Great neighborhood laundromat! I was looking for somewhere close by with an XL capacity washer to wash my machine washable rug, and Coinless Laundry popped up in my search. I messaged the business asking if they had XL capacity machines available, and they responded within less than a day answering my question. When I arrived, the gentleman behind the desk quickly answered all of my questions about how the card deposit and machines worked. He was super nice. Great customer service. Reasonable prices to wash, and my load got done in 25 minutes. I will be using Coinless Laundry again for my other rugs. read more

Loved this for an emergency laundromat since we had flooding and needed to wash all the clothes in our closet because of it. We loved the nfc card system. The attendant Roy (or Ray can't remember) was very kind and saw us unloading and held the door open for us. The next attendant that day was not nice. I am docking a star however for one employees outspoken political views that made us feel unwelcome. It's 2023, you live in Austin which is a diverse city. If you can't be welcoming to people from all areas and backgrounds you should move somewhere that is or work in a field that is not customer facing. read more

Before I start my rant I know that we just came out of a unprecedented Texas winter storm.... The city of Austin has put water restrictions on water based businesses like car washes ect..... If they really cared about the customer they would've just stayed clsoed instead of wasting people's time. I have been here for 2 hours with my clothes in the washer, there is no water pressure which means that your clothes will spin in the washer until a good amount of water is in the system. No hot water... So instead of being upfront with customers when they walk into the door they allow you to put your clothes into the washer and then tell you, that it will take just a little bit for everything to get going, more like a hour or so just to wash your clothes. This is really a bad example of what business will do to get a dollar. Yes businesses need to be able to profit and provide for their family but when you do practices like this it clearly shows that your interest isn't in the customer. I think that every customer who had to endure this should be compensated for their time. I'm not looking for a hand out, this has just made me buy a washer and dryer. read more

Sadly I no longer recommend, here's why: -Poor customer service (unless it's Rene working, she's really nice and helpful!) -Offers on Yelp not effective in laundry mat (this was on two separate occasions) -Refunds not given easily -Owner difficult to contact on issues concerning their business (if contact is made, they stop responding.) -BLACK MOLD in washers, which is why I stopped using their services and wanted a refund. Hands-down, this was the best laundromat experience ever! I'm only in town for a short stay and don't have a lot of time to sit around at a laundromat. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the attendant Greg, and then he helped me get a card and start doing my laundry in just a couple minutes.I left to run errands, and when I came back, he had all my laundry folded, bagged and ready to go! This laundromat is in a hidden shopping plaza. The facilities from what I noticed were neat and clean. My only complaint is that the kiosk to purchase a laundry card is not in an easy to spot location. It's located at the very back of the business in a corner. The self-serve kiosk is very straightforward in terms of use. You touch the screen to select a preloaded amount, insert debit or credit card to pay, and then it's ready to use at any washing or drying machine! There's free WiFi for patrons to use while waiting on laundry, and the employees are nice :) read more

Winter storm Uri hit me and my fiancées apartment complex especially hard and it left us without water. Needless to say our morale was pretty low and so we're our expectations. Coinless laundry exceeded all our expectations in terms of cleanliness, cost and customer service. Renee is such a sweet and hard-working manager. She was helpful with all of our questions and helped us pass the time while our clothes were washed. She even held the door open for us when we left! Highly recommend! read more

Before today, I would have given this place 4 or 4.5 out of 5 stars. The place serves its purpose, our clothes get clean and we don't spend hours and hours doing laundry. The space is recently renovated and they have giant washers and dryers big enough for large things like pillows and comforters. However, after today, I have such a bad taste in my mouth that I'm going to start looking for a different laundromat. We live so close to this one so I'm pretty bummed out, but I just cant deal with the blatant disrespect my husband and I just recieved. Apparently, due to the turn over to new management, coinless laundry is no longer honoring the $20 for $25 yelp deal being advertised. My husband and I did not learn this until after purchasing the deal. When I went to load our laundry card, I showed the attendant the yelp deal and she said "I can't do nothing about it".. as in, no sorry but that's no good here. I would have been ok had she kindly explained that they just got a new owner so it's no longer valid. But she was so so rude, and proceeded to walk away from us. Quite literally, every time we tried to talk to her or ask a question, or pay for our laundry, she walked away or outside, cell phone in hand. The first time,she came back and said that she had just gotten off the phone with the manager and she said we can't use that deal. My husband asked to speak to her, but we got an eyeroll, another "can't do nothing about it" and "she's not in till tomorrow." I asked if she could call her back, since she was just on the phone with her. At this point, the business phone had rang a few times, presumably the manager trying to get ahold of the girl working. After about 10 minutes of this attendant walking away from us while we were trying to sort the issue out, she comes back and without saying a word or making eye contact with him or me, hands him the phone and walks back outside. My husband speaks to the manager, Ashley, calmly and after learning that we really can't use the yelp deal, he mentions that the attendant has walked away from us several times. Ashley asks to speak to her and my husband goes looking but she is nowhere to be found. My husband said he didn't know where she was, and then Ashley began to apologize to him and once my husband finally found the attendant and handed her the phone, she HUNG UP!!!! all in all, we didn't get to use our deal, we were disrespected, but we did get a 5$ credit because of the crappy behavior of the girl working. My home machines finally went down. Until I purchased my new set, we couldn't be wearing dirty clothes...Well, not past a day or two. I tried one place and it was crowed, smelled (smelled BAD) and a guy tried to steal my laundry. Yep, there are actually people who steal clothes. One load and I bailed. Then I checked out this place. Very cool. I was super surprised at the difference between my experiences. Rhonda, my/the attendant, explained everything to me...very easy system. Clean and working machines that are reasonably priced. AND no over flowing trash piles, no smells of old sodas or dirty diapers, no sticky floors or laundry criminals. Here's a review I never thought I'd write ..... I wake up on a Sunday morning feeling all cuddly and refreshed until I noticed I had a serious problem. Pewwww somewhere in my beddy by. Holy shit, what do we have here? My cat popped a kitty squat and peed on my effin bed. On my down comforter-ed bed. WITH ME IN IT. But much to my surprise you would never know thanks to CoinLESS Laundry. They have 4 different sizes of washers (3 of them different huge commercial sizes) with many variable settings on each - to include delicate down comforter setting. And as the name says, no coins required. There was an attendant available the whole time and she was very friendly and very helpful. You pay cash or credit card to her and then you are given a card to use in the machines. I will say it has been years since I have been to a laundromat (thanks kitty for reintroducing me), but this is by far the cleanest one with the most modern and up-to-date machines I have seen. And the dryers actually dry!!! P.S. They will refund you the $3 for the card when you turn it in as well as the remaining balance on your card, if any. read more

OK, so I just moved a couple weeks ago, and in the interim sorting out of stuff, I find myself sans washer and dryer for the first time since my freshman year of college. Now, it seems trucking my laundry 500 miles to my parents in the Panhandle isn't as practical as it once was. However, what's this right outside my complex? A laundromat advertising itself as coin LESS (get it?) Anyway, if most laundromats are a kick in the face, I'd say this one is just a slap in the face. They sell you (for $2) a reusable card you charge up with either bills or by credit card at the front desk. The washers and dryers are new, huge and work really well. As does their air conditioning. Also, fellow geeks, they provide wireless. And, you can log on to their website to view the availability of machines. Yeah. It's almost cooler than having your own machine. No, it's not. But it was an almost pleasant experience. read more

I am Benjamin Buttoning all aspects of my life - except for aging. A catastrophic reversal of fortunes sums it up really. I no longer have a washer and dryer in my home (nor my home) and the ones I have access to would make a gang-banging hard-ass look over his shoulder. So I had 3 massive bins full of laundry and no where to go - until now!!! I came here (despite the 25 mile round trip) because it was highly recommended by other Yelpers I know. I'm SO glad. It took me 2 hrs (this includes the loading up the car, drive, unloading everything to complete a task that would have taken all day at my old house. The facility is spacious. The attendant (Gloria) was awesome. I have 1500 thread count sheets. (The Mighty may have fallen far, but they fall into some stellar sheets at night.) These take FOREVER to dry. Having access to several washers/dryers is LIFE-CHANGING. When I'm back on top again - and I WILL be back on top again - I will still come here to knock out in an hr or two what ordinarily wasted an entire day. read more

I HATE doing laundry. Knowing that I have a few loads of clothes is generally a major buzzkill in my day and can make me become a Bitter Betty. I previously went to the SpinCycle on Guadalupe and thought it would be the best laundromat I could hope for... ...but then I decided to come to this place on a whim. And HALLELUJAH, I have been missing out. The effect of ambiance on my mood is pretty amazing, and from my first time at this laundromat I realized how insanely STRESSED the SpinCycle made me feel. Always super busy, commotion everywhere. Aside from one TV, this place is relatively quiet. The WiFi is fabulous, and the layout makes me feel a bit less claustrophobic than other laundromats. This place is quite a bit further than SpinCycle,but I think from now on I'd rather go the extra few miles here every couple weeks than go back to the chaos of any other laundromat. read more

I truly hate going to the laundromat. I have to go about 4 times a year to wash all my down comforters. It's a task I put off as long as possible, and then pat myself on the back for days afterwards once I've gotten it done. The only redeeming quality of this chore is, I have a nice place to go. Laundromats typically feature TV's playing reeeeally bad shows at concert volume, uncomfortable chairs, sticky children running amok and gross bathrooms. Coinless Laundry has all those things, but its one saving grace is the helpful and polite employees who help a dummy like me get my machine going and show me where to put the detergent in the right little cup thingie. They also have an assortment of quality washers and dryers, none of which look like they'll ruin your clothes. If you have to spend time in a laundromat, this one is a god bet. I used to like the place. I was such a loyal customer that I am currently the foursquare mayor. Tonight, a new employee would not let me wash my small load of clothes because cut off time was 10:00pm. It was 10:05pm. I asked "I cant wash because of 5 minutes?" Her reply was "If this was the mall... pfft". Comparing a neighborhood laundromat that is open for another hour and a half to a mall at closing time did not make sense. There's three things I want in a laundromat: cleanliness, lots of crap to buy while I'm being held captive, and the magical ability to confer a kind of psychic ability so I know when machines are open. I used to hate hate hate quarters. I'd have them in my sock, my purse, in a bag, no matter what I never had enough stupid quarters. I love you coin less laundry. I love you so so much. This place is clean, there's always someone there to help you if things get confusing or your money gets eaten. They have a few arcade games, tvs and stuff to watch. A magazine rack if you want to read a bit. My favorite part is the wifi. There is so much crappy stuff that goes along with normal laundry mats. I've never experienced anything crappy here. If a machine is broken there's usually a sign on it, so you don't waste your time or your money. Its location is convenient and while you wait for your clothes to dry you can grab a bite, or go for a walk! Sometimes we just bring our DS lites and play mario, but other times we've gotten coffee while our clothes dry. It feels safe leaving your clothes(we always make it back before they're dry), not like other places where you sit with your hand on the dryer eyeballing everyone who approaches because you don't want them stealing your underoos. read more

If you have to go to a laundromat then this is a good one to go to! It's always clean, well lit, and there is always an attendant there. They have the big industrial front load machines so you don't have to ruin your clothes. (They do have the top load machines if that's what you want...) They also have free wireless and there are magazines, newspapers, and televisions to help occupy your time while you wait for your clothes to finish. read more

This is the only laundrymat I use and it's about a 7 mile drive from my house (there is another coinless place off of Anderson Mill but the prices are much too high for drying). There is always an attendant on duty and there is a bathroom available for customers to use. The regular sized machines cost roughly $1.50 per load. The double loaders are about $2.50. The dryers run on 8 minute intervals and I believe they cost .25 per 8 min. I never use the triple loaders so I don't know how much they cost but you can be sure that a washer that size can handle a king sized comforter. I can almost always dry two loads of laundry in one dryer within 30 - 48 minutes using high heat for towels or medium heat for lighter weight laundry. I use the drying time to go eat at Little China and I almost always get back before the dryers have stopped. LC is closed on Sundays which is fine since it tends to be too busy to risk leaving clothes unattended in dryers for even a couple of minutes. Usually, about 1/10 of the washers and dryers are broken down so as long as it's not crazy crowded (Saturday mornings & Sunday afternoons) it's not usually an issue. One big problem is the heat in the summers. The temps inside reach 95 degrees on the hottest days/nights - there's a temp gauge on the wall. On the upside, if you're looking for a good workout this is a good place to work up a sweat. As I'm not always looking to sweat off the pounds, I find this one glitch to be very annoying and it's one of the reasons I didn't give a higher rating. There are some other issues that I find irksome besides the a/c issue. Many tvs hang inside, which are usually set on reality shows, bad made for tv movies, or other mindless junk. I'm sort of a tv snob preferring PBS, news, or some other learning program and the tv noise coupled with the heat brings on headaches more often than I'd like. Lastly, there are the customers that don't realize that the carts are for sharing. And of course, there are those don't care that their children are in the way and being a nuisance (the latter doesn't happen often, but it is always annoying when it does). As for the cart issue, more than once I've been stuck without the use of one because all the customers had taken one and kept it even when it wasn't being used. It's easy math and common sense: unless it's not busy, one should use the carts only when needed - loading washers, moving clothes from the washers to the dryers, and removing clothes from the dryers. The rest of the time the carts should be left at the front for others to use. A simple sign encouraging customers to share carts and keep kids out of the way would be very helpful and encourage civility at the laundrymat. It would probably make the employees jobs easier as well. All in all, the prices are very reasonable and it's nice to always have an attendant on duty. The bathroom is also a great amenity! Now if they could just get a better a/c unit(s) and some signs to help motivate customers to share/behave it would be perfect. read more

I went on a Tuesday evening - which must be the "sweet spot" to go. 2 maybe 3 people were doing laundry. This was good, but I doubt it is like this all the time. The washers worked fine, but the dryers suck. It took 4 or 5 times to dry a load on "high" heat. They were not huge loads - they came out of the small load white washers. So, that sucked. There method of taking money (credit card) and issuing those fake five dollar bills to put in one machine to put money on a credit card-like to use on the machines is sketchy to me. I say this because let's say you only need to do laundry at the laundromat once and you really don't know what it's going to cost. So, you put $25-25 on the card. When you get done, you still have $10 or 15 left on the card and you'll not get your money back. When you use quarters you use what you need to. I think this is kind of a scam. It could've/should've been cleaner since there were like a total of 4 people doing laundry, but the guy just sat at the counter. Would I use it again? I hope to never have to use a laundromat again. But, in the off chance my brand new washer breaks and I need to do laundry, I doubt I will go there. I like to use quarters instead of some card. Would I recommend it to a friend? Probably not. It wasn't a horrid experience, but it definitely could have been better. read more

As much as I hate having to go do laundry once a week, this place makes it a little less painful. Its never too busy. Even with a local spa doing their laundry taking up half the place- there is still plenty of available washers and dryers. We normally go on weekday mornings or afternoons and occasionally Sunday mornings, so I don't know what the place is like on a Saturday- it may be chaos, but the rest of the time it isn't bad at all. If you only need to do a few loads here and there, and don't plan on being a frequent visitor, you don't have to buy the $3 card. You just see the attendant and they have a card they'll use for you, and you just pay your part of the balance when you leave. We did that for a month or two til we realized we weren't going to have the cash to buy a washer and dryer anytime soon , so we finally paid the $3 just to not always have to bother the attendants, who all are very nice and friendly. Rather than sit there while our clothes get done, we usually go browse the Goodwill that is a couple miles away. We never have to worry about our laundry being stolen, like we did at the other two laundry places we tried. read more

The dryers are the best I've ever used--clothes weren't too hot when I took them out, but were seemingly perfectly pressed. Manager is very friendly. This is one of the nicer laundromats I've been to. I've been doing laundry here since I moved to Austin back in June and probably will until I can get a new dryer. The equipment here is new and clean. The attendant is friendly, and the price is competitive with other coin-op laundries. The free Wi-Fi is also a big plus, wish more of them had it. The ONLY thing I wish they had was more comfortable chairs and more places to sit. I'm sure being in there on a busy day its probably standing room only. read more

**AVOID THIS PLACE** I thought it was a little weird that they asked me to pay for my dry cleaning up front (I've never had to do that anywhere before) but I did it anyway. I came back 2 days later only for them to tell me that my suit pants had a hole in them so they didn't go ahead with the cleaning. I know for a fact that there was no hole in my pants so I asked to see it. This wasn't just a hole, it looked like a dog had grabbed my pants and gone crazy. They had clearly got it caught in something mechanical and ripped it. The lady got extremely aggressive with me and claimed she had witnesses that they were like that when I dropped them off there. It came down to my word against theirs so I wasn't going to get very far but I wanted to warn anyone else thinking of taking dry cleaning here - DON'T!!! read more

Unlike some others, I'm tickled pink to write this review for Coinless Laundry. A little over a year ago I was on a Saturday morning mission to find a place to wash my oversized comforter. I needed a extra large side-load machine, too, not just the regular large. I live in an area with tons of laundromats so I didn't bother to Google anything before I left the house, thinking I'd find what I needed around the corner... big mistake. Almost two hours and twenty miles of driving around in circles later, I had fumes coming out my ears from what I had seen. Filthy, run-down laundromats where half the equipment didn't work, and no one had the extra large machine I needed anyway. (The state of those laundromats was so bad it prompted me to write a furious blog entry on how shop owners in poor neighborhoods don't maintain their equipment/premises because they know their customers have no other choice but to go there anyway.) I pulled over and called a friend to ask if he could find anything online- and he found Coinless Laundry for me. What a breath of fresh air. Clean, quiet, well-lit, new machines, friendly attendants who know what they're doing... it's such a break from the squalor and filth of other places. I go there every couple of months or so with my comforter. And even though I have my own laundry equipment at home, I take all my laundry with me when I go because I can get everything done in an hour and be free to enjoy the rest of my weekend. Oh, and I always walk down to the other end of the strip mall to Little China for a plate of roast hen... it's HEAVEN. In the amount of time it takes to do one load of laundry at home, I get all my laundry done AND have a freaking awesome meal, both at a very reasonable price... what's not to love? I'd like to add one thing different from the other reviews: I've never purchased a card there; I always just ask the girls to load up the machines with time for me and pay at the end. They've never acted like that was asking too much so perhaps you could try that if you don't go there often enough to purchase a card to keep. read more

Beware: the ownership of this location has changed hands, and things have already started going quickly downhill. The attendants/staff of this location are still very helpful and friendly, but I cannot in good faith recommend this location to anyone on account of the shady business practices of the new management. Normally, a new owner isn't exactly cause for concern. However, it certainly becomes such when the new owners decide, on a whim, to invalidate all of the coupons and deals printed or offered prior without explanation or prior notification. Again, this isn't a humongous problem in and of itself when you're just talking about a regular old coupon, but the business continues to this day to offer a deal through Yelp for a $25 credit for the price of $20 that you CANNOT actually use. They will refuse to honor this deal, even if you've completed the checkout process and have had the money debited from your account. To the credit of the attendant: she did everything in her power to make things work, including contacting the management directly... only to be told that they not only would not honor my purchase, despite having already paid for it in full. What's worse is that the management would NOT offer me ANY form recompense whatsoever, both disallowing a refund/store credit for the original $20 I'd already spent (the new manager claimed that money "was in the pocket of the old owner"), nor would they assist me in getting in contact with the old owner, instead instructing me to either "Try calling or coming by on Monday" or to seek a refund through Yelp. Both of which mean that I'm short $20 on a week where I was already pretty skinned. As such, I urge you to choose some other option. Go to a different laundromat, buy your own washer/dryer or, heck, find a friend who'll let you borrow theirs... Just don't give the people running this fiasco any more of your hard-earned money. read more

School is about to start once again, and that means I have to clean my room and do all the laundry I have neglected doing over the summer. I went to the laundry place off of rampart, but it was really crowded and the change machine refused to take my money. So I left and headed down the road to Coinless Laundry. As far as laundromats go...this one is clean, lacks tons of creepy people or homeless drug addicts. bright colors, TVs, wifi, nice vending machine, CLEAN, super clean.... but all of this comes with a price. You have to buy a card for three dollars, which really sucks. I could have used that three dollars to dry some clothes. In any case though, if I have to waste my time doing a chore, I am appreciative that I can pull out my laptop and not have to worry about someone trying to jump me for it. ugh. all the laundromats around my area are the pits, so, I like this one. If I have to spend three dollars...I guess I will. I mean, I already did. I am yelping this as my clothes wash, in 3 minutes they will be done! So hooray for coinless laundry. I really hate that rude staff have demoted my rating from a five to two, but what I experienced tonight with employee, X, was among the most horrid customer service experiences of my life. Just so you know, coin less laundry has a cut off time of 10 o'clock for starting a new load in the washers - being aware of this, I made sure that I had enough time to get there before the 10 o'clock cut off; I arrived at 9:54. As soon as I walked in the door, the girl told me that I'd have to come back because there are "no loads at ten o'clock." Maintaining my polite manner, I mentioned that the sign on the door says last wash at ten o'clock; I then checked both my watch and cell phone which read 9:56. Despite this information, she still refused to provide service (and she wasn't particularly nice about it - because she shrugged her shoulders, turned around, and walked away). It's been a long time since I have so readily felt someone attempt to make me feel instantly insignificant and annoying. I then asked if I could have her name, and she told me "My name is X; whats's your name?" Really, the statement can't accurately imply that tone, arrogance, belligerence, and utter defiance with which she delivered her response; for a second there, I really thought that Angela Johnson's performance of Bon Qui Qui had been made flesh. I told her that my name was yelp review. Long story short, if I were the owner of this business, I would terminate that employee. I've read other yelp reviews for this business that said basically the same thing; this woman, X, is a recurrent problem, and she is hurting the business. To leave early is obviously much more important to her than making the business's customers happy. Be sure to call before using this laundromat in the future to make sure that this woman isn't working; if she is working, I would definitely take my business to someone else. To the manager: private message me for the name. I'll give you what she told me (assuming she didn't lie). I'd also be willing to change this review with confirmation of X's termination. --- Under normal circumstances, I absolutely love giving my business to this place. It's really nice not having to deal with quarters; the other staff member that I've dealt with, a young Latino guy, has been absolutely wonderful. I also feel that the machines are very fairly priced. Additionally, it's nice to have television and Wi-Fi available to you in a clean laundromat like this one. If it weren't for my experience with X, I would definitely rate as five stars-I really enjoy going to this place. read more
