The Jetty is a great spot in Ocean Beach, especially if you're looking for a fun place to catch a game. I came here to watch the World Cup Final, and the atmosphere was great. I ordered The Burger, and it was juicy and flavorful. The fries were also very tasty. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we always had what we needed. The Jetty is definitely a place I would come back to!

The Jetty is a new OB neighborhood bar and grill that has replaced the former Voltaire Beach House. They are currently in a soft opening phase for the remainder of this month. There was no prominent signage on the side or the marquee of the suite which made it difficult to identify while driving down the street. I noticed only a few on-site parking spaces were available in the shared lot to the west of the building. A small outdoor patio with canopy covered tables was to the left of the sidewalk hostess stand. The inside had seating around a central bar and mainly high-top tables scattered around the rest of the room. Eleven items were listed on the one-page soft launch menu. Choices ranged from appetizers to sandwiches to entrees. The last offering was my choice which was the Baby Back Ribs. Four pork rib bones were coated with BBQ sauce and served with coleslaw and fries. The spuds were cut like thick chips before frying. The cup of ketchup on the side came in handy as the fries needed to be dipped before consuming because of their thickness. The ribs were glazed well, however I found the meat to be overcooked. It didn't fall off the bone and was dry underneath the sauce. The coleslaw was not overly sweet and was a palate cleanser. Until the menu expands after the grand opening, I rated my initial dining experience at The Jetty with 3.5 stars.

So far I've had the yuzu wings, nachos, fish and chips, tempura cauliflower everything has been delicious! Great staff too, and a comfortable space, organized well, outdoor seating as well, good stuff!!!

We were driving home and saw this restaurant finally opened so we had to stop in! On a mission to watch the FIFA games, this was the perfect spot. Nothing better than a well-designed indoor/outdoor restaurant. We stumbled in during the soft opening. Although there is a limited menu, it was OUTSTANDING. The fries were something we never expected to love so much- best in OB! We got a burger and it was cooked to perfection. Our server and the staff were all kind and welcoming. Can't wait to come back for their full open!

OB is ready for the Jetty! Stopped by for their soft launch opening and my taste buds LAUNCHED out of this world. Our server Amy M. deserves hazard pay for being able to manage my friends and I. The chicken sandwich was so big it needed its own zip code. Fries were crispy and crunchy - but Amy informed us it's a BYOHM (bring-your-own honey mustard) establishment. Luckily there's a convenience store nearby. Word on the street is once they fully open the sauce selection will be expanding so that promise alone is enough to make me come back. Nachos were solid. Asked for beef on the side because my dogs wanted to try some, they loved it too. Great job to Amy & The Jetty team - this is exactly what Voltaire needed. Unfortunately for my bank account, I will be coming back soon and often!

Instead of saying no, they just charged us for the kids' teriyaki bowl and served it in a full-size bowl for only $10, which was a nice surprise. The only downsides were the service and the drinks. It was really busy, so everything took quite a while, and our appetizers didn't come out until after our main food had already been served. Not the end of the world, just a little odd. The cocktails also left a bit to be desired since they were much stronger than they were balanced. Overall though, the quality of the food made up for it. I'd definitely come back for the sushi.

Music wasn't too loud and could be a cool spot for sunset in the evening. During the daytime however the service was pretty slow, took about 25 minutes to get food (two sushi rolls and a sandwich) during early afternoon hours despite the restaurant being only half filled. I don't know if this was because my order was a to go order but I felt that this took longer than it should have. Tried to pork katsu sandwich, tiger roll and dragons breath roll. This restaurant gets a nod for the creativity of the items and flavors selected across the board. The sandwich was the standout of this group despite the sour dough bread getting soggy midway through. Not the best place for sushi at this price point but it wasn't bad either. I would try other spots before returning again.

They apparently have happy hour all day on Sundays. I tried the peach mocktail and it was very yummy, so I appreciated the $5 off. For dinner, I ordered the branzino (the one on the menu and not the special). I was told while the one on the normal menu was $47, the special was $55 and the only difference between the two was the special would be lit on fire table side. I didn't feel the flames were necessary, so I skipped that. (However, the special did mention a sauce that I'm not sure was actually on the regular one, so I don't actually know.) A few minutes before the food came out, they asked if we wanted it all together or if it would be ok for my husband and our friends food to come out first since they were still finishing my fish. I said to just bring it out when it was ready, however they ended up bringing it out together anyway. The confusing part though, all of our meals weren't served warm? You'd think if they were waiting on mine to be done it would have been at least warm? It wasn't. The branzio was very plainly seasoned, tasted heavily of oil and was also somewhat dry? I got it with the whipped sweet potatoes, which was very creamy, which was unlike any way I've ever had sweet potatoes before, but they didn't taste particularly good? We each tried them and none of us could figure out what it was like, but we all agreed we didn't enjoy them. My husband got the arrecherea, it was fine, but also cold. The fries it came with was probably the best part, they were crispy even while being cold. Our friend got the stuffed Mediterranean Stuffed Pepper, his meal also wasn't warm, and he said some of the rice wasn't cooked all the way and it was hard. We also got the Puccia Bread & Spreads after seeing positive reviews. I normally love feta cheese, but the feta dip was kind of sweet? Same with the eggplant. The only spread that was good was the butter. Personally, I thought the bread was fine? But it was almost a bit doughy. Overall, we weren't very impressed with the meal. It had a lot of potential, but the food just didn't hit the mark.

Bartenders were cool. Nick was our fave though for sure. He made some mean cocktails. Solid liquor selection plus a list of cocktails to choose from. I initially ordered the something and picante (can't remember the full name) and found it to be way too sweet. Then switched to a basic Lalo with soda and lime to cleanse my palette. After tried their version of an espresso martini which was quite good but made with nitro brew and kahlua so a bit on the sweeter side. I ended the night with my fave drink though which was a Hugo spritz and it was perfectly balanced. Definitely will be going back, especially for the love band Sundays. Parking is all street parking.
