Small but quaint food spot. Delicious breakfast sandwiches. I got Turkey sausage with 2 eggs. Was easy in less than 5 minutes. Very nice lady. Super sweet! Located next to a Chevron.

‍‍ THERES ONLY ONE COOK I HEARD , BE PATIENT . SHE PUT HER HEART AND SOUL IN THAT FOOD ‼ 10/10 FIRST THINGS FIRST MY SISTER TOLD ME ABOUT THIS SPOT LONG TIME AGO BUT I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY TODAY . Customer service was great ! I'm sure if you come at those ladies a certain way they will greet you with what it is you are looking for . They just had opened so certain things weren't necessarily ready at this point , UNDERSTANDABLE! I waited a decent amount of time BUT they made me aware and I AGREED . It was no problem . I wanted to smoke my CaliPlug anyway so that was smooth . I observed them having pleasant interactions with other guests walking up , smiling cisterns engaging ! NOW FOOD WAS GOOD ASSSF & THE EGGS ARE MADE HMM might have flung me a new lil spot . Lemonade banging . home fried were everything ! Shhiiiiiiit everything was good and I will be back to try a few other things I saw . Thank yall for the good eats , starting my morning off RIGHT ! STAY BLESSED . Once I tasted the bacon there was NO getting a picture . Plate presentation was A1 though

Greeted with a smile in the rain. Drove to LA from San Diego for a funeral. This little restaurant was right down the street. Sat under an umbrella in the rain on the outside patio. Good food. Great service!

I SWEAR SHE NEVER DISAPPOINTS!! food is always fire me and my man got the breakfast sandwich with country fries !! SO GOOD !! her customer service top tier and you guys gotta check out the patio!! SUCH A VIBE !! she is the owner of the place and she always does her big one but if you ain't patient , go home and cook

My friend and I came to this hidden spot in the middle of our neighborhoods (South Central and Inglewood). We sat in the patio, we liked the chill ambience. The food was delicious. My veggie omelette was a colorful delight. The omelette and potatoes were well balanced in flavor, texture, and amount of food. My friend mentioned her breakfast burrito was a bit salty, but liked it. Staff was courteous and considerate, which is vital for any business. The one thing I didn't like was that they didn't have water. Restaurants usually have water to give customers, so that was a bummer. Nonetheless, we will be coming back, except next time we will take our water bottles.

I learned about this establishment today and after reading the reviews, I had to give it a try. It's a very small restaurant boutique that focuses squarely on breakfast, hence the name. #TheBreakfastShack. I tried the Turkey Sausage patty with eggs and cheese, on a lightly toasted brioche bun. It was absolutely fire. The owner Brittney hosted us and her service was impeccable. We felt appreciated and we definitely appreciated her hard work and dedication to creating breakfast bursting with flavor. Keep up the great work!!

Love coming to this place for a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. The service is great and enjoyed the love felt by the host at the window. Keep in mind this is not a fast food place so expect to wait about 20 mins for your food. (Depending on what you order of course). This time around I had the breakfast burrito with hot link. WOW flavor down to the last bite. It is a small place next to a Chevron gas station. In your local neighborhood. Try them out you will not regret it!!!! Wish one day they will expand to have a dine in experience. Until then, I will take mine to go. THANKS!

Ambiance: I got my order to go. The place is right on the street, you order outside at the counter, and if you'd like, there's seating outside in the back. Limited parking. Service: The line was short when I got there and varied throughout my wait. They were pretty nice, though our interaction was short. The wait was about 25 to 30 minutes for the breakfast sandwich and 2 sides, so either order ahead or be patient. Food: I really wanted to love this place because the reviews looked amazing. I wasn't really impressed. It was a decent meal, but it lacked a lot of flavor, the sandwich didn't have any sauce/spread, the potatoes had too much garlic, and the grits needed butter salt and pepper. It all looked amazing, but the taste didn't live up.

    Current menu

Absolutely delish The wait time was crazy but I get it for fresh and tasty food Not much of a seating area but it's implied in the name

This place is great and well worth the wait! They make all the food once you order it and it took about 25 mins to get the food. They did warn us before so I knew what to expect. This place is a literal "shack" but they have outdoor seating which is nice! This has got to be one of the BEST breakfast burritos I've had! I wish I lived closer because I would come all the time. Overall, don't be turned away by the wait, it is sooo worth it and they give you an accurate ETA.

Loaded Veggie Dish (No Meat) -packed with flavor and the veggies tasted so fresh!! this is my "go to" order!

Be prepared for the wait, but so worth it! Had the hot link breakfast burrito. It was nicely charred and served with fresh salsa.

The bathroom sink has the most narrow faucet ever. The faucet is 1 in above the sink so I don't know how people wash their hands. These are what we ordered 1 Plantain + Crab $20.00 - 3/5. I fried plantain is good with the little bit of crabs on the side. Dish is creative but overall not extraordinary. 1 Root Beer Braised Short Rib - $44.00 5/5 this is the most delicious and my favorite dish. The mashed potato is so creamy and beef is so soft. It is the most creamy and buttery mashed potato I've ever had. 1 Jollof Platter $28.00 + Berbere Shrimp $12.00 - 4/5. The spicy rice dish has enough moisture and dryness. The shrimp was grilled in creme sauce. 1 Garlic Noodle $22.00 2/5. It tastes like soy sauce noodles because I couldn't really taste the garlic part of it. 1 Plantain Sticky Cake $15.00 5/5 toffee pudding style and is amazing. Moist and creamy. Overall I would definitely come back. Service is outstanding and water is filled with bottle and we could constantly refill it.

The place itself is very modern and nice. Overall the vibe it basically a Houston's-type place. And service was good. All of the food overall was very good. Nothing really too crazy. To me, the menu is a little... boring. But, I will say everything was tasty. We got the Cajun shrimp salad (which was simple and clean but tasty), a cheese pizza for the kids (which was good!), a brisket French dip (very tasty and a horseradish sauce with a LOT of bite), a vodka pasta (was good but it actually is TOO big a portion to eat by one's self), the Ahi Tuna frites (the tuna was good and served with a nice green sauce), and the grilled cabbage side (with brown butter and some pomegranate molasses--it was actually my favorite thing!). The key distinctive thing about Laurel Grill seems to be that a lot of things get cooked by that fire which really adds a nice smoky touch (like the shrimp and the ahi tuna and the cabbage). My only major complaint would be the fries were just okay. After a minute or two they weren't crispy anymore. As good as everything else was, I thought they would step things up with the fries but they were just average. Anyways, while I overall am not that excited by the menu, it definitely is a great place to go where everybody will be able to find something tasty to eat. And overall, the portions were pretty fair.

The security at the door was very nice, and the host was welcoming. She told us we could sit anywhere since it was pretty empty, so we chose seats at the bar to watch the large screens. She explained that the other servers did not have any tables and did not want to be the only one serving. Meanwhile, other people were also choosing to sit at the bar, which made it confusing why we were the ones being asked to move. That interaction felt frustrating and unwelcoming. When guests are told they can sit anywhere, they should not be asked to relocate for internal staffing reasons. That is something management should handle behind the scenes, not something placed on customers. It completely changed the experience for us. We each had one drink and decided to leave. Very disappointing first impression. Staff should be better trained on how to handle situations like this without making customers feel unwelcome.
