The waffles were soft, cinnamon forward (unexpected) and tasted good. Pancakes were slightly undercooked and flat, not fluffy but the taste was okay. The grits LOOKED good but oh boy. I've never had lumpy grits until now. They tasted of unsalted water and nothing else. Yuck! and I love grits. We requested the scrambled eggs "soft" they were tough and had no butter flavor. The boiled eggs had a light green ring around the yolk and it crumbled when cut into. IYKYK. The potatoes were some frozen squares with a seasoned coating. So, when "smothered" the coating started to separate from the potatoes. It was odd. However, the vegetables they added to the potatoes were tender and well cooked. The star of the meal was the proteins (minus the eggs). The catfish and bacon were both perfect. Whoever was on the meat station needs to takeover the griddle and grits. We ate the meat and left everything else after tasting it. The mgr came over and asked how everything was. When I told her about the grits she said "oh no. Do you want me to tell them in the kitchen"? Ummm do you WANT to tell them because we're not eating this. She just walked away. Guess she didn't want to. Okay ‍ As for the ambience, well it's located in a dingy looking strip mall. The interior looks clean but had no health rating posted in the window. A little scary but we gave them the benefit of the doubt based on the visible cleanliness. They had nice music playing and the staff was pleasant. If you live in or near the Gardena area it's worth a try. The restaurant is small but very neat and exceptionally clean. Customer service was excellent. When you walk in the door you place your order on a large screen and pay on screen before sitting down. The staff came over to us as soon as we arrived, asked if this was our first time there (which it was) and explained how to order. I ordered scrambled eggs hard, grits, wingettes and a waffle. Everything was cooked to order hot and fresh. The grits were good but you definitely have to season them with salt as they have no seasoning at all. I'm sure that's on purpose so you can season to taste. What I found lacking with the grits was the butter. We had to ask for butter. The chicken was good but slightly salty for me. Although the waffle had a good flavor and was cooked well it has a lot of cinnamon. The waffle was so brown it looked like a wheat waffle. I'm not fond of that much cinnamon. My hubby had grits, catfish, eggs over medium potatoes and a biscuit. He said everything was good and seasoned well except for the grits. His grits also needed butter. So I've been ordering from here for a while and I use DoorDash. The food has been consistently good (glad I gave it another chance from the pork chops). They always get our order right. The only thing I would ask is to make sure the condiments match the order. For example, we order 2 French toast breakfasts but only receive 1 butter and 1 syrup. There have also been times that we don't receive any condiments to match what we ordered. I'm still working my way through the menu and I'd really like to try the pork chops again (maybe it was a bad day), but I just don't want to possibly waste my money and they're still not good. The customer service was great and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Even the music soundtrack was good. The restaurant is in a plaza and there is parking available . Was looking around my area for a new breakfast place and stumbled upon this spot. My son and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. Very clean inside with a welcoming vibe. You place your order at the front kiosk and the menu is very simple. The staff asked if we needed help and made sure we were good. The food absolutely delicious.
