Came with a large group. All our food was fresh and yummy and the drinks were flowing! Ryan was such a doll and was super attentive!

We are visiting from out of town and decided to eat here for our first meal. Outdoor seating was very nice. The staff were friendly. We ordered the stuffed shrimp and daily ceviche for our appetizers, delicious! Best part of the meal. We also ordered the seafood enchiladas and chile relleno Del Mar. These were both described to have shrimp, lobster, and fresh fish. Unfortunately only one of these ingredients was included. Both had only shrimp and IMITATION CRAB. The imitation crab made up the bulk of the filling. Had we known that that was an ingredient, we would've ordered something else. Luckily neither my husband nor I were allergic to it. It really should be listed in the menu description. We were pretty disappointed about it.

Came here with a group of friends. I had never been but my friends that invited us had, they said it's their go to spot. It was good vibes seated inside. We all really enjoyed our food and our margs. It was a little expensive for main dishes. Our server seems new and she was very kind!

Came to pick up to.gp food and the waiter was so nice. He was friendly and got my order quickly. The setting is nice with a full bar and rooftop patio that seems to be for private parties and a ground level patio for dining with nice plants. Inside has tvs and cool artwork. I'm easy so chips and salsa and good food and drinks I can wait a second for a table and a server. Not for type a jerks.

Loved the Mexican food here. The chips and salsa are so yum. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. The servers messed up on several parts of our order (wrong drinks, wrong dish, brought out meals at separate times) but besides that it was good.

PUEBLO @ PACIFIC BEACH Parking is street-only and paid, but my friends and I were able to find a spot around 6:30 PM on a Thursday. It was fairly busy, but manageable. I had never been to this spot before, so I was excited to try something new. The restaurant has a modern vibe with nice decorations outside, including a Christmas tree and dimmed lights. It serves more Americanized Mexican cuisine rather than authentic dishes. We were seated inside and given menus along with chips and salsa. The chips were tasty, with a paprika seasoning I enjoyed, but the salsa was very mild and watery. I ordered the beer-battered fish tacos, which cost about $20 for three tacos, $6 each taco. My friend, who has a cilantro allergy, struggled to find something on the menu and ended up having the fish tacos with some modifications. Unfortunately, the tacos themselves were disappointing. They were dry, lacked flavor, and had too many toppings that overpowered the fish. There weren't limes served, and extra sauce came at an additional $1, which felt unusual for a Mexican restaurant. Overall, the food wasn't very fresh or flavorful, and it felt overpriced for what it was. On the positive side, our server was extremely nice and accommodating, even helping adjust my friend's dish and bringing a brownie ice cream cake for her birthday. The staff were friendly overall, and the restaurant was clean and modern.

Cute little Americanized Mexican spot with seafood highlights. My friend and I called in here to order take away on Super Bowl Sunday and drove up to find that the restaurant was nearly empty at 3pm. The waiter that helped me with my order was extremely nice and we only had to wait a little. Their menu was a little confusing as online, it looked as if their take away/delivery options were different than their dine-in menu. The salsa was not a huge portion, but was my favorite thing about our meal. Roasted peppers had a really nice flavor! The guacamole was a much larger portion and was also great. Because we also ordered seafood ceviche (which was halibut), they gave us a ton of fresh chips. The chips weren't very seasoned but felt fresh, so we enjoyed them. The ceviche was pretty good but not super noteworthy. My friend ordered beer battered tacos, which she said were pretty good, and we each had an order of the Tijuana street corn (off the cob) which was yummy. Overall, the food was pretty good, but was definitely expensive for what we got. The inside of the restaurant looked pretty large though, and there seemed to be TVs at the bar playing different sports channels, so I could see this being a really solid option for those wanting to dine in conveniently in the area.

This is my niece's favorite spot whenever we're visiting San Diego, and we really enjoyed her pick. Everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented. The tacos were packed, the rice and beans were solid, and the seafood dishes were fresh with just the right amount of spice. The ceviche-style dishes were bright and refreshing, and the cocktails were fun without being overly sweet. There were a couple of minor hiccups with unclean silverware and glasses, but they were quickly replaced with clean ones without any issue. One thing to note: when there are large groups drinking, the volume can get pretty loud, so it's not the quietest spot during peak times. That said, the atmosphere is still lively and fun, the service was attentive, and we would probably go to this place whenever we're in town again.

Pueblo is a Mexican restaurant in Pacific Beach! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and an oasis in the heart of Pacific Beach. The food is spot on! Happy hour from 3-5pm is excellent in quality and price. We had house margaritas followed by happy hour menu choices! Both were outstanding! Our server was attentive and expedient. We enjoyed our menu choices and the rockfish ceviche was a standout dish. The restaurant is modern and comfortable. Excellent fish tacos! They have a free parking lot and free street parking! You won't be disappointed!

Margs were great and I enjoyed the chips and salsa as well. I tried the ceviche and wasn't a huge fan, but I would be curious to try some different things off the menu and see how they taste!

My friend lives down the street & had been meaning to try this spot out -- we both loved it! The ceviche with shrimp was excellent, perfectly citrusy and the veg served as dippers was fresh and a perfect amount for dipping. Obviously the plating is gorgeous as well! Also, my friend ordered tacos & didn't realize there was beans on them, so she mentioned it to our waiter and they replaced them without beans -- they did not need to do that at all, and it was sooo nice of them. He also made a pornstar martini per her request & made it fabulously. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu items.

Are your chips, beans, rice, and enchilada sauces vegetarian? Is lard, chicken stock etc used?

Most items on our menu are not vegetarian. You asked about the beans. The refried beans are not vegetarian, but the black beans are. Most of our sauces are vegetarian. Check out our Vegan / Vegetarian section of our menu. You will find it on…

    Dog friendly? Rooftop open?

Dog friendly in the outdoor Courtyard on the ground floor. Rooftop is open this week after 5pm on…

Are the chips in a shared fryer with non-GF items?

    Yes, sometimes.

Are you ADA accessible on the patio? How about the rooftop?

Definitely on the lower level patio, & think I remember an elevator to rooftop dining. Not 100%, but call Pueblo to be sure. Both areas are lovely

Are bottomless carnitas tacos and bottomless mimosas still being offered on Sundays?

Hannah, thank you for asking, but those are promotions that we ceased a couple of years ago. Mark

Is there a bottomless mimosas for brunch?

No. In the past we have offered them, but too many people would get sick from overdrinking, so we stopped serving them. Thanks for asking. Mark

    How's the parking situation?

We have our oun parking lot on the west side of the building. It is not very big, but there are a couple of pay lots across the street.

Are you allowed to make large reservations?

    yes

Can you see the water from rooftop seating?

A peak ocean view over the Rooftops. We are two blocks from the ocean. Mark

Do they only have the taco tuesday deals during happy hour?

We are not doing any special promotions while we have covid restrictions in place for restaurants.…

Would I be able to make a reservation specifically for rooftop dining?

Yes. The Rooftop is usually available on Tue., Thurs., Fri., and Sat. nights. Mark

Anyone else have trouble ordering via grub hub? It has been 3-4 hours. :/

We are sorry, but we are unaware of any issues between Grubhub ordering and Pueblo. You can always order from our website and receive free delivery at pueblopb.com.

    What is the corkage fee?

$15 per bottle. Thank you for your inquiry! Mark

Any vegetarian options in a hidden menu?

Yes, there are a number of vegetarian options that we provide upon request. The most popular choice is probably our grilled vegetable tacos. We are working on a separate menu for vegetarians and vegans, and should have that out soon.

Do you have late night music/dj on the patio? I thought I heard this was in the works...

Hi Michelle, we are currently still working on this. We will let everyone know once it is in play. Thank you so much for your interest in Pueblo!

    Is Pueblo dog friendly?

Yes, our outdoor patio is pet friendly! We hope you and your pup will be joining us soon!

Best turkey sandwich. Get the turkey sandwich…read more Okay other stuff... sandwich comes with a side and you should get the cauliflower salad to go with it. It's a big place with multiple indoor/outdoor seating options. Cute. We ate there every morning for breakfast because it's the best option nearby and opens early. It has baked goods, all do the coffee options, a full bar that opens later in the day, and good prepared meals. Didn't like the waffle as much as I thought I would, maybe 4 or 5 on the star scale. The fruit, whipped cream, and syrup for it were solid. My friends tried chai bowls, fresh fruit, banana bread, breakfast burritos, and other pastries if not enjoying the (delicious!!!) turkey sandwich. I did find myself wishing there were fresh juice options. A fresh OJ or green juice would have hit the spot and I couldn't find plain fresh squeezed I the area. All and all, super delighted by this find and scores a 5.

I will preface this review with the acknowledgment that this is the epitome of first world…read moreproblems. I actually love this place (I could have sworn I had reviewed positively before). I'm just extremely disappointed with how poor my experience was today because I had only super positive experiences previously and was looking forward to dining there this morning after sometime away, but holy hell ....today's experience has been so profoundly bad. Firstly, my husband ordered two breakfast burritos - one with bacon and the other with bacon on the side. I'll chalk this one up to miscommunication, but they put bacon in one, and bacon in the other too - and then added bacon on the side to the other and charged us $5.50 for the extra bacon. Again, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here and will be sure to communicate explicitly next time. They kindly made me a new one, but the new one had potatoes that weren't cooked thoroughly (likely to rush the food to me, so I acknowledge the difficulty here), however there was hardly any avocado. I literally had to complain again because I didn't believe there was any avocado at all. I wouldn't be as pissed if this weren't an EIGHTEEN DOLLAR breakfast burrito. Lastly, the coffee lids don't fit on the cups. We tried to put one on and ended up spilling the entire coffee. I chalked this up to an accident on our part, however another patron who observed our incident said "their lids don't fit the cup, right??" And I was like "oh so it wasn't just us??" And she was like "no, I almost spilled mine all over too." This random patron encouraged us to ask for a new cup of coffee as a result (thanks, random patron!). The Molly's team did kindly make us a new (albeit quite bitter) drink, which I appreciate. However, the lid was still an issue - it would spill out of the cup all over the rim between the cup and the lid when I'd try to take a sip, so I took off the lid entirely, but then was stuck with dealing with spills while walking around - I had to move at a snail's pace to prevent spills altogether. This was easier to deal with random leakage around the entire cup every time I'd sip with the lid on. Ultimately It was just a lose-lose with the ill fitting lid situation. All this to say - Molly's Team, yall were fantastic just a month ago. What happened? I understand food and services in the beach area stuff are often expensive and rarely good, but you guys are *too* expensive for this poor of service and quality. Two stars because at least the folks there are generally nice.

At the time we came in there weren't many people, but a crowd started gathering after about 30 minutes or so, which was nice! Our food came out - with a decent amount of wait time - and it looked great! We ordered a couple of cocktails from the menu as well, which we got right away. I had gotten something similar to an Espresso Martini, but the drink fell short in both the taste and the presentation. My beer battered fish tacos were good, but nothing extraordinary. I believed they lacked a bit of taste...perhaps seasoning? The jam burger on the other hand, extremely juicy and flavorful! The fries were nice and crispy & seasoned. Overall, the food and drink were a bit inconsistent, but it may also very well be the items I ordered. For that, I'm docking it one star, but again it may come down to my taste buds and previous items I've had from other grills. I'd definitely give it a try, again, and keep exploring their menu.

They apparently have happy hour all day on Sundays. I tried the peach mocktail and it was very yummy, so I appreciated the $5 off. For dinner, I ordered the branzino (the one on the menu and not the special). I was told while the one on the normal menu was $47, the special was $55 and the only difference between the two was the special would be lit on fire table side. I didn't feel the flames were necessary, so I skipped that. (However, the special did mention a sauce that I'm not sure was actually on the regular one, so I don't actually know.) A few minutes before the food came out, they asked if we wanted it all together or if it would be ok for my husband and our friends food to come out first since they were still finishing my fish. I said to just bring it out when it was ready, however they ended up bringing it out together anyway. The confusing part though, all of our meals weren't served warm? You'd think if they were waiting on mine to be done it would have been at least warm? It wasn't. The branzio was very plainly seasoned, tasted heavily of oil and was also somewhat dry? I got it with the whipped sweet potatoes, which was very creamy, which was unlike any way I've ever had sweet potatoes before, but they didn't taste particularly good? We each tried them and none of us could figure out what it was like, but we all agreed we didn't enjoy them. My husband got the arrecherea, it was fine, but also cold. The fries it came with was probably the best part, they were crispy even while being cold. Our friend got the stuffed Mediterranean Stuffed Pepper, his meal also wasn't warm, and he said some of the rice wasn't cooked all the way and it was hard. We also got the Puccia Bread & Spreads after seeing positive reviews. I normally love feta cheese, but the feta dip was kind of sweet? Same with the eggplant. The only spread that was good was the butter. Personally, I thought the bread was fine? But it was almost a bit doughy. Overall, we weren't very impressed with the meal. It had a lot of potential, but the food just didn't hit the mark.

Absolutely phenomenal. I've been in San Diego all week and have eaten at several restaurants, and…read morethis was by far the best meal I've had. The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. I actually stumbled upon this place by accident after I first stopped at Ms. B's Coco Shop down the block, but they had closed their kitchen a little earlier than I expected. Shaq recommended I give this place a try and even walked me over to introduce me to Ben. Ben gave outstanding seafood recommendations, was incredibly friendly, and knew the menu inside and out. I was already leaning toward what I ordered, and he reassured me I was making a great choice. His knowledge of the menu and genuine hospitality made the experience even better. The lobster and shrimp roll was hands down the best I've had in years. The mahi slider was just as impressive--perfectly seasoned, lightly breaded, and fried to perfection without the excessive batter that so many places use. Every bite let the fresh fish shine through. The atmosphere was exactly what you'd want from a beach bar--laid-back, welcoming, and fun. It felt like the kind of place where you could spend the day at the beach, walk over for a drink and some amazing food, and just relax. The entertainment setup was impressive too, with huge TVs and a really cool in-wall fireplace-style display. I can only imagine this place is the spot to be on game day. Overall, this is now at the top of my list whenever I'm craving seafood in San Diego. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

Stopped by Guava Beach on a walk with friends to grab a margarita and was not disappointed!…read more This spot is a great stop during the day in Mission Beach! In addition to classic margaritas, Guava Beach also has a variety of unique margaritas! I ordered the Pink Dragon made with Nosotros Reposado, Triple Sec, dragon fruit syrup, Guava Beach's own custom-made margarita mix with a black lava salt rim and topped with a dragon fruit wheel garnish - sooo good! They also have an extensive cocktail list. We got some appetizers, including the waffle fries (massive portions) and chips and guacamole, which were both delicious! Definitely will be back to try more margs soon!
