Perfect spot for a couple of beers and some chicken tenders. The tenders were super crunchy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, but the sauce was definitely the standout. SO good. Great casual spot to grab a drink and some good food. We'll definitely be back!
I always enjoy coming here for a beer and an app because the waiters and waitresses are really nice. I tried their spinach and artichoke dip which had chorizo but it needed a little more salt. The artichoke flavor wasn't really there and I could mostly taste the cheese and the corn. Overall, I would skip this dip next time
Stopped here after just touching down in SD! We had a couple drinks and a late lunch. The tacos were great, they had excellent flavor and were super filling. The guacamole was good but was lacking in flavor - would have loved to see a little more seasoning or focus on the flavor profile. Overall drinks were great and the restaurant is in a great location next to the beach! Would love to swing by for brunch.
I love duck dive for the vibes, food & staff but I came here with my friend yesterday on a Tuesday and was disappointed. Our server seemed new. I started off with the house margarita that was one of the specials. It was good and strong. My friend really wanted to try the spinach and artichoke dip. It was mid, really runny, not cheesy or flavorful. I wouldn't get it again. We both ordered a single carne asada taco. When our food was brought to us, we were given the carne asada taco plate that comes with 3 tacos each. On Tuesday, tacos are $5 each so that's all we wanted. Our server ended up charging us $5 for each taco and let us keep the rest. I hope when I come next, it's not disappointing again because I love duck dive!
I always have a great time here. It's not a luxury restaurant, but it doesn't need to be. The casual beach atmosphere is what makes this place special. It's perfect for relaxing with friends, enjoying fresh seafood, and soaking up the Pacific Beach vibe. The baked oysters are hands down my favorite in San Diego--they're the reason I keep coming back. The staff is always friendly, the service is great, and the weekend bottomless mimosas are a fun bonus. If you're looking for a place with delicious food and an easygoing beach atmosphere, this is it.
I went to The Duck Dive with a friend and we got some appetizers and drinks. I had the oysters and a mock Shirley Temple, and my friend got fries. Everything was really good, and I loved the overall ambiance of the place. It has such a fun, lively vibe. It was definitely pretty crowded, but the bartender made the experience so much better. I cannot remember his name, but he was genuinely one of the nicest people ever. He was super sweet and really helpful when it came to finding a non alcoholic drink option that I would actually enjoy, which I really appreciated. It is a little on the pricier side, but for the atmosphere, service, and overall experience, I would say it is definitely worth it.
This was my first time here. We came for a celebration in a large group. Our server Lauren couldn't have been nicer. We had two tables worth of people, and she consistently checked on us and made sure that our drinks were refilled. Service could not have been better. I will definitely be back.

Duck Dive in PB has become a birthday tradition for many of my friends, especially for weekend brunch and bottomless mimosas and for that reason alone, it's worth it. If you're celebrating with a group, the bottomless option delivers: bottles keep coming, and with a big party, some servers will even drop off two bottles at a time and keep them rotating. That said, the food and customer service could use some improvement. I understand how extremely busy weekends can be, so I went back during the week to see if my opinion would change but unfortunately, the food still took a very long time to arrive. Overall, I'd say yes to the bottomless mimosas, especially for birthdays or group celebrations, but be prepared for slower service. The experience really depends on your server, and while the vibes are fun, consistency in service could definitely be better.
The Bloody Mary was wonderful, the service was great, and our server was awesome. Overall just a really nice chill spot with a good vibe. Would definitely come back.

Came here for Galentines Brunch. I got the Dagwood Sandwich (bottom of picture). The sandwich was great. The bread was extremely crispy and buttery. The cheddar cheese melted greatly with the eggs. Avocado was fresh. The potatoes could've used more spices and flavors though. The mimosas we had were soooo good. We got Guava and Orange Juice with our champagne. Overall good time, you always kinda know what you're getting into at Duck Dive. It delivers

My group and I had a wonderful experience here for bottomless brunch today!! I thought our server was such a standout. She was extremely attentive and noticed when people arrived to the table late, she brought out menus and waters for them right away. Very impressive considering how busy it was. I noticed how observant she was when our alcohol ran out and she always had a new one on standby. I was so impressed by the shrimp ceviche, it was something new I tried. I loved the fresh flavors of the lime and onion. It was a good portion, light and refreshing. I would definitely order it again! read more

A perfect spot for great food and bottomless mimosas with your friends! Came here with a party of 4 on a Sunday Food 5/5: I got the dagwood sandwich and if you like garlic bread, this is a must! The flavor was phenomenal and paired well with the side of potatoes. My boyfriend got the eggs benedict and he enjoyed it as well. I really enjoyed how they gave guava juice and orange juice for the mimosas. My mango cocktail was super strong though which unfortunately is just not my cup of tea but the presentation was great. Service and ambiance 4/5: We sat out on the patio which was a pretty cramped space. Service was quick and they had another bottle of champagne ready for us right as we finished one. We have been coming here for years, especially for the weekend bottomless mimosas. They have great brunch, fun drinks and we just discovered they have Oysters Rockefeller! Definitely a PB staple. It can get crowded on weekends and evenings with lots of young, college kids, but during the week is a bit quieter. read more
Duck dive really lives up to the hype. This sandwich was absolutely fantastic and enough to feed two people. I had an espresso martini (or something along those lines), and really enjoyed it. Went during a padres game, it wasn't super busy. We got seated right away and our drinks came within 5 minutes. Overall everything was okay, I would say our service was better than the food. The shrimp tacos were unseasoned/had little to no flavor. The fries were nice and crispy, but didn't hold the garlic or the Parmesan. My friend picked out Duck Dive for brunch- it was close to our VRBO and he's a fan of unlimited mimosa brunch. We didn't make a reservation but didn't have to wait long for a nice outside patio table during peak brunch hours to accommodate our party of 8. Seems like this place was always busy even outside of brunch hours. If you opt for unlimited mimosas, you have 2 hours and must order an entree - so you're looking at ~$40ish for a meal before tips. You also must wear a wristband. Pro tip- they do not charge large parties to pay a large group surcharge like some places do around town. #GoodForGroups Our server Lauren was amazing, and it was nice to chat with her especially since she used to live in AZ. She definitely kept an eye on those champs bottles when we needed a refill (PTL, it wasn't the cheap Korbel champagne). Food came out hot and hit just the spot for all of us- most ordered a brunch bowl or something breakfast specific. My chicken fingers were some of the best I've ever had.. even better than the Lord's Chicken. read more

We went in for a Sunday brunch and were the first ones in the building. Food was hearty and delicious and the service was great! Our table had more than enough room for our party of 3 and a stroller. It does get REALLY busy, especially on a Sunday morning, so expect to wait unless you've made a reservation. read more

Perfect place for a weekend brunch with a group of friends. Best to make reservations ahead of time or it could take an hour or more to be seated. Favorite place for bottomless mimosas as they provide bottles for the table instead of serving glass by glass. Depending on how busy it is service could be a little slow and could take a little while to receive food. read more
Staying at the Pacific Terrace Hotel, we were in the pool and wanted food and drinks. So the bartender took our drink and food orders. The chicken tacos were a smooth 9/10. Easily. Great flavor and texture. The spicy chicken sandwich was a disappointment. It wasn't nasty at all. It just wasn't what I expected. It wasn't spicy at all. And it was overly breaded and too crispy. Perfect weekend brunch spot! The $20 bottomless mimosas can't be beat, and the service is great! It TRULY is bottomless. The food is yummy, i've had the ABC omelette, breakfast burrito, and french toast and have no complaints! And the vibes are great inside always with fun music (albeit a little loud). Came here for an after hot pilates meal. The drink was decent and the food was just alright. The spinach artichoke dip tasted more like nacho cheese dip with spinach in it. The hot chicken sandwich was good and the steak was good as well, a little burnt on the edges. My friend and I chose to stay for trivia and we got a free round of shots for answering a very hard question right and we ended up winning the game. We got a $50 gift card. It was a Wednesday night so it was half off wine bottles. My friend got a bottle of Malbec for $44, which is expensive if you ask me. Overall, will probably not come back. May do another trivia night here but that's about it. Service was good and the vibe was not bad. We sat outside during the afternoon so i recommend a jacket since it is so close to the ocean. read more
Their Great Dickens holiday pop-up was fun, especially their giant Santa head punch bowl. However, nothing was spectacular. And unfortunately, service was not great the day we went, womps -- they forgot our orders a couple times. A little disappointed by their Rockefeller oysters (expensive too!). But the space is nice, and they're in a part of PB with easier parking. So although I wouldn't explicitly seek this place out, if someone wanted to go, I'd be fine with tagging along. read more
