The waitress was nice, but I had several crackling egg shells in my omelette which really grosses me out. re: "Cynthia' s " on rt111 kindly prepare my omelette without egg shells. I crunched on at least five of them. It's very disconcerting. The latest trend in New Hampshire lately is charging you to use your credit card well, I use my credit card all the time and I'm not gonna pay you extra for any inconvenience. That's ridiculous. What an incentive !wont be back to your place. I don't carry cash so you won't see me there . you are the loser now somebody somewhere will take my credit card and not charge me extra as I already pay finance charge. I like going out for breakfast especially on the weekends. I tried a new place for me called Cynthia's in East Hampstead, NH. The place is clean and quaint. Very Homey. I ordered the Irish Benedict (called something else as they have all these cute names for their dishes. This was probably one of the best Irish Benedicts I ever had. The corn beef hash is homeade and is mostly all corn beef. Not too many fillers. SOOOO Good. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good breakfast. Nice menu choices as well read more

My wife and I LOVE to go out to Sunday breakfast. We've tried just about every one of them in a 40 mile radius, and then some. It took us a bit to get to you - but we're so glad we did. We immediately felt at home, welcomed and comfortable. I was passed by a delicious looking Bloody, and realized the second piece of the puzzle was here - a liquor license! Don't get me wrong, it's not NEEDED, but man oh man do they taste amazing. Right off the bat I settled in. We have a long standing tradition - try all the meats. There's been more than a handful of times we were put at a "normal" two seat table - and had to get a second one dragged over to help with all the food ‍ My wife usually gets some form of Benedict - she's a "light hollandaise" gal and can never seem to get that so she always gets it on the side. She cleaned her plate off and loved everything she had. Cynthia's opened recently in East Hampstead in the former Commodore Grill space at the Commodore Plaza off NH 121A near NH 111. This casual family owned and operated restaurant cafe serves up breakfast all day and lunch. The place was redone with a brighter and an inviting atmosphere with booths along the walls and in front, table seating in the center and counter seating in the dining area. There are patriotic prints on the walls and checkered floors remain. I've picked up Lebanese and Italian food from the previous restaurant in this space and it's bittersweet seeing a small town breakfast and lunch spot open up in its place. There are a few other options in this area, but spread out. I decided to stop by here for breakfast before work. I got here just before 6:30 and sat myself in a booth which had menus to look at. The breakfast menu offerings include breakfast platters, 3 egg omelettes, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, breakfast burritos, Tony The Tiger (frosted flakes French toast), hash (canned and homemade (soon)) and breakfast sides. The lunch menu offerings include fried appetizers, hand cut fries, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, soup, chili, salads, comfort dishes, and daily specials. The prices seem fair, most meals $8 to $15 range (in 2024). After I was seated, the server came over and offered a drink and I requested an ice water since I already had coffee beforehand. They did not have homemade hash yet, so I eventually decided to go with the Steak Bomb Omelette ($13.50 plus tax) with choice of toast (I chose sourdough) and one side (I got home fries). My food was served in about 8 minutes after ordering. There was a good amount of hot food on my plate. The omelette was filled with grilled shaved steak, green peppers, onions, mushrooms & cheese (I chose cheddar) with a folded thin egg sheet. This omelette was pretty good. The home fries were fresh cut potatoes (cube cut) lightly grilled and seasoned, which were potatoey and with the skins. The sour dough toast was firm and had minimal butter. The server dropped off the check as I was almost done eating, no rush. The check was $14.65 with tax and before tip. Overall, this is a good place stop for food and I plan to stop by for lunch next time since I saw they had chicken tenders, reubens, monte cristos, mac & cheese, and spaghetti & meatballs (Wednesdays). The friendly staff knew people by name as they stopped in for breakfast. The service for weekday breakfast was prompt and I was able to make to work on time. After hearing back from Cynthia's about being closed on Sundays, to give their staff a break and a chance to be with family, six of us decided to give them a try! Let me tell you, they were worth the trip!! The food was delicious, the service was top notch, and my coffee cup never ran dry! Their breakfast selection had something for everyone and their portions are pretty big, for the price! Went here for the first time today and came away very impressed. The ambiance, service and food were all exceptional. It was great being given large cups of coffee. There were three in my party and all were very satisfied with the meals. Very clean and well laid out, organized restaurant. We will definitely return, and will give it highest of recommendations. What a cute and homey restaurant! We were greeted immediately and sat quickly. The coffee was hot and tasty. I had an American cheese omelet with home fries, toast, and bacon. My husband had a steak bomb omelet as described in another review. We were served in under 10 minutes from ordering. We both cleaned our plates and were thrilled with the food. The home fries were yummy! Cynthia was bustling around, making sure everyone had what they needed. Definitely recommend and we will be back! read more
