The catfish was crispy and well-cooked, but I would have loved to see a signature sauce that really elevates the sandwich and makes the flavors pop. As for the fried chicken, it was cooked perfectly--juicy and tender--but could use just a bit more seasoning. I'm not looking for "healthy" fried chicken, just that bold, flavorful kick! A great place and a great experience! What made it even nicer is that it's right in my community. The food was really good--more than we (my wife and I) could've hoped for. I had the catfish and grits, while she chose the chilaquiles. We really enjoyed our meals (see attached photos). It says a lot for my wife as she's very picky. The service was very nice. This is very important to us as we're people people. Everyone was very nice, and our server was great. We enjoyed laughing and talking with her. We even got a chance to meet, chat with, and joke around with the owner. One of the things the owner mentioned is that he hired from within the community. We that was a plus. The ambiance was great. I visited the ingredients over the weekend and my experience was fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly, she checked on us often and the food was sooo good! Came here with my grandson we had shrimp grits, breakfast burrito, pancakes, waffles and eggs hooked up with cheese/green onions. The food was very delicious, tasty and nicely seasoned. Great service, felt very welcoming once we entered the door. I loved the warmth vibe I received. My grandson is 12 and he spoke highly of the service and food.
