After putting off a long overdue kitchen refresh, we gave The Kitchen Store a call and what a wonderful experience! We worked with Blanca who was very knowledgeable, always available to answer all our questions and helped us pick the perfect cabinets and quartz to match our home. Dan and his entire crew with SmithCo showed up on time, cleaned well at the end of the day, were professional and a pleasure to work with. We are looking forward to working with Blanca and Dan on our upcoming master bathroom upgrade! read more

The Kitchen Store - Nasty place. - Kitchen & Bath Near Me - Culver City, California

My husband and I were hesitant to purchase our kitchen cabinets here because we thought they would be too expensive. When you enter this showroom you will think they will be too expensive but that is not true. We priced out two other places and The Kitchen store gave us more for our money and came in with competative pricing. But my favorite part was the excellent customer service we received. Our designer Cynthia was phenomenal! She was patient paid attention to details we missed and helped us design our kitchen in such a great way. She was so wonderful and we are so grateful to her. I recommend The Kitchen Store whole heartedly. read more

Well worth the drive from our home to Culver City. Made one phone call to find out what they had to offer. We got a phone call back the same day from one of their designers, Blanca. Once she went over a few preliminary questions, we set up an appointment to meet in person within the week. Blanca was patient with all of our questions; she helped us to get a great layout visual. She explained to us exactly how the process would work, how the pricing worked. She even recommended a contractor that The Kitchen Store works with. At no point in the process did we feel pressured to choose The Kitchen Store for our kitchen remodel. Blanca was with us every step of the way, she always made us feel that we could call her with any concerns or questions throughout the remodel. She checked in with us throughout the whole process. She came out to our home several times to physically check on the progress. We truly appreciate the care and consideration that Blanca took in our kitchen remodel. We were well pleased with the whole process and the final outcome. read more

The Kitchen Store has amazing customer service. I bought Decora inset cabinets for my modem cottage kitchen. Marie helped me create my designer kitchen that I had always wanted since I watched The deVOL Kitchen show. I gave her my drawings and she made it come to life. It only took one day to measure out my kitchen and one day to order the cabinets. The cabinets took 8 weeks but it was worth the wait. I had special requests when the cabinets arrived and she quickly contacted the vendor for more supplies. It arrived to my home within days. When I first arrived to the store I was only dreaming about getting my kitchen because I knew financially it was impossible to have. Marie suggested contacting their construction loan bank that has a one year deferred payment and no interest loan. She also recommended Smith Construction to install the cabinets. She has great connections to make your new kitchen happen. Everything came out beautifully. My friends and family tell me that my kitchen came out beautifully. I love it too. I would definitely recommend using TKS to make your dream kitchen come to life! read more

I did my first remodel three years ago and Blanca Moran at The Kitchen Store was the perfect fit. She designed the kitchen and got me more than double the counter space and storage. She helped facilitate working with a contractor. I thought I was just going to TKS to get cabinets, but Blanca was there every step in the construction process, coming to the house several times to offer input and advice and coordinate with the contractor. She liked my taste in tiles and accessories, but was honest if I was about to make a mistake or there was a better way. TKS is full service and if there's just one new cabinet needed, I will always seek out Blanca's guidance. I'm in the middle of my second remodel now of my main bath. My vanity was custom made; I thought I knew what I wanted, but Blanca designed something with beauty and function - and once again, every step of the way she's here supporting the total project. I recommend her and The Kitchen Store to everyone who asks. The added bonus is that I just love her as a human being. (The whole vibe there is friendly and warm.) read more

It is a rare pleasure to recommend a business as professional, reliable, and genuinely talented as The Kitchen Store in Culver City. Kenny Legaux was outstanding. I had contacted him regarding cabinet fronts that were incorrectly constructed from another vendor. He was immediately able to help and completely the resolve the problem without hesitation. He was gracious, kind, and so patient. He took my phone calls and emails without hesitation. I cannot express my gratitude enough for an individual who embodies such professionalism and investment in his customers. I cannot offer any more praise for Kenny, as it was an absolute joy to work with him. Just a wonderful experience. read more

My parents have been going to Kitchen Store for years so my husband and I looked forward to seeing what they had as new homeowners starting a remodel. And it was a wonderful experience! I worked with Wayne who was kind, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to talk me through the options and my many questions. He was also very mindful in keeping me in the loop around price points as I stated we had a target in mind. The cabinetry turned out to be exactly what we were looking for & great quality. And I very much appreciated Wayne continuously checking in to provide updates on delivery. We'll always come to the Kitchen Store and would absolutely recommend working with Wayne! read more

Working with Blanca as a designer, and Kitchen expert, and her installation team headed up by Dan has been an exceptional experience. The kitchen store offers a large selection of high-quality kitchen cabinets, a variety of colors (including custom colors), and multiple styles to choose from (e.g., basic shaker to upscale designs). I have had the pleasure of working with Blanca Moran and Dan Smith (cabinet installer at SmithCo.). Blanca has emulated professionalism at its finest! She is patient, considerate, and has followed up promptly each time I have made a change to my cabinet design (around six iterations in total). In all honesty, I can be a demanding customer - I expect perfection, knowing how costly my purchase will be. I want the best bang for my buck! Blanca did her best to work within my budget, focusing on my design aesthetic and challenging herself to ensure I was delighted before I signed off on the final design plan. I was specific about roll-out drawers, where shelves should be located, how I wanted cabinets to open (left-hinged versus right-hinged), utensil holders, both trash/recycle bins, and whether glass doors / solid panels should be used. Through it all, Blanca was just as passionate about my project as I was. Dan from SmithCo came out to my home multiple times to measure, as I had also decided at the last minute to use more space to extend my kitchen. Dan has also been an asset to me during the construction phase, offering solid advice and guidance. I have felt safe and supported...I understand that a business is designed to 'make money,' yet I feel as if I am working with family. This is important to me as a customer - I want to be included, valued, and challenged to do what is best for my home value and kitchen remodel. Today I paid for my cabinets in full. I encourage future customers to visit The Kitchen Store, inquire about specials, and seek the assistance of Blanca and Dan. I sought design plans and quotes from two other cabinetmakers, neither of which was competitive in their pricing, and both offered smaller design plans for almost double the price. Please do your homework; in the end, I'm sure you'll end up in the capable hands of Blanca and Dan. Once my cabinets are delivered and installed, I will post pictures and provide an honest report on any delivery or installation delays, including the quality of the installation team's work. read more

My experience with the Kitchen store has been nothing less than exceptional! Blanca Moran is not just an amazing human being but beyond knowledgeable and professional. Her approach is focus on the smallest detail of the design and installation. As a designer myself, I have recommended her to several of my clients, who have all been extremely happy with the end result. Kudos for Blanca and also the amazing installer Dan. They are an exceptional team and look forward to do many more projects with them. Mieke Saanti Saanti Design read more

Terrible Experience. The gentleman who came to help me was elderly, no hair and un interested in what I was attempting to do. I wanted all new cabinets for my kitchen. He immediately quoted me a ridiculous price before I sat down. Upon giving him my plans of about a dozen cabinets he requoted me a better price-reluctantly. He was cold. He obviously didn't want my business. But why.. I'm not using the race card but it sired appeared like it. I politely left and told him why. He didn't care. For 10k I'll take my business elsewhere. Not a good place in my opinion. read more

Very thorough and professional kitchen planning and design as part of buying new cabinets. We worked with Cynthia T. and she spent as much time with us as we needed. If you don't know where to start, she will help you start to finish. The cabs take a while to arrive bc they are all custom. The few things missing were there when we needed them. When we decided we wanted another shelf months later, and another panel on the island, it was no problem. Great rec for a pro installation team as well. Cynthia's attention to detail, and there are lots of details, was essential for what turned out to be our beautiful, renovated kitchen in a 100+ year-old bungalow. We have so much more space! It feels like a dream in here. read more

We met with Kenny and had the best experience redoing our tricky galley kitchen that was built in 1962. Kenny's expertise and guidance helped us build our dream kitchen and we even came in under budget. Our kitchen received numerous compliments. Kenny made trips all the way to the valley to double check our measurements, he reordered multiple panes of cabinet glass when the manufacturer kept sending us the wrong size, and he helped us find a great installer. I worked with Blanca Moran on a kitchen remodel in 2022 and the experience was outstanding. She visited my home multiple times to assess the project and design the remodel. The plan involved relocating appliances, building a baking counter, designing new lighting, revising the size and placement of cabinets, and preserving some elements of the kitchen, including exposed brick . She helped me choose flooring, tile, backsplash tile, appliances, cabinets, color scheme, and hardware. During demolition and construction she was in regular contact with the contractor to make sure the plan was followed. Whenever there was an issue or a question, she was available and solved any problem that came up. There was no drama ever! I can't recommend Blanca highly enough. Recently there was an issue with a cabinet. I reached out to Blanca (three years later!), and she responded and had the cabinet maker at my house to make the adjustment. Amazing!! I love my kitchen and I continue to get compliments on the kitchen and I give credit to Blanca at the Kitchen Store! read more

It was so nice to see real wood cabinets in the showroom; it's so hard to find real wood cabinets any more. The store itself is not one of those mega-stores, but rather a long-lived provider of kitchen cabinets. I was thrilled to see the selection of cabinets, and the quality of the wood grain. I may consider the colors now that I know of the available colors... read more

A big shout out to my kitchen consultant Marie at the Kitchen Store. She made this end to end journey, from the design, to cabinet selection, to delivery of my new cabinets so seamless and easy; absolutely no stress. Marie's attention to detail is commendable, especially when her suggestions along the way provided me with Aha moments that I would have otherwise missed. Both my cabinet and countertop installers echoed the accuracy with which Marie measured and designed my galley kitchen. I am a happy camper with the end result, and my daughter, who's an avid cook, is enjoying every cabinet space in the kitchen. I am a designer and last year, my client and I ordered a complete kitchen cabinet design, with Ann as our assistant. I sent her all the information, product numbers and measurements needed for the project. We had various small issues, such as cabinets fitting in the space, being too large, or too small.. Also, the glass for the front of the cabinets came broken and it took several more times to fix the problem. However, the most frustrating problem had to do with, the cabinet area for the microwave. We had provided the measurements prior for the microwave we purchased, a normal sized microwave, however, the cabinet provided was for a mini microwave. When we brought this to Ann's attention, instead of good customer service offered, she became defensive and accusatory of us. Instead of communicating with my client, she called me or the contractor. Long story short, we're stuck with an expensive problem a microwave we can't use, and a cabinet design made for a mini-microwave we don't want. Since we were not able to get the service, we wanted from Ann, my client contacted her manager. The request was for just $600 to cover the cost of the microwave we had already purchased. Since the Pacific Sales would not take the return because too much time had elapsed. However, it seems that the manager does not want to return my client the $600 even though she spent 50 plus thousand on the kitchen. It seems this would be a small goodwill gesture on the part of the manager to do. So now my client has not heard back from the manager. So it isn't just Ann who has customer service issues, it goes all the way to the top. If I had to do this all over again with another client, I would not recommend the kitchen store. Too many problems and not enough positive customer service. read more

Really disappointed! I'm a general contractor, worked with Cynthia for 4 different jobs really each one of come out with a lot of mistakes, the time frame always late till we receive the cabinets, takes a while to arrive did come with a lot of mistake on the size or damage from the manufacture sometimes that really delayed my project. If you guys short on time stay away from the store it's gonna take for you months to receive the cabinet and fixing the corrections. I'm saying that really from my experience 4 different orders and all of them came bad. The last one was a simple vanity that also ( of course) come the wrong size of the drawers that I need to modify by myself. Really disappointing!!!!! read more

There were exceptions which may or may not bother you. Looking at my kitchen it looks great, finally. So in the long run they deserve 5 stars but all the problems made it a 4 to me especially after paying $10k for a very small kitchen and this did not include installation. The kitchen store sent two defective cabinets which were not painted (clear) on one side visible not against wall. One of these also had a warped side panel at the bottom shelf to side fit and the plywood bottom and veneer were delaminating. The installer, a subcontractor, installed the cabinets anyway. I believe this is because the owner of the installation company showed up then left in 5 minutes and did not supervise the project. An extremely hardworking and very professional installer was on his own for 10 hours no help and a whole kitchen bottom and top cabinets. The kitchen store replaced the cabinets. It took one week then the cabinets were "lost". A second order arrived and the cabinets were finished nicely no defects. The owner of the installation company did a very professional removal and install of the replacement cabinets and aligned all the cabinet doors nicely top to bottom (adjustable hinges) very time consuming. The installation company also cut and fit a quartz countertop perfectly. There were some other minor issues which were resolved. Kenny from the kitchen store was awesome to work with including multiple visits to the job sight. Also a very nice person. The install contractor Wayne is used by The Kitchen on many installs. The only problem with the install company was Wayne asked for the full payment before the job was done. He also insisted on taking checks to our bank the same day and cashed them. The bank called us to verify the checks. Had he waited a few days the funds would have been available. There were no problems with the first two payments. My wife and I use PayPal for most of our big ticket items. Wayne does not use PayPal and wanted my wife to download the app he used. Are you kidding?? Finally he asked for all the remaining money before the countertop and replacement cabinets were installed. This is uncalled for and not professional. But, he did return in a timely manner and complete the job nicely. Now that there is a whole new group of contractors in Los Angeles it is imperative you only pay when the job is finished and you are presented with a receipt or contract with a letter head. I have had friends pay a "contractor" all the costs before the job was finished and they never saw them again after the job was not completed. On one job they were paid everything up front and never returned to start the job! I would use the Kitchen Store again but now that I have been "schooled" I know the job would go perfectly. read more

Cynthia Torres and the Kitchen Store are just amazing. The store itself is very welcoming and comfortable and has great displays and inspires ideas. We had done a less expensive ADU project with Cynthia and now a few years later have done our main house. Everything on both houses came out beautiful and delivered on time and met our expectations and needs. Our contractor keeps commenting on how what a pleasure she was to work with and how professional she is. Cynthia is the best and knows my taste better than I do. She was great mediating between me and my husband. She has excellent design sense, very professional, very responsive, reliable, and so tolerant of our ever-changing minds. What's great that she also helps coordinating with products that they will not be selling us like the floors or the countertops. I couldn't imagine buying the cabinets without seeing how they went with the countertops which they also have at the store. She also did not try to upsell us. If anything we kept asking for other items that we saw in the store that we liked, for example the floating shelves with lights beneath them. I really learned a lesson watching her, about patience and serving others. You will be very happy if you use her and the Kitchen Store for your project. read more
