I crunched on at least five of them. It's very disconcerting. The latest trend in New Hampshire lately is charging you to use your credit card well, I use my credit card all the time and I'm not gonna pay you extra for any inconvenience. That's ridiculous. What an incentive !wont be back to your place. I don't carry cash so you won't see me there . you are the loser now somebody somewhere will take my credit card and not charge me extra as I already pay finance charge. I don't need an extra charge from you. Thanks though. Good luck. not bad overall .

121925 re:"the english muffin" maybe the chef changed?…read more I returned to the English muffin today very disappointed. The waitress was nice , but unfortunately, she didn't cook my meal. i didnt air my grievance but i was grossed out. no effort was made in the kitchen. i'm thinking while the cats away...bogus meals are born... I don't know how long the toast was sitting out before they decided to butter it, it arrived at my table with a big hunk of butter that never melted. Don't bother to butter cold toast, and re: the broccoli omelette with provolone cheese the provolone cheese never melted. It was a hunk of gunk, there were probably three pieces of broccoli in the entire omelette. no exaggeration. I was so disappointed and the hashbrowns -shredded potatoes had bad old grease taste. tasted like they've been lingering too long. Somebody in the kitchen should taste the food they're putting out. I've come here for years. This was the worst meal yet. don't think I'll be back. There's too many competitors out there. my niece had the vegetable omelette. She had the same problem with her provolone cheese and left her retching gagging, and therr were barely any vegetables in the omelette. Her home fries were old overcooked and inedible. Her toast also had the same wad of butter on it when she left to go home unmelted. it still hadn't melted . and they don't have refills on sodas. That ticked my aunt off. She likes a free refill. The manager and her son were off today. It was a Friday. Maybe it's just an off day but I can't mask my disappointment. It's a shame I used to really enjoy it there. The iced water was OK. I just can't take those old bubble vintage glasses from the 60s .are just nasty My imagination was aflame. my meal was a bummer. overall unpleasantness. too bad I put my toast under the potatoes and egg in an effort to make the butter melt. That became the purpose was the only use for the dismal omelet and potatoes as it melted the butter... well almost melted ...just weird. a real drag. wish i had slept in...footnote The food went thru poor Sandy 4x that hour.

My review is for the brand new location in downtown Haverhill. I have been to the Derry location…read moreand love that one, too. I went there with two friends last night, and we all had an exceptional experience. Addy was our wonderful server who was so sweet, attentive, and fun. She kept checking on us and brought us anything we needed. The manager also checked on us as well. I am a type 1 diabetic, so I asked Addy to check ingredients, which were fine with an adjustment. We all got their awesome risotto--what I LOVE about OTC is that they will sub in cauliflower rice for the rice in all of their risottos. That means I can order any of them-they have 8 kinds-and by subbing a lower carb food it allows me to enjoy the same things my friends had. I wish more restaurants offered a few things like that--zucchini noodles is another-that opens up the entire pasta section for me (if anyone at OTC is reading this). The whole menu is great, the location is fantastic, right on the Merrimack River, and the new parking garage is right across the street. I highly recommend - we will be going back soon for sure!

My friends had the salmon, mussels and calamari, and a steak tip salad-everyone loved their meals. For dessert we shared crème brûlée warm donut dessert with ice cream and whipped cream, which were amazing. Our server, Naomi, was the best-attentive, friendly, and sweet, always making sure we had everything we needed for a great dining experience. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night, which says a lot about how good it is. The two small cons: when I made the reservation on March 7, I included a note asking for a surprise birthday dessert for my friend Anita after the meal (I had planned to order the Swiss Chalet Cake), but it never arrived. Luckily we ordered the crème brûlée donut to share, which was fantastic anyway. I just wish reservation comments were reviewed so special requests like that can be carried out. Additionally, it was also a bit loud for a small restaurant, especially on a Tuesday night. Overall, everything was perfectly cooked and we'll definitely be going back again soon.

There are a few tables with chairs inside to enjoy your treats. They offer a selection of NH made & regional products, "penny" candy, homemade chocolates, fudge, freeze dried candy, coastal Maine popcorn, teas, honey, 30+ flavors of homemade ice cream/frozen yogurt/sorbet including vegan flavors (cones, bowls, waffle cones, sundaes, floats, freezes, frappes), smoothies, bubble tea drinks, refreshers, mocktails, coffee drinks, cooler drinks, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, lobster rolls (seasonal), homemade salads, clam chowder, pasta dishes, and seafood. They also offer specials here (check their Facebook). There were no fried foods at the time of this posting (on pause), though they previously offered fried seafood & fries. I placed an online DD order to Audet's very recently since I had a promo and credits to use. My order was all set to go in about 45 minutes after placing my order back at my home. I took my time to head over to East Hampstead for pickup. My order was just about ready as I arrived. I ordered the Clams (with shell) Scampi ($21.95), The "NH" Wich ($10.95) with chips and a Small Homemade Cucumber Salad ($3.50) and headed back home to enjoy my food. The scampi had 10 littleneck clams in the shells of soft butter garlic fettuccine noodles with a soft dinner roll and seasoned broccoli & carrots on the side. The NH Wich had homemade chicken salad with small tender chicken pieces, cranberries, red onion, celery, dill, light mayo mix & leaf lettuce on soft egg bread. I actually toasted the bread slices and put the sandwich back together before eating. The side of salted chips were crunchy. The homemade cucumber salad had fresh cucumber slices, shredded carrot & dill in a light vinegar dressing. Overall, all of the food I ordered on this visit was very tasty and fresh. I will definitely have to stop back in again for some ice cream and other food offerings.

**We found our new favorite spot!**…read more My partner and I stumbled upon Nan's Kitchen and what a delightful discovery it was! As first-timers, we were treated with such warmth and patience by the staff - no pressure, no rush, just genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. We started by sharing the hatch chili farro bowl with roasted cauliflower and hominy, fragrant ginger carrots, and lemon mustard salmon. The tomato harissa sauce and zhoug were absolutely incredible - seriously, these sauces are to die for! Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavors were so well-balanced. Pictures are not perfect, but the lighting was so warm and comfortable, you will have to excuse them! Halfway through our meal, I spotted they had coconut carrot soup with chickpeas and ginger on the menu and literally ran back to order a cup. We ended up sharing that too, and it was such a smart move - the soup was aromatic and comforting with just the right amount of spice from the ginger. To drink, we had fresh lemonade and iced tea (both perfectly refreshing), and couldn't resist finishing with their banana pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. What really stood out beyond the exceptional food was how accommodating and friendly the service was. They made splitting dishes feel completely natural and were so welcoming when I dashed back for that soup! The attention to flavor and seasoning here is remarkable - every single component of our meal was thoughtfully prepared. We're already planning our next visit. Nan's Kitchen has absolutely earned a permanent spot on our regular rotation! Highly recommend for anyone looking for fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared food with service that makes you feel like family.
