I saw this place on IG and decided to check it out for breakfast with a couple of friends. From the moment we walked in, the place was lively and busy, which is always a good sign. We were greeted right away, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the Cajun salmon burger, one friend got the chilaquiles, and the other ordered the lemon pepper catfish. Everything was phenomenal. The food was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The whole atmosphere is great. I'm at the new location at El Segundo & Crenshaw. This location has plenty of parking like the onevin compton. This one is much larger and they will definitely be very busy because of all of the business here in this area. Pleasant service when we were seated and when server, Ashley, took our order. And the food came out in good time! No longer waiting, hot and together: always a plus for me! And it was good!! We got two DIY bowls and the highlights were: The perfectly crusted salmon, greens that my grams would be proud of, yes the cauliflower is all it's cracked up to be, the jollof rice is perfection, and the sleeper that was unexpectedly the star, the black eyed peas! Worth mentioning: the honey jerk chicken, & candied bacon crumbles. Yes the parking sucks, big deal. We parked at the library since it's closed for renovations. There's a park down the street with shade and picnic tables that was the perfect place to picnic. The best surprise: three sizes of fully compostable bowls, lids, and side containers. A medium was perfect for me and a large was great for my friend. Love that we got to choose our portion size and price! From top to bottom, the vision of Urban Comfort Foods shines clearly through. It's a delicious place to fill your belly and their mission will fill your heart. Can't wait to go back!
