Alright. I think not having been here since 3 years ago calls for an update. Don't worry, this one will be short (sort of). No need to change my original rating because this place is still great! Which is really impressive, considering some of the staffing challenges they've had in the past. Of course, I only know that because my best friend used to work here. Still, every business has its ups and downs, so we'll move on. Last time I just had breakfast. But one thing I didn't talk about more was the lobster chowder. Or as they pronounce it in Massachusetts, "lobstah chowda". ;) Note: this is not part of the regular menu. It's a special that the owner makes on occasion. And if you ever get the chance to try it, lemme tell ya....this will knock your f**king socks off! Easily the best damn thing in soup form I have ever tasted! A solid 10 out of 10, would recommend for sure. You may even wanna call the owners up ahead of time to see when they're featuring it next. Also decided to try the Angus burger since it was technically an early dinner for me. It was alright. Not really cooked to order temp wise, since they automatically seem to cook all their beef mid-well. Despite it looking suspiciously similar to the meatloaf sandwich and also lacking a bit of seasoning, I kinda liked it irregardless. There's a certain subtlety to the flavoring. They serve theirs on a ciabatta roll. This one's a 7 out of 10 for me. It's always satisfying to see the local businesses thriving after all these years, especially on the back end of a major economic downshift. Sufficed to say, The Windham Junction is STILL worthy of 5 creamy, savory bowls of piping hot lobstah chowda out of 5.

Never had a bad meal here. It's been a while since we've gone to Windham Junction, probably a year or so but the quality has not dropped. I grabbed a meatball sub while my clone got the kids chicken fingers. Both were excellent. He was more excited for chips, but the chicken fingers were good too. Word of advice, if the weather is nice, make sure you have someone reserving a table with some shade because those go at a premium. You can sit inside, but why would you when it's better outside? I don't really stray from my usual so I can't say if the other sandwiches are better, but the meatball is a must.

Service was super slow but the food tasted very good. They have breakfast and lunch items and it's only about a 2 min walk from the windham rail trail. I wish the seating wasn't right on the corner of a busy road but overall I really did like this place!

The best breakfast/lunch around! Very casual. You belly up to the counter, order then sit inside the store or outside in the yard. Friendly and super fast. I ordered the grilled Reuben which was perfect, he ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Big chunka of fresh chicken with toastes almonds and dries cranberries. On fresh whole wheat bread. I stole half of his sandwich. I'm surprised he didn't tackle me for it. Don't pass this place by. read more

The staff and owners are always very friendly and remember familiar faces. The service isn't the quickest I've had but the great comfort food is worth the wait! Take out is always a great option as well! The indoor seating is very interesting with lots of antiques/trinkets to look at/buy as you wait! Outdoor seating and gardens are beautiful and such a nice treat to such a great restaurant! Chicken Salad Sandwich is to die for! The fruit cup with toasted coconut and yogurt is amazing too! read more

We found this place on yelp when we trying to find a place for sandwiches at lunch. It's a funny little place in a quaint country store. It's filled with those corny quote signs you'd find in your grandmothers home. And the tables tightly fill a room you can sit and eat in once you order your food. We were pleased with our sandwiches. I got the grilled cheese and my boyfriend got the turkey dinner sandwich. We both got the clam chowder. The sandwich and soup was exactly what we wanted so se were pleased! The chips That come with sandwiches are cheap and not great. The service is uber friendly!! Happy yelp reviews directed me here because I never would have stumbled upon it otherwise. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and I thought it was lovely! It's very cute inside. I had the Grilled Cheese with Bacon & Tomato. It came with a bag of chips. I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder and it was the most amazing chowder I've ever tasted! Very rich in flavor. It will be my go-to from now on. Can't wait to go back and try their breakfast! read more

I really like it here! The food is always good and I love the atmosphere. I enjoy looking at all the little gifts in the shop while I wait for my food. The only reason I did not give it all 5 stars is because the whole ordering process was confusing and nobody explained it to me so I ended up waiting for 15 minutes while other people passed by. I just wish that the girl at the counter explained the process to me instead of allowing me to stand there for a while confused. read more

Becoming one of my favorite places. Have been four times now and enjoyed every time. Have only been for breakfast, looking forward to trying lunch. Stopped on the way to work for breakfast sandwiches, quick service, everything hot, tasty and fresh. Tough to find good, quirky places like this in the area, glad I took the advice of fellow Yelpers. Stopped with my wife for a late lunch. Really nice people. Quaint ambience which includes a gift/curio shop. Ordered at a counter and a young lady brought our food to the table. Pea soup - looked homemade - was pretty good. Turkey Feast sandwiches (with pickle and chips) were great!!! Fast, friendly service that beat the dickens out of the chains. With a soda, $22. We shall return! read more

This is a cute NH small-town country store/eatery. We have been visiting this place about once a month for ~5 years, The food is always simply OUTSTANDING. The entrees, snacks, and especially deserts are consistently excellent. A lot of people get take-out from there (call ahead or not) and they offer catering services. They sell a bunch of neat things in their store, New Hampshire made crafts and old-fashioned items you don't often find. In December, they sell Christmas trees of all sizes. read more

Small, kitschy, and delicious. Order at the counter near the entrance (if you can decide between all their tasty options and specials) and sit in the dining room that's only a few steps up. Your food will be delivered to your table piping hot and full of delicious ingredients. Licking the plate is a definite possibility! read more

I've driven by this adorable location countless times while growing up in the area but have somehow made the mistake of not ever visiting until recently. I was simply blown away. This is the kind of place you'd consider a "discovery" - it has a charm to it that seems untouched and untainted by the modern world. Awesome little gift shop selling lots of local art, jewelry and more, and the food was fantastic - really wasn't expecting it to be so delicious. The meatloaf sandwich was insane. I will absolutely be back on the regular and I'm kicking myself for not having visited sooner. read more

The food is excellent and the store very quaint with unique items. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can bring your dog, sit outside and a water bowl is ready for them. Enjoy a long walk on the rail trail before or after--it's a great setting. read more

The Windham Junction is warm, friendly, and the food is great. Breakfast must include the blueberry pancakes with the blueberries INSIDE the pancakes, not spread on the top like some places do. Their coffees are very good--try Alice's French Roast on a cold day. YUM! For lunch, the sandwiches are fresh and large, and the homemade chili is a meal in itself. This place is a real find. read more

Quiet little place. Ordered clam chowder, BLT and a chicken special entree for take out. The chowder was homemade and very tasty, the BLT had huge bacon slices and the entree with balsamic vinaigrette and strawberries was fantastic according to my husband. Great price for great food at a lovely little place. We will be certain to be back. Can't wait to try to ice cream and milk shakes! read more

Great place to pick up a quick bite. The Kitchen is in a historic Victorian near the old train depot and rail trail. The food is just like home. The grilled meatloaf sandwich and chicken salad sandwich with dried cranberries and slivered almonds are great. Daily specials give you alternative choices. The homemade soups are great on cold days. There are yummy deserts and locally bottled root beer, cream sofa, and other old timey drinks. The tables are in set in a bright, comfortable room. A great place for breakfast. Kids loved the Mickey Mouse looking pancakes. I got eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. Every thing was well prepared. The toast was excellent! They appear to have a great selection of baked goods, although I didn't try any. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch items on their menu. I do plan going back and again. By the way, they serve good coffee as well. read more

I stopped by to support the Moeckel Pond fundraiser and discovered a friendly, homey spot with lots of cute signs and ornamentation for sale. The French fries and the creamy vegetable and sausage soup were excellent! I'll be back. read more

We always stop here for lunch after riding the rail trail next door. This place is perfect in so many ways. It defines homey, comfortable, friendly. You feel like family when you're here. The decor inside as great, but we like to eat outside on the porch or at the other outside tables whenever possible. The food is fresh and varied. Something for everyone. You can't be in a bad mood for long at this place, it's just a very happy place for our family. Please don't change a thing! read more

Not only is the food a delicious stop while biking on the rail trail, but the folks here have HUGE hearts. Our Frenchie was severely overheated from riding in a pull behind on a hot day and they helped us ice and hose him down to bring his breathing and body temperature back to normal. They went over and above for a very scared and compromised pup- THANK YOU!! read more

Walking in 7 minutes after opening, this place was already packed. Full of Patriots fans hooping and hollering to the end of the fourth quarter. Every appeared in a merry mood, and everyone knew each other it seems. Service here was great. Our waitress whipped around the room with finesse and speed, working the bar and tables all by herself. She was to the point but pleasant. The beers are ok, but they aren't anything spectacular. An average selection of nearby beers of all varieties. Going to other breweries in New Hampshire, I know that this state can produce good beers. Perhaps they just had a mediocre selection the week I was there. We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.

I showed the waitress and she said "I'm not sure what to do about that". She asked if I wanted a new one and I said yes. (I think she wanted me to give her permission to just microwave it.) The ramekin of ketchup on the plate was spilled all over the fries and part of the burger. I hate ketchup so this was a problem and I told her so. She just laughed and said "really?!" I ate about half my burger (the half without ketchup on it) and no fries. She asked if I wanted a box and I said absolutely not. She offered a free dessert but we were really done at that point. Service is everything. I should have waited an hour at copper door where you always get amazing service and food. If anything at all is wrong they take care of it. They don't make you feel like you are bothering them and they can't wait for you to leave so they can go home! Zero stars tonight common man.

The app they use, Toast, is very easy to navigate and has always been true on delivery window. They have great COVID-19 measures in place and offer contactless delivery. The sandwiches are great and pizza is even better. When we've called. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Try the turkey avocado blt and the cheesy bread. YUM!

Fish and chips wasn't too impressive I don't think I'll order it again - the tartar sauce was too thin in texture and I think there needed to be a little more salt in the batter? But the haddock was fresh and I slept peacefully after my meal. I have visited almost every other restaurant in the area including expensive ones in Tuscan village but this one was the best!

After a hike along the Windham Trail, we stopped for refreshments at the aptly-named Kitchen at Windham Junction. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the special: Cuban Midnight eggs Benedict. The tattooed young lady who took our order advised that all food is cooked to order, and so might be a while. Suitably informed, we ordered an iced cinnamon roll and devoured it while we waited for our entrees. The cinnamon roll was exquisite. The frosting was clearly home-made and fought to escape the bun as I consumed the allied, doughy goodness. To no avail; cinnamon, bun and frosting disappeared in a maelstrom of hunger and gluttony, leaving only crumbs and our embarrassed expressions in its wake. No worry. We had satiated the hunger generated from our morning trek and were now able to wait for our eggs in good humor. The Hollandaise sauce was creamy and savory in contrast to the frosting's sweetness. The different dressings for our eggs were equally satisfying, resplendent as they were atop a freshly-toasted English muffin. One thinks that Princess Diana would have approved of them, were she not anorexic and, you know, dead. All-in-all, the Kitchen at Windham Junction is a fitting oasis on the Windham Trail. Stop there and refuel your batteries as you try to stave off the inevitable victory of age, impairment and death. Call it a wash. read more

Worst breakfast I've ever had! After waiting 35 mins for breakfast I took my order to go. When I got to my place of business, I saw my order was not complete. They forgot the bacon. The food was mediocre. Nothing to write home about. But the potatoes is why I'm writing this review. White mold on a few. Disgusting! And several black spots on more than half of the potatoes. And hard as a rock. I get that the food is cooked to order but it doesn't take 35 mins to make an omelet. Prep cooks should pay a little more attention and throw away food that isn't supposed to be consume. read more

They have the best lunch specials and there sip n soups are amazing! They have great prices and I order take out on a weekly basis and my order is always ready soon as I get there. The staff is always so friendly and I work at a local business down the street from there and I tell everyone they have to try The Kitchen at Windham Junction! My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich and grilled chicken Caesar wrap! read more
