Everything was really nasty except for my fries but my friend's fries tasted like reheated cardboard. Aesthetically it's a hit. The vibe was positive, trendy, and cheerfully boisterous. The food was above average for Savannah, but my waffles, sausage, and eggs dish was incorrect, and no maple syrup was provided. I just let it pass. Unlike other guests, we were seated promptly, our order was taken quickly, and our food was served directly. The prices are quite high: $20 for a burger and $8 for an orange whip (think Orange Julius). I know of better food in this town for far less than these prices. What Savannah desperately needs is an actual New Jersey-New York-style affordable 24-hour diner, but those are as rare in the South as a jackalope in the wild. Tried to celebrate my best friend's bday there. The management was very quick with emailing me back! They said I could even hang up her banner in the upstairs area. I arrive and apparently no one from management had told the staff that we were coming. After an hour the staff did end up allowing us to hang up the banner after everyone had cleared out from the area. The staff told me that my birthday friend dessert was free but they were wrong. Went about an hour after getting our food before staff came to check on us. I feel like it would've been such a good place because the waitress was super nice! They just need more staff and better communication that we were coming. read more

*Leaving this review for pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan diners* I really really wanted to like this restaurant. But after two attempts... I won't be returning. As a fan of their other business, Crispi, I ordered the patty melt with the veggie patty (which is listed as an option under the menu item). The patty melt came out without any of the other components listed in the description. I asked for the sauce it was supposed to come with, and they tried to charge us extra for it. They had just opened, so I chalked it up as a new restaurant misstep and decided to come back and try it again after they'd found their rhythm. My husband and I decided to give it a try for brunch after several weeks had passed. I don't eat beef/chicken/pork and I noticed that their fries are listed as "beef fat fries" under the sides but not under the Snacks section with the rest of the fried items. So I asked our server if *all* of their fried items are also fried in beef tallow. She said yes. So that means not only the fries, but the onion rings, fried pickles, and hush puppies, fried chicken etc. But only the fries are listed as beef fat fries on the menu, so non-meat eaters beware! I really wish that were clarified on their menu for other people that might assume those items to be vegetarian/vegan. Their menu does mention at the bottom that many of their items can be made vegan or vegetarian upon request... guess that doesn't include anything fried. I ordered a chocolate chip waffle with strawberries and my husband asked the server if he could order the breakfast burrito vegetarian: without sausage or bacon. She said that they can sub the meat for their veggie patty. Our food came... no chocolate chips in the waffle (strange considering it was a pretty simple order and their menu boasts a whole customizable waffle section). I ate it anyway as it wasn't that much of a deal breaker... But my husband's breakfast burrito came out and it was just hashbrowns, a veggie patty, and cheese. No egg, no pepper jelly, or any sauce whatsoever. We are assuming the server thought that my husband was vegan, but it wouldn't have hurt to ask if he still wanted eggs... or if I wanted butter on my waffle. Are the eggs and pepper jelly also made with beef tallow? Aesthetically the space is beautiful, their branding is great, but it feels like they focused a lot more on the visuals and meat centric items than they did on the concept of it being 'a diner' (i.e. short order customizable items for everyone). read more

I've lived in Savannah for 11 years. The food here is absolutely delicious. They don't need any type of expanded menu. What they've got now, they've got it dialed in. I went there early for their "soft launch" or "soft open" and arrived 10-15 minutes before opening. I was seated quickly, food was brought out promptly, and the drinks were great. My only suggestion would be an espresso machine for latte's but that might not be the direction they want to go. I HIGHLY recommend this place. We were so looking forward to seeing this place open as it is close walk for us. To put it simply, we were not disappointed. Hostess and waiter were both friendly and chatty. Food was wonderful. I've been waiting a long time for this one... Like a REALLY long time. For those of you who are familiar with Two Tides Brewing in Savannah, then you already know how hard Liz and James and their team have worked to create one of the go-to spots in town, with their taproom, Float Coffee, Two Tides Crispi, and Smol Bar, making it the anchor of Starland, far amd away my favorite neighborhood in town. This latest addition to their family of establishments has been in the works for the better part of three years. They've endured endless road construction, a fire that would've burned the building down if it hadn't melted a pipe and caused a huge water leak, and all of the other challenges that you'd expect in opening a new restaurant. So today was one that was as eagerly anticipated as anything I've been excited to indulge in for quite some time. I'll tell you this much, folks... The Laundry Diner is gonna become a local institution in short order. No pun intended. The flavors are fantastic, the vibe is retro, bright, and fun, and the service will surely meet every expectation that you've come to have for a Two Tides property once they get their soft opening reps in. Today's late lunch/early dinner hit on all cylinders, starting with the fried pickles with delectable dilly ranch and onion rings with tasty "Laundry" sauce, and ending with a chicken and waffles that would make your head spin like a washing machine (ask for the foie gras butter) and a steak and eggs with fries that sizzled like a hot dryer. See what I did there? Seriously, though, I probably could've used some of their signature laundry detergent on my white t-shirt as the dippers and sausage gravy simply couldn't avoid it. Kudos to the Masseys for another winner, and we'll be back again soon for some breakfast, sandwiches, and a lemon whip... I might even have to try the meatloaf, but don't tell my Ma! Overall, pretty good! Probably wouldn't get the falafel waffle again but since they couldn't do substitutions (in order for the kitchen to figure out their flow) and I wanted something savory as a vegetarian, I picked that even though I knew it probably wouldn't be the best dish to order from a diner. Though the place is cute , my egg and coffee were not even close to being hot. My friend,who had the 2 egg breakfast said her sunny side up eggs were swimming in oil,yuck! The bacon was tasty but more fat than meat. It was 10:45 AM and they ran out of decaf coffee! Also, they charged me $2.00 for a thimble of honey (of which I used an eighth of a teaspoon) and when the server said she had to ring it in so the kitchen would know to prepare it; she didn't say I would be charged for it. We've been to The Laundry Diner twice in the last week alone it was so good. Be prepared to wait on the weekend, which we did not mind at all. Hostess and staff were all so accommodating and kind. Food is worth it! We have loved everything we have tried from the waffle to the chicken fried chicken. Q is a fantastic server and brings a whole new level of hospitality to the experience. The breakfast burrito at The Laundry Diner is hands down one of the best meals I have ever had and I am not being dramatic. Every bite was spot on. The eggs were fluffy and properly scrambled, the hash browns were crispy, the American cheese melted perfectly, and all of it was wrapped up in a warm, soft tortilla. Then came the pepper jelly. That little hit of sweetness tied everything together in the best way. I already thought it could not get better, but then I added a side of their Laundry Sauce and everything changed. It is creamy, tangy, and completely addictive. And do not even get me started on their dill ranch. It is light, super refreshing, and honestly one of the best ranches I have had anywhere. The space itself is just as thoughtful as the food. It has this soft seventies vibe with muted tones, cozy textures, and a calm, nostalgic energy without trying too hard. This was not just a meal. It was an experience. If you are in Savannah and you do not stop by The Laundry Diner, you are seriously missing out. I will be thinking about that burrito until I make it back and next time I am getting extra Laundry Sauce. read more

Second time coming to The Laundry Diner and I could not rave more about it!! Breakfast for two under $40 with drinks for both of us! All the food has been absolutely delicious and I am now a cheese grits fanatic! $10 for a breakfast plate, hell yeah. The coffees are very well priced and so are the sides. Would love for them to add turkey bacon/sausage on the menu to add a non-red meat alternative but luckily there are options that don't have you losing components to your dish for those who don't eat red meat. The interior and exterior are absolutely gorgeous and being from NJ with a million diner options I can say this is up there with the best of them. Wayyyyy over priced... it is not a "Diner" $3:50 for a cup of coffee! $14 for one small slice of avocado toast. $5 for OJ... No parking in a non-walkable out of the way location. Hard pass! I waited 45 minutes at The Laundry just to be told by the host that they weren't allowed to seat anyone else because the kitchen -- staffed with eight people -- was "overwhelmed." They said it would be at least another hour. That alone was frustrating, but during the wait, I got a good look at what was coming out of the kitchen: just basic breakfast food. Nothing creative, nothing unique -- just standard diner fare with trendy prices. To top it off, they had no non-pork options on the menu, which is disappointing and unnecessarily limiting in 2025. We finally got to enjoy a meal at the Laundry Diner. The attention to detail is evident in the decor. We had the hash bowl which was delicious with the soft boiled egg I opted for. We also tried the meatloaf. The seasonal veggies that came with this were extra yummy. We had quick, friendly service with not too long waiting, considering all of the visitors. I got the short rib has brown bowl but had substituted it for friend chicken. The chicken had absolutely no seasoning on it and the has browns were burned and super crunchy. The service was great though, Gabriel was very kind and understanding also super nice to my other peers and overall great service. Love the concept and appreciate that the kinks are still being worked out. However, arrived at noon and sat for 50 mins waiting on a turkey club and two eggs. Not once did the server check in during this time. We grabbed her attention and asked about the order but received no update. She mostly seemed annoyed we even asked. A few more minutes and we asked to cancel the order and I offered to pay for the OJ and was surprised when she started to charge me for it. The manager (I assume) standing nearby said it's fine, no charge. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Rude staff and the food - well can't review that - it never arrived. Wanted to come try out this new spot but was heavily disappointed for a diner. first the service was mediocre at best. the only time our server came up to us was to take our order drop our food off and then give us our check. The food was also not worth the price tag. the chicken and waffles were the most bland chicken I've had, I had to douse the chicken and waffles in syrup to get a taste out of them. The short rib hash was over salted, there was barely any hash, and the meat itself was very dry. It also took 37 minutes for our food to come out even with the restaurant not being that busy. A simple apology for the food taking a long time would have gone a long way. There was an overall lack of empathy towards us and our time. Definitely will not be going back. read more

beautiful diner with unique aesthetic. amazing and friendly staff that offer great hospitality. delicious and specially curated food menu. top tier beverage options ranging from local beer made by sister brewery two tides, best milkshakes in town (and wide selection i may add), and the absolute best nitro cold brew in savannah georgia. they also offer coffee beans roasted by their sister coffee shop (same location as brewery) and have a great pastry selection. the menu changes with the seasons. and! not only are they a go-to breakfast spot, but also a great choice for late night hangs. highly recommend read more
