 10/10 kremas 10/10 fleur cuisine is exactly what the north shore needs more of. i am ecstatic it is as good as everyone claimed it to be, so if you're anywhere near rockport (or even far, i drove an hour), you don't want to miss it. flavor bomb x1000. ambiance: 5/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 fleur cuisine: 5/5 they sell bottles of kremas around christmas time! read more

I stopped by Fleur for a quick bite to eat and decided to sit by the bar. I was surprised the air wasn't on since it was a hot day. I ordered the tuna tartare with a side of their rice. I didn't realize their rice had parsley in it since it wasn't listed on the menu. A bit disappointing since I'm not a fan of parsley, so I couldn't really enjoy the rice since that was all I tasted. The tuna tartare was average. When the bill came, the tuna tartare was charged as $27 and not $25 as listed on their menus. The manager told me there must've been a price change and that was it. It was a bit disappointing since it felt like false advertising, I would've preferred a transparent heads up as I was ordering my meal. I had the lobster ravioli. It was amazing. I can't overstate how good it was. It was how lobster ravioli should be, which no restaurant ever seems to get right. There was nothing added in the ravioli except clean lobster. The sauce was a white vodka sauce which was delicious. Everything we had was excellent. Drinks were expensive, but the food was underpriced for how good it was. The portion is a bit small, but adequate. The experience was well worth it. read more

We hosted my mother in laws 80th birthday here back in July and we were so happy with our choice. Great location in downtown rockport. Even more than this though was the staff and owner who made us feel right at home. You could tell that they really wanted this to be special for us and they went totally out of their way. This compares to other places who we called who did not want to accommodate the size of our group. The food was excellent and we ordered a variety of dishes. Honestly went in with such high hopes based on reviews. We went my husband niece and daughter for late lunch. First negative - the tables were SO close together you could barely get between them - ok you're trying to fit as many as you can but the restaurant had at least 6 tables open why are you cramming us in between two parties. We asked to take a different table and they said no??? We go to order - get the chicken wings and clams, flavor was good on both but the texture on the chicken wing skin was literally gum - disgusting. The little necks were good but quite honestly about ten in the order - far too expensive for ten little necks. I ordered Cesar salad with grilled shrimp - the base was spinach??? If that's what you're going to serve with a Cesar tell me on the menu - I LOATHE raw Spinach. My niece and daughter had burgers definitely frozen patties no chance they were fresh - actually gross! My husband ordered the sea bass. It was undercooked - couldn't break it with a fork - stretchy nasty. Sent it back to be cooked more. Instead of giving him a new piece they cooked his already cut and torn apart piece of fish. Embarrassing! To boot my niece ordered a casamigos margarita - $30 are you actually kidding me?!?!!!?!! Good, but the real star were the duck wings- I don't know why duck wings aren't a thing everywhere! So flavorful- meat was fall off the bones tender, and the sauce was to die for- shout out to Joseph, our waiter for this recommendation. Stopped in here by chance and I am nothing but impressed! The food was delicious, as well as large portions. We sat outside with the heat lamps and you would not even know it was autumn. Amazing atmosphere and drinks here!! Love the flavors and combinations! Rich Carribean and Haitian flair and pops of richly spiced flavors within each plate. Unfortunately we were enjoying our girls weekend away too much and I didn't get a picture of the cocktail menu and I couldn't find one online. All of the drinks were fantastic but the pink martini one was superb!! Sweet, slightly tart tang, light and refreshing. Our friend ordered that one and after we finished round one we all enjoyed one of those! The yellow one was my drink-powerful and the alcohol in it definitely stood out. The blue one had subtle candy sweetness to it. All were delicious in their own way. Service was quick, friendly, but of course we didn't get our fabulous server's name!! However, being a people watcher I could see all the staff here are smiling, laughing and interacting with customers. We just got back from a couple of days in Rockport, MA, and unfortunately the first place we stopped on our visit was this restaurant. It was in the middle of the afternoon and they seemed to have plenty of tables open. At the host stand, we asked for a table for two, and as we followed the server into the restaurant, we noticed that they had a back patio and outdoor seating. There were only a couple of tables being used, so we asked if we could sit outside and we were told that it wasn't possible to seat us out there. (During the next hour we were there, they seated one couple out there, while the rest of the tables remained empty). The server began to seat us at a table for two inside, and a woman who seemed like a manager, stopped her (and blocked us from sitting down) and proceeded to spend the next minutes reprimanding the server and looking at us like we'd done something wrong. Finally, she moved away, obviously annoyed and told us that "it was fine." After we sat, we ordered drinks from our server and those arrived without much trouble, but she didn't take our food order. We were about halfway through our drinks when the manager came over and asked if anyone had taken our order. When we said no, she exasperatedly said that she would just put it in. We ordered a salad and an order of fries to share. When the salad arrived, they had split it between two plates, which we thought was a nice touch. Our server came over and asked us if we needed anything else and we said that we were waiting for fries. She looked confused and asked who took our order. We told her the manager and she ran back into the kitchen, most likely to find her and put the order in. Ten minutes later, she brought the fries out and started to take my salad plate away, and I had to stop her because I was still eating it. (We had finished our drinks by this point and no one asked us if we wanted another.) Instead, she just dropped our check, and when we looked at the bill, we realized that they charged us an extra $10 for splitting the salad, (which we had not asked them to do and were not told that was a policy.). We brought it to the attention of our server, who snatched up the bill and left for another ten minutes. When she came back, she dropped the bill again saying that she had to find someone to change it and left without another word. We are not the type to leave without tipping, even though it was the worst service we have received in a restaurant in a long time. We also understood that when you have bad management, everyone suffers, so we did leave the server a tip, but we will NEVER eat here again and will NEVER recommend it to anyone visiting Rockport. read more

We visited this wonderful place twice in one week. The week of our 38th anniversary. The food was exceptional. I had the NY strip and then the sirloin meal. Both were cooked to perfection. My husband had the lobster roll and then the salmon. He was very pleased with both of his meals. The Tropical Bliss drink is delicious. Another wonderful experience at Fleur Cuisine! We stopped in earlier in the day to make a reservation for 2 for later that evening. It was simple and efficient. When we arrived later that evening, we were early and decided to have drinks at the bar. Alyssa made us amazing cocktails...I had a deliciously strong yet sweet old fashion and my boyfriend had the Tiki...a tropical drink you'd expect from any seaside resort in the Caribbean. When we checked in for our reservation, we got our table right away. Our server Charissa was friendly and attentive. Since we are both plant based, we opted for their fried plantains, which were accompanied by their spicy pickled cabbage slaw (I could eat a plate of that alone!) and then each had the black bean burger, which came with vegan cheese. As part of a getaway in Rockport MA, my partner and I returned to Fleur Cusine (a perpetual favorite) for dinner during the fall leaf-peeping and art colony visiting season. Once again, Fleur Cuisine, now celebrating 2 years of dining excellence, was a delight. Our reservation was at 7:00 PM on one of the busiest days for tourism and shopping. The food was excellent again. As appetizers, we shared the coconut shrimp and the mussels. Both were great, and if you choose the mussels, be sure to use the spoon to enjoy every drop of the liquid. For our main course, we learned that both the steak entrees and the lobster had been sold out (a great sign that Daphne and her husband, the chef, never serve frozen ingredients and insist on fresh and local). So we chose the Backyard Steak Salad, with more than generous (8oz) sirloin steak with mini onion rings and a variety of lettuce, tomatoes, and vegetables in a light and delicious dressing. This will become a new favorite, since my partner could not eat all the steak, which was prepared perfectly to order (hers was exactly rare, mine medium rare). We also enjoyed the Truffle Fries. For dessert, we shared the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, served with ice cream and a sauce made in heaven. with our meal, we had a bottle of THE PESSIMIST, a red blend with the motto, "A pessimist is never disappointed.) We agreed, and we were not. The most remarkable part of the evening, apart from the consistently amazing food, was the SERVICE. Our server, Cam, was attentive and helpful, especially when he had to tell us that some of our choices were not available. He paced the timing of the meal to give us a leisurely and relaxing experience, and his recommendations were spot-on. We also listened in when another server, Joseph, was very welcoming to a couple from the United Kingdom who needed tips on tourism in this area and who customized some desserts to please the children in the group. And Daphne came to every table to be sure that all clients were delighted with the food and service. What a great place. Walking in thru the bar, which looks very roomy with 2 TV's..we will come back to sit at the bar. We were seated right away and Joseph was our waiter. Small restaurant on the wharf, plenty of parking that evening to our surprise. The food was excellent. We had sea bass, lobster roll, salmon, a vegan burger, the vegan ravioli and dessert too! One of the supervisors even came to the table to ask if one of our guests would like to add vegan cheese to their sandwiches and it was greatly appreciated!
