She explained to us exactly how the process would work, how the pricing worked. She even recommended a contractor that The Kitchen Store works with. At no point in the process did we feel pressured to choose The Kitchen Store for our kitchen remodel. I did my first remodel three years ago and Blanca Moran at The Kitchen Store was the perfect fit. She designed the kitchen and got me more than double the counter space and storage. I have had the pleasure of working with Blanca Moran and Dan Smith (cabinet installer at SmithCo.). Blanca has emulated professionalism at its finest! She is patient, considerate, and has followed up promptly each time I have made a change to my cabinet design (around six iterations in total). In all honesty, I can be a demanding customer - I expect perfection, knowing how costly my purchase will be. I want the best bang for my buck! Blanca did her best to work within my budget, focusing on my design aesthetic and challenging herself to ensure I was delighted before I signed off on the final design plan. I was specific about roll-out drawers, where shelves should be located, how I wanted cabinets to open (left-hinged versus right-hinged), utensil holders, both trash/recycle bins, and whether glass doors / solid panels should be used. Through it all, Blanca was just as passionate about my project as I was. Dan from SmithCo came out to my home multiple times to measure, as I had also decided at the last minute to use more space to extend my kitchen. Dan has also been an asset to me during the construction phase, offering solid advice and guidance. I have felt safe and supported...I understand that a business is designed to 'make money,' yet I feel as if I am working with family. This is important to me as a customer - I want to be included, valued, and challenged to do what is best for my home value and kitchen remodel. Today I paid for my cabinets in full. Terrible Experience. The gentleman who came to help me was elderly, no hair and un interested in what I was attempting to do. I wanted all new cabinets for my kitchen. He immediately quoted me a ridiculous price before I sat down. Upon giving him my plans of about a dozen cabinets he requoted me a better price-reluctantly. He was cold. He obviously didn't want my business. But why.. I'm not using the race card but it sired appeared like it. I politely left and told him why. He didn't care. For 10k I'll take my business elsewhere. I worked with Blanca Moran on a kitchen remodel in 2022 and the experience was outstanding. She visited my home multiple times to assess the project and design the remodel. The plan involved relocating appliances, building a baking counter, designing new lighting, revising the size and placement of cabinets, and preserving some elements of the kitchen, including exposed brick . She helped me choose flooring, tile, backsplash tile, appliances, cabinets, color scheme, and hardware. During demolition and construction she was in regular contact with the contractor to make sure the plan was followed. Whenever there was an issue or a question, she was available and solved any problem that came up. There was no drama ever! I can't recommend Blanca highly enough. Recently there was an issue with a cabinet. I reached out to Blanca (three years later!), and she responded and had the cabinet maker at my house to make the adjustment. Amazing!! There were exceptions which may or may not bother you. Looking at my kitchen it looks great, finally. So in the long run they deserve 5 stars but all the problems made it a 4 to me especially after paying $10k for a very small kitchen and this did not include installation. The kitchen store sent two defective cabinets which were not painted (clear) on one side visible not against wall. One of these also had a warped side panel at the bottom shelf to side fit and the plywood bottom and veneer were delaminating. The installer, a subcontractor, installed the cabinets anyway. I believe this is because the owner of the installation company showed up then left in 5 minutes and did not supervise the project. An extremely hardworking and very professional installer was on his own for 10 hours no help and a whole kitchen bottom and top cabinets. The kitchen store replaced the cabinets. It took one week then the cabinets were "lost". A second order arrived and the cabinets were finished nicely no defects. The owner of the installation company did a very professional removal and install of the replacement cabinets and aligned all the cabinet doors nicely top to bottom (adjustable hinges) very time consuming. The installation company also cut and fit a quartz countertop perfectly. There were some other minor issues which were resolved. Kenny from the kitchen store was awesome to work with including multiple visits to the job sight. Also a very nice person. The install contractor Wayne is used by The Kitchen on many installs. The only problem with the install company was Wayne asked for the full payment before the job was done. He also insisted on taking checks to our bank the same day and cashed them. The bank called us to verify the checks. Had he waited a few days the funds would have been available. There were no problems with the first two payments. My wife and I use PayPal for most of our big ticket items. Wayne does not use PayPal and wanted my wife to download the app he used. Are you kidding?? Finally he asked for all the remaining money before the countertop and replacement cabinets were installed. This is uncalled for and not professional. But, he did return in a timely manner and complete the job nicely. Now that there is a whole new group of contractors in Los Angeles it is imperative you only pay when the job is finished and you are presented with a receipt or contract with a letter head. I have had friends pay a "contractor" all the costs before the job was finished and they never saw them again after the job was not completed. On one job they were paid everything up front and never returned to start the job! I would use the Kitchen Store again but now that I have been "schooled" I know the job would go perfectly. read more

I am a designer and last year, my client and I ordered a complete kitchen cabinet design, with Ann as our assistant. I sent her all the information, product numbers and measurements needed for the project. We had various small issues, such as cabinets fitting in the space, being too large, or too small.. Also, the glass for the front of the cabinets came broken and it took several more times to fix the problem. However, the most frustrating problem had to do with, the cabinet area for the microwave. We had provided the measurements prior for the microwave we purchased, a normal sized microwave, however, the cabinet provided was for a mini microwave. When we brought this to Ann's attention, instead of good customer service offered, she became defensive and accusatory of us. Instead of communicating with my client, she called me or the contractor. Long story short, we're stuck with an expensive problem a microwave we can't use, and a cabinet design made for a mini-microwave we don't want. Since we were not able to get the service, we wanted from Ann, my client contacted her manager. The request was for just $600 to cover the cost of the microwave we had already purchased. Since the Pacific Sales would not take the return because too much time had elapsed. However, it seems that the manager does not want to return my client the $600 even though she spent 50 plus thousand on the kitchen. It seems this would be a small goodwill gesture on the part of the manager to do. So now my client has not heard back from the manager. So it isn't just Ann who has customer service issues, it goes all the way to the top. If I had to do this all over again with another client, I would not recommend the kitchen store. Too many problems and not enough positive customer service. read more

Really disappointed! I'm a general contractor, worked with Cynthia for 4 different jobs really each one of come out with a lot of mistakes, the time frame always late till we receive the cabinets, takes a while to arrive did come with a lot of mistake on the size or damage from the manufacture sometimes that really delayed my project. If you guys short on time stay away from the store it's gonna take for you months to receive the cabinet and fixing the corrections. I'm saying that really from my experience 4 different orders and all of them came bad. The last one was a simple vanity that also ( of course) come the wrong size of the drawers that I need to modify by myself. Really disappointing!!!!! read more

We had done a less expensive ADU project with Cynthia and now a few years later have done our main house. She was great mediating between me and my husband. She has excellent design sense, very professional, very responsive, reliable, and so tolerant of our ever-changing minds. What's great that she also helps coordinating with products that they will not be selling us like the floors or the countertops. I couldn't imagine buying the cabinets without seeing how they went with the countertops which they also have at the store. She also did not try to upsell us. If anything we kept asking for other items that we saw in the store that we liked, for example the floating shelves with lights beneath them. We are happy with the end result but the process not only involved a lot of patience and extra unforeseen costs. Luckily we had Cynthia as a sales rep who put in a lot of extra time and effort to smooth things out. The Crystal Cabinetry was supposed to be the TOP of the line and the costliest..... well so many mistakes were made we were wondering if they ever had done a kitchen before.... As measurements were taken we were surprised that some of the cabinetry wouldn't get through the doors ....so we had to remove a door and a window. Parts were missing or some cabinets were so badly designed the drawers wouldn't fit in the cabinets..... The most frustrating thing is that after waiting a long time for the product to arrive ( reason was it's all custom made...) we had to spend so much extra time and labour to get to the final result...... read more

I highly recommend The Kitchen Store if you are looking for new cabinets. We are new home buyers; we bought a fixer upper with no kitchen. We worked with Marie to design our layout; she was patient and accommodating. We chose the Omega Cabinets solid maple. It was bumpy towards the middle end of the installation. The installer was not able to finish the job in a timely manner. There was a mistake, and part of our order did not get made, so we had to wait for the whole order. This took an extra 3 weeks. By that time the oringal installer was moved on and I had a pile of cabinet pieces in my kitchen waiting. The manager Jason and the sales rep, Marie worked very hard and fast to get me new installers, and help negotiate final payments and within 2 days all was resolved. I am grateful for the support of Jason and Marie. They assisted a possible shit show and turned it into a pretty good experience. And my kitchen is really coming together. read more

The kitchen store was the greatest part of our home remodel. Blanca Moran was incredibly helpful to me and my parents (I like to call myself their free interior designer). She spent countless hours going through and customizing the cabinets in a way that fit my parents' needs and dreams. Additionally, the installer Blanca recommended was Dan Smith. What a gem! From the moment he and Blanca stepped into the remodel, they worked seamlessly as a team -- going back and forth discussing dimensions, layouts, and designs with familiarity and expertise that comes with years of experience. Dan was stand-out as he was able to catch numerous mistakes made by the construction team, able to re-accommodate and make adjustments as needed. He gave my parents reassurance, offered advice and consultations, and genuinely cared about the outcome of their home. His professionalism was so outstanding, that we asked him to come back to do other projects on the house (outside of the initial cabinet install), including quartz countertops, bathroom counters, and a gorgeous quartzite fireplace. I chose the Kitchenstore because of the quality of cabinets and the advertising of their expertise on "Talk Radio". I had researched many cabinet options, but CHOSE THE KITCHEN STORE even though it was very far away because of the quality of product and promises made. The rep had assured my husband and I That The Kitchen Store was a preferred Diamond customer and the turn around time was 4 weeks, which they even advertise that on talk radio. I paid cash for the Cabinets back in Aug 2021. The 4 weeks had gone by and I called to follow up with the kitchen store mid September and the rep said it would be an additional 2 weeks wait. I called again after the additional 2 weeks and the Kitchenstore rep had ME contact the Diamond rep, "Christopher",myself to see if I could expedite the delivery process any sooner. I must say, this is completely unprofessional to have a consumer contact a vendor. I did contact that Diamond rep, Christopher l, and was told the cabinets would be in soon. Weeks go by again, and finally, October 30th is when they were in. I was told by rep at Kitchen store, that I could pick up my cabinets myself at my own expense (there were over 25 large boxes). I complained that this is unacceptable and they finally were delivered to my home on a Saturday. In addition, because of the delay in delivery I had to delay my contractor until the cabinets were in. To my dismay, after rip out of old cabinets there was a 6 inch discrepancy in the measurements the kitchen store experts had taken. I brought this to the attention of Blanca when I noticed the numbers on the written plan, did not add up. She said she will order another set of cabinets, along with the missing crown molding and replacement broken glass in one of the delivered cabinets. I was told it would be another 4 weeks despite the mismeasurement by the Kitchen store professionals. Another 4 more weeks have now gone by and still no cabinets. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED with the untruthful and unprofessional delivery promises. (Nov/21) They are real quick to take your money but slow on the follow through. The cabinets I had are already installed in my kitchen but everything is on HOLD Until the delivery of the missing cabinets to proceed. (Countertops,backsplash,electrical, plumbing,etc). So much for the quote of the original 4 weeks back in August 2021. I am still waiting for those promised cabinets to date as I am writing this review. It is now Mid November 2021. Update: My husband had to pick up the missing cabinet pieces himself on December 3, 2021. Our Contractor Sonny Builders was able to resume project and finish.
