We dined in for Father's Day brunch, and were able to be seated for our group of 6 about 15 minutes after arriving at 9am on Sunday. The pancakes were absolutely ginormous and deliciously spiced - perfect to share or bring home for a second meal. The diner is small and open so it gets pretty loud - be prepared to speak up to be able to be heard. The parking lot is a bit tight so if you're in a truck/large vehicle, I'd suggest backing into a spot so you can pull out more easily after you're stuffed full. read more

Great breakfast menu. We had the veggie omelette with sourdough and a fruit cup - omelette was nice and fluffy with lots of veggies and cheddar cheese. Fruit was really fresh. Also had the chicken salad which was really tasty. Super friendly staff and cute place, great service. read more

This was our second. First, just okay , nothing to write home about. Today everything was cold, for the both of us. Same breakfast too. Nothing warm at all. Sausages overcooked and cold. Asked for a overhard egg. . It came flat as a pancake and cold. When you pay 17:35 for 1 egg 1 Belgian waffle plain with 3 sausages you expect it to be worth it. Never going there again read more

We ordered the veggie omelet as a scrambler..fresh sauted veggies in perfectly cooked eggs we both liked it. The home fries were the delight of this plate. We had been looking for a place for lunch - not familiar with the area and doing some searching. Decided to try this place, and I was nervous just because we arrived a half an hour before they closed! The wait staff couldn't have been friendlier, (more people arrived after we did!) and the coffee was fabulous. A great, small town diner! The place is small, only a handful of tables, but it packs a punch in the food department. They serve breakfast all day, which I'm always a big fan of, so we of course tried some breakfast dishes. The eggs Benedict was so creamy and delicious. I tried an egg sandwich and the oatmeal with fruit. The oatmeal was well prepared and came with fresh cut fruit and delicious, thick honey on top. My egg sandwich was....amazing. The english muffin was homemade and is really what made the sandwich standout from any other I've had. It came with some potatoes which were crispy and tossed with an herb blend. Yum! This place is very small but the food is great!!! Great portions I had the veggie omelette it was huge and all the wonderful chunks of veggies all fresh and well cooked. The home fries are so good too great taste seasoned just right. My husband had the steak and eggs and the steak was so tender and juicy he loved it. I also like the toast it's white sourdough. Benson's is a diamond in the ruff. You would not expect the inside to be as quaint and spotless as it is. The staff is very friendly and attentive - refilling coffee before your cup is gone. The food is AMAZING!! I got a special omlet - all the ingredients were cut up into small pieces so you get one of everything in every bite. The omlets are huge (enough for 2 people) all the veggies are fresh. Homefries are red potatoes cooked and seasoned to perfection. The cook is super friendly, when he has time he comes out and conversates with the customers - all the staff is very down to earth. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area. I will definitely be going back - it is my new favorite breakfast spot. I cannot say enough..it was a delicious surprise. read more

Update 9/18/19: I honestly don't know how their food is always so greasy. I got an egg sandwich today thinking it would be safe. It wasn't. Literally dripping with grease. The food is yummy, without a doubt, but I can't get over the gross, greasy feeling I get after eating here. Let me start from the beginning; get the cinnamon roll, have them put it on the grill. You won't regret it, it's divine. The homemade hash was really good, I had it on the Benedict and wow! My boyfriend got an omelet, 3 eggs, they're huge! He said the bacon was especially good, tasted like a natural bacon, not one pumped with chemicals etc. The omelet was a bit greasy but not going to let that take away from the review. Overall, the experience was lovely. Very small inside so if it looks busy, it absolutely is. There's roughly 6 tables and only 4 barstools. Really a wonderful, small town place read more

The portion was large. We could have shared. I ordered side of baked beans which were god. I had the home fries. They were home made good, although a bit salty for me (watching my sodium intake). If we could give ten stars on here we would definitely give all ten. We had breakfast here this morning, first timers, and we will be back that's for sure. I got a Greek omelette but it was far better than any other Greek omelette I've had, it had spinach, tomato, onion, feta and artichoke, and every bite was loaded. My fiancé got the Irish benedict and it was the best benedict he's ever had. The hash was homemade on top of Portuguese style muffins and hollandaise sauce was perfect. We both got homefries which our waitress recommended and they were also 10/10. I have never written a yelp review and said from the start after just seeing our plates come out that this was going to be good. Looked for a new place for breakfast this morning and found Bensons here on yelp. The cafe was great..not crowded ...which actually kind of surprised me after I tasted my food...it was so good I'm a little shocked the place isn't pack full! Sat at the counter and saw the Benedict the woman next to me was having and knew right away we were in for a treat! I usually steer clear of hash expecting the canned stuff ..but not here! I got the Irish Benedict with homemade hash that was so good I was sorry I couldn't finish it all! The staff was great...chef even checking on us to see if we enjoyed the food. Delicious food! Excellent omelet with homemade corned beef hash, Florentine Benedict was delicious, and the homefries were delicious. The sourdough bread tasted homemade (it probably was, we didn't ask). My husband and I also got a coffee roll and it was amazing. They grilled it to warm it up and it was done perfectly. Everyone there was so nice and the cook even came out to see how we liked the food. I highly recommend eating here, we will be back!
