    Elote pizza

Very cool find in the small town of Wassaic. It is so close to the Four Brothers Drive-In but you have to search to find it. The elote pizza and kale pizza were very cool twists on a great Neapolitan soft and thin pizza. The neighborhood has amazing artist galleries. They were setting up for live music outside and I imagine it would be a great place to drink with friends.

Extremely rude bar manager who picks fights with patrons most of them women. The owners are aware of his issues and don't seem to care.

It was slightly on the crisp side (unintentional I'm sure) but had great flavor. It was served with some homemade basil infused ricotta and fresh cherry tomatoes. A wonderful treat for the tastebuds but the ratio of cheese to focaccia was off and we ended up eating the last third of the bread dry. Even dry it was great. My wife had the chicken pasta dish and I had the Kinderhook smash burger. This was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Fresh beef, fresh toasted sesame bun, fresh arugula and a most wonderful burger sauce that made every bite a joy. My wife raved about the pasta and the bite (or two) she shared with me was fantastic. She tried a bite of my burger and she too felt it was one of the best she's had also.

The side entrance leads to a cozy outdoor lounge with couches and string lights that immediately set the tone. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly, and our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The food was excellent. The stuffed squash blossoms were absolutely delicious, I could have ordered another plate! I also had the meatloaf with veggies and mashed potatoes , which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the Kingsley Burger and loved it. The only miss for me was the watermelon drink. It looked refreshing, but it tasted more like sparkling seltzer water than the fruity drink I was expecting. My only criticism is something I wish all restaurants would change: calculating suggested tip percentages after tax instead of before tax. It can make it seem like you're tipping less than you actually are. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were wonderful, and we'd definitely come back. Worth the drive to Kent!

I am thrilled to have finally had the opportunity! The feel of the place is precisely what you would imagine in Kent. Traditional old-style dark wood, a sense of community, perfect decor to harken back to the days of stage coaches and taverns being the center of a town's social scene. Service was excellent. We never wanted for anything - but yet were not bombarded or crowded in the quaint dining room setting. The best and most important part of our meal was - well - the food. The menu is suitable for literally any dietary need without compromising their spin on elevated tavern/comfort food. Ample appetizers, interesting salads, tacos, meat/non-meat and even vegan options abound - all with terrific portion size and execution. Our entire group was pleased (and some are persnickety). Very much looking forward to returning and grateful they are in our great town.

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was nice and friendly despite being so busy. So we started with clam chowder. This was okay. Having had the best clam chowders in Maine, I didn't expect much, but surprisingly, this was not bad. We shared the stuffed mushroom, nothing to write home about. But the New York strip dinner was cooked perfectly at medium-rare. The char was a bit much, and this was a 1-inch steak, and it was good! BF enjoyed his lamb burger as one of the specials. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. It's a nice restaurant and had a vibrant vibe despite being in a rural area of New York.

Took a solid ten minutes to get noticed, but no real waitstaff. Bartender was running all over, back and forth, serving tables and tending the bar. Felt really bad for her. But then long periods of nothing happening. Took about 20 minutes to get our burgers. Food was served, but no silverware on the table, had to get up and ask for them at the bar. The food: not sure I love the herbs on the fries. It said truffle fries but I didn't get any truffle flavor whatsoever. Burger was a little too well done for a medium, but the quality of the meat was good. The burger bun on top felt cold, while the insides were toasty. That was odd. Bacon felt like it was prepped much earlier in the day, so it was more like beef jerky, and didn't have a soft freshly cooked texture. Overall, good experience, but I was hoping that this was the "IT" burger place for me, when I get the hankering for a burger. My buddy had a Salmon burger. He said it was excellent, but also complained the "truffle fries' were not truffle fries at all. Next time I will try something different. I really like the vibe here and the doors being open wide gave it a very NYC/Brooklyn small neighborhood vibe.
