First time at FIT Social and I came on a day pass. Parking was very small and limited, and getting into the entrance was confusing -- more direct instructions would definitely help. If you want a chance at a seat, get here really early. We arrived right at noon (when they open) and it was already super packed. We ended up laying out in the turf area with no shade, which was fine, but just a heads up if you're hoping for a chair or table. The day pass price is pretty cheap, and the overall quality matched that price point. What was disappointing was that the women's sauna was shut down -- this was the main reason we came, to recover and use the sauna. It would be great if they notified people before booking, because I would've chosen a different day had I known. The vibe felt more like a fit, calm day‑club or pool‑party vibe (minus the pool). I was expecting more of a recovery and relaxing atmosphere, but this wasn't that. They do give you a water bottle and towel, which is nice. There's also a bar and food area with a mix of healthy options and alcoholic/non‑alcoholic drinks. I'd recommend figuring out how to better accommodate day‑pass guests alongside FIT gym members so everyone can enjoy the space. Finally had a chance to check out For social - newest beach club in San Diego. As a gym member I was able to use lounge chairs without any minimum spend. Love the club area, lots of lounge chairs, tables and chairs for dining, bar area and also tall tables if you need to work. Menu is on the healthier side and not too expensive. Difficult to find parking in July, but understandable. WiFi not working. read more

My crew and I are a huge fan of this venue. We love to come and watch DJs who come to SD. The biggest plus is being right on the water to view the ocean, especially during sunset sets. The new addition of the black fencing really kills the vibe. For folks who come and pay the price of admission it's a definite buzz kill. I understand wanting to keep the non paying bystanders on the beach from watching but that's at the expense of paying customers. Any chance this can be revisited would be awesome. read more

I see people on here complaining about a $17 salad, but they're clearly not from San Diego. $17 for a salad is right on par. This place is incredible. The views, the healthy menu, it's very relaxing to go here during the work week to eat and work. The staff is always friendly and clearly very happy. The only thing I would change is getting a TV behind the bar or in the cabanas for sports games, but I think that's part of the unplugged/healthy thing they have going. So maybe I wouldn't change a thing. I'm also a member at Fit Athletic so I get a discount which is a nice touch. Met the owner at one of the events and seems like a great dude. Was meeting a large group of gals for a girls weekend and we picked Fit Social as our meet up place. Such a cute place, the sandy walk up, the seating, everything was so laid back but clean and super aesthetic. I had a Mexican candy shot, a blackberry mojito mocktail, and split the KO Fries with a friend. The shot was delicious, the mojito refreshing, not overly sweet. And those fries? OUT OF THIS WORLD! The jalapeño sauce was heavenly, the fries a perfect in between of crispy and chewy. This place was a perfect meet up spot with a great view of the beach. I usually don't like to eat at Belmont Park because I feel like most of the food options here are mid at best and mostly tourist traps. I have had bad experiences especially with the Draft House. Fit Social has a great ambiance with a relaxing beachside vibe and friendly service. They have some good cocktail options and zero-proof drinks. I was also surprised by how good the food turned out. Great place to eat if you're having a day at Belmont Park or just walking the board walk. The main thing this place is lacking is options for kids, but I think that's kind of what they're going for here. It's more catered for adults. Prices are also surprisingly not all that different than other restaurants. You'd think it'd be wildly more expensive because of the location but it's pretty comparable to most other restaurants. read more

I recently purchased a ticket for kettama's show at this venue I took atleast at 10 hour drive to come for the show and dance with my friends at beach show. Unfortunately when I arrived inside my beach view was blocked by a big black fence. My first time at a beach and for one of my favorite artists to be ruined by this venue just trying to block people outside from "looking inside". I believe the fence does nothing but ruins people that actually spent their money and time to come for a beach show and sunset to only see a black fence up. On a another note I feel tickets were oversold the venue is to small and people could be way to crazy for the limited space we have to dance I couldn't even pull my phone out to record a video let alone take a picture of the sunset with the big black fence in the way. Decided to stop here after skating on the board walk. This new extension of fit athletic club seems like a beach club you'd see somewhere in another country. Beach chairs, bars, etc. It was pretty empty but very clean. I do enjoy that the menu is very health oriented. I had the ahi tuna. It was pretty bland and lacked flavor. My friends had the pesto chicken wrap and they really liked it, Overall, not sure how great of a business move this was for them but we shall see. Staff was nice and good service. read more

The menu is definitely on the 'healthy' side, but they do have options like wings and fries for folks that haven't fully 'converted' to the fit brand. Also the cocktails are great - bartenders and staff are quick, responsive, and super friendly. The view and peace is phenomenal. They'll also play great music on high quality speakers - bass isn't too high either during the day so a pleasant experience even with dogs around. I'm a member at fit so I've been getting promotional messages about this opening for a while. From the advertising I thought it would be a lot bigger. Overall pleasantly surprised. We first came on a Saturday to lay out and day drink. Food was delicious and not crazy expensive. They also had St. German Saturdays going on with promotional tasting and drink specials. Some tables and chairs are open to fit members otherwise require a $35 minimum. I ordered the salmon bowl and my girlfriend got the chicken pesto wrap. We loved both and ended up sharing. My first few experiences here were amazing, enjoyed a beautiful sunset and music each day, drinks were okay but the venue itself is one of the best I've ever been to. I came back this weekend and was really upset to see that they kind of totally destroyed the whole experience by putting a giant fence up that blocked the view of the boardwalk and sunset. It was my understanding that the show I went to was completely sold out, so it seems like the venue is really just that desperate to stop people on the beach from being able to look inside rather than considering the people who actually paid a lot of money to be there?? I'd like to return whenever the venue can start thinking of their actual customers more. I would 100% rather see people passing by on the boardwalk than a giant black fence I just feel like this decision was very wrong and I hope the venue can consider changing their policy to accommodate their guests, the location is a big part of what makes this venue worth going to in the first place.. read more

Usually visit this place for the CRSSD concerts but decided to try lunch here. Overall a great vibe, right next to the beach with a lot of people coming in to have drinks or food by the bar area or on the high tables. There were also quite a few people sunbathing and a DJ playing some music. The food was average. We ordered salmon plate, fish tacos and ahi tuna crudo. The ahi tuna crudo was delicious with corn salsa and bits of jalapeño providing a good kick of heat. The salmon bowl was also delicious, cooked well and tasty. The fish tacos were really tiny, felt a bit smaller than the Mexican street tacos but I may be wrong on the size. Regardless they were too small to fill me up so I also ordered some chicken wings. This location was recently renovated and it seemed like their staff was new as well. We reserved a plunge table for the Joe Kay dj event, but it was far in the back and was not worth the minimum for the table (it also took the staff 30min before we were seated). They offered to upgrade our table if we pay more, so we decided to upgrade our table to the risers, it took the staff another 50 minutes before we were seated because they had issues with the ipads and it seemed like no one was communicating with one another. The set itself was the great, but I hope the staff and management will be able to improve their services because we wasted almost an hour and a half just for our seats and drinks read more

I love fit but I decided to go down after my workout to get a protein shake and my experience was not what I expected it to be. Nobody working was welcoming. The host told us to go to the bar to order and after standing there for about a minute with only one other guy sitting down I had to ask to see a menu. Seemed like everyone was just kind of pissed to be working. I ordered two chocolate shakes and after the 20% off discount they were about $12 each for 16oz. Shakes came out barely blended and nothing about it was cold. It was about 3/4 full and very chunky and warm. Not the guys fault who made it but damn. After paying $200 a month for a membership you'd think they could nail a protein shake. I mean it was warm... slightly concerning. Hoping they fix the recipe because as a luxury gym you gotta be able to make a good protein shake. read more
