We dined here one evening. When we arrived, they said we could be seated and someone would come help us. It took several minutes, but we finally placed drink orders. There was mainly one server for dining area and a bar server. We asked some questions about menu and ordered. We chose our options which ranged from burger, tacos, and waffle fries with the toppings selected. The food was pretty good. The waffle fries & toppings weren't as flavorful but decent. Smash burger was pretty good...service was fine but not quick.

I enjoyed this version of the "build-your-own" concept: protein + base + "style". The protein (or veggie alternatives) were tasty. There were several bases that allow for different types of meals - bun, salad, tortilla, rice, and chips. The styles were all in the south/south-west flavor profile (bbq, Tex-mex, So-Cal...) Our family of four all enjoyed what we ordered - from southwest smash burger, to beef fajita rice bowl, and BBQ brisket nachos. We also enjoyed the beer battered fried ribs (a bit over the top with a TX fair-like feel) It's not cheap - but what is in this area? No complaints about service or atmosphere.

Excellent service! Fun making the various choices of protein, vehicle, and style. Tasty.

Saw this spot opened up and have been wanting to try it! Glad I did! First off the staff behind the counter were so hospitable and made GREAT recommendations! Also they have a kids menu so bring the kids! Food was phenomenal! I ordered the deep fried ribs and mayo fries as my meal and my wife got the brisket nachos with queso! There is a lot to be said for the queso! Flavors galore! Everything appears to be made from scratch and the ribs were so tender and juicy and drizzled with 6666 ranch BBQ sauce! Ambiance is fantastic and we sat outside on this beautiful fall Texas day! There's a full bar that's half outside and in. We will definitely be back on a date night. Y'all have to try this place out!!!

My husband and I recently visited KickBack BBQ in Plano, TX, and loved the whole experience, from the fun, relaxed atmosphere to our very delicious meal. You should definitely check this new place out. It combines all the scrumptiousness of fabulous barbecue with the greatness of Mexican food. Such unique combinations, and the options are endless. They will serve any meat on their menu with any type of bread: tortilla, bun, etc., or even on a waffle. The menu suggests several great options, but they will customize it to your liking. The sides are equally amazing. And for dessert, the Dr. Pepper cake is not to be missed! It is truly one of the best chocolate cakes we've ever tasted. If you're too full, order at least one piece anyway and share it with your date. Better yet, order separate pieces and bring some home! Also, can't say enough about the stellar service we received. The staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating! Five stars and two thumbs up!!!

This is the brisket so cal style nachos

The food was amazing, loved the location and was able to enjoy my food with a decent view. The chef did an amazing job at not only making to food, but also serving it. Genuinely a nice guy who deserves more business.

The best looking thing in the place.

She wanted to recreate a Mezcal drink that was phenomenal at Old Hickory in Gaylord hotel. From our description, the bartender tried her best to duplicate what we had. She came close, and we appreciated the effort, but we will have to return to Old Hickory to have it again. But the Mezcal drinks we had at Whiskey Moon were very good and we enjoyed them as a nightcap. The bar is located in the lounge of the Renaissance hotel. It is laid out nicely so there is ample seating at the bar or in the lounge. Service was friendly and professional. It's a bit pricey but I guess that is what vacations are for.

From the moment I walked in, Jasmine and Henry delivered exceptional service. Their friendly conversation, great sense of humor, and genuine hospitality made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. What stood out most was how they treated me, not like just another customer running up a tab, but like a valued regular, even though it was my first visit. That level of personal attention is rare and deserves recognition. Jasmine and Henry truly elevated the experience, and they are a big reason I'll be coming back.

For my birthday weekend, my family and I came to enjoy their most memorable and amazing Sunday brunch!! They had a live mariachi band for the first time and they were a complete vibe!! Omg, and Bad Bunny was on rotation as we were all getting ready for his Super Bowl appearance Lexi, our waitress, was so kind and served us well! Then, around 10pm, right after we'd gotten our drinks, a staff member came up and told us we needed to get up and took away our barstools. While I understand if the restaurant transitions into more of a bar at night and needs to remove seating, he was insincere and unapologetic about it. It immediately killed our conversation and vibe, and we left after one round. First and last visit.

They were not only beautifully crafted but absolutely delicious--each sip had us dreaming of swaying palm trees, ocean breezes, and a Hawaiian getaway. We loved both the Mai Tais and the Beachy Bookkeeper! We decided to share a few appetizers. The Meatballs al Forno was my favorite...packed with flavor and perfect for enjoying with friends over drinks. The Heirloom Tomato Burrata was okay however, the tomatoes didn't seem ripe and were hard and chewy. The Lobster in a Jar was tasty - on the pricey side if you ask me though... One of my favorite things about this spot is the ambiance. The lighting is low (and by low I am flat out dark where you almost can't see your hand in front of your face), creating a dark, cozy, and intimate atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind after a long day. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a date night, or simply looking for a place to escape for a few hours, the vibe here is spot on. The service was fantastic as well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, which only added to the experience. Tiki Tuesday has officially become one of my favorite weekly traditions. Great drinks, delicious appetizers, wonderful service, and a cozy atmosphere--what more could you ask for? I'll definitely be back next Tuesday for another little island escape. Walk in via J Theodore, the ohone booth is to the left. It's a cool novelty calling with a book name to enter via the book shelf. Once inside the speak easy area there were two seating options. The Library which is set away from the open lounge area and quieter or the lounge area with the bar. They would not let us pick our spot despite seating being available. We opted for the lounge area as the seat offered to us there was better to our preference. The tables are packed quiet tightly which i dont like personally but i get it. That tidbit aside it is definitely a cool environment. Service was really nice and the food we ordered was great. I presume it's the same menu as J Theodore so I'm going to have to try that now for a more restaurant style meal. This is a cool place to hang out and bring friends imo. Since we don't really drink we'll probably end up at the restaurant next time as it's not easy to eat on tiny tables. It's a bar/lounge after all.
