Jumbo Pizza - HUGE and Yummy! Barely fit in the box.

Amazing Jumbo Pie- Amazing! Enjoyed it so much. Now that's a pizza! YUM! Almost didn't fit in the box. With everything shrinking these days it was great to get this huge, stupid delicious pie!

Stupid delicious.

Pulled in, stood around, waited my turn, ordered two slices. WOW. Dude, you make some stupid delicious pizza. I'll be back. Keep it up. (The spot across the street ain't bad either!). I love good pizza, so thank you for doing what you do.

St. Stephan's large pie.

Back again! Still best garlic knots in the County hands down. Got another white pizza too finished with park and evoo - YUM! Tried one regular slice too - so fresh. Definitely trying their Detroit crust next time . Had a Mr. Garfield pizza and was so impressed. Yum!

Detroit style

Ordered 2 pizzas, one regular cheese, the other a Detroit style. Both were excellent! Super impressed. Also we had an order of the garlic knots which were outstanding!

In the middle of nowhere, this place with the weird name is serving up the best pizza you will find north of NYC.

Tony and the staff at PRP were so accommodating that I honestly felt like I was back at my family's table at a Sunday dinner. The food was delicious, authentic, and large portions which is always important. I never leave with left overs but did so for almost every course. The only lack-of-left-over dish was the fra Diavlo calamari which was honestly the most tender calamari I've had in my 42 years on this planet. Tony came out to introduce himself unprompted and to see if we were enjoying the meal, only to then provide my boys with ice cream treats (a selection of their choice) along with added fun, kind, and genuine conversation about himself and the restaurant. Thank you PRP for giving us a new local spot for us to call our own!

The gluten free pizza I had was probably the best I've ever had. It tasted like the real deal. I had to keep checking to make sure I was eating the right one. My husband said his pizza was also delicious. We both ordered salads- they were both fresh and good to eat. We ordered relatively early on a Wednesday so the food got here pretty quick! We will definitely be ordering again!

I finally…read moredecided to look them up on Yelp, and decided to give them a try, based on all of the "Positive" reviews. I have no idea what those that gave this place "5 Star" ratings, were thinking. I'm guessing they don't know what good pizza is, in NY / CT. Pizza is "mid" at best. Floppy, overworked dough. Truly a disappointment. I have no idea if they make their own sauce. If they do, they need to change the recipe ASAP. Bland, no flavor, desperately in need of seasoning, even a little salt would be a vast improvement. To better describe their sauce, imagine the old "Sacramento Tomato Juice", the one in the gold can, it's EXACTLY like they used that as the base to make the pizza and dipping sauce. The calamari was ok, but was mostly tiny pieces and mostly fried coating, on our plate. Their were two whole pieces and may ten small rings and some fried cherry peppers. It was evident that the staff was clearly short staffed. With only two tables, the waitress was spending more time in the kitchen and take out counter, than waiting on the two tables, who were desperately looking for service. I would go back in an absolute pinch if I had to maybe go grab a sub , but it will be unlikely, if another restaurant is open nearby.

White Silo Farm & Winery is a rustic farm, vineyard & winery that opened in Sherman, Connecticut in…read more2000. It was opened by the Gorman family, including Ralph and his son Eric. Ralph has a degree in engineering and had previously worked as an engineer, a chemistry teacher, a physics professor and a consultant. He grew bored, wanted to try something different, so in 1985 he decided to purchase a 17-acre parcel of farmland in Sherman that had previously been part of Upland Pastures dairy farm. The Gorman family intended to continue the farming tradition and preserve the land for generations to come. They planted crops of raspberries, blackberries and rhubarb. The circa 1780 dairy barn and silo were completely renovated and converted into a tasting room and production area. By 2000, the winery opened to the public. The initial wines made available were fruit (non-grape) wines, crafted from their own farm-grown fruit. The Gorman family planted their first grape vineyard in 2010 and additional grapevines were planted in 2016. My wife and I visited White Silo this past weekend. To celebrate my wife's birthday, I took her for a drive in Western Connecticut to see the fall foliage and explore some wineries. This was our first visit to White Silo and it was our first stop of the day. The property was lovely and the interior of the barn was very charming. We decided to order some wine flights so we could sample several of the winery's offerings. Between the two of us, we sampled their "Upland Pastures White", "Rhubarb", "Sparkling Red Raspberry", "Upland Pastures Red", "Farm White", "Upland Pastures Rosé", "Blackberry Sangria", and their "Apple Cider". We decided to purchase bottles of our two favorites (the "Sparkling Red Raspberry" and the "Apple Cider") to take home. White Silo also offers light food options as well. We shared the winery's "Hummus Plate" and "Gourmet Boxed Lunch" while we enjoyed our flights. The boxed lunch, which changes seasonally, included a turkey sandwich made with arugula and White Silo mustard, quinoa salad, a mini cheese plate, mixed nuts, and a chocolate turtle bar. It was the perfect amount of food to enjoy with our wine samples. Overall we had a very relaxing experience at White Silo, complete with a live musician. We highly recommend White Silo to visitors traveling through this quiet part of the state. We hope to be back!
