Needed a quick pick me up before my shift at work and decided to try this place out! I went through the drive thru, they were pretty busy but the line moved quickly. I ordered the egg, cheese and potato burrito and a small snowy mocha. The coffee was delicious but the burrito was just okay. I was very impressed with the salsa that came with the burrito though! Besides that, the burrito was fairly small and flavorless. The coffee was the perfect amount of sweetness and strength. I would definitely come back for just the coffee. These two items totaled $14

Convenient location & consistent customer service. Delicious matcha green tea smoothie hit the spot for refreshment. Always try something new on each visit.

Y'all are probably like, "Does this girl ever dine-in to eat anymore?!" I promise do lol but as of likely, the drive-thru has been life!!! I discovered this place back home in Vegas, and I was so excited to find they had a few locations here! The one down the street from my mom's house in Vegas, had a sticker that read, "Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks." And from there on out, I knew this would be my favorite coffee place LOL I used to go to this place nearly daily! My favorite drinks were the Mexi-Mocha and Irish Cream Breve, hot! Unfortunately, due to health issues, the doc told me to cool it on the coffee. So, I only have it once in a blue moon now. This visit, I tried one of their new drinks. They're like teas with your choice of energy drink. I tried the Mango Peach with a Red Bull my first visit and the Watermelon Strawberry? with a Rockstar the second visit. They're addicting. Soooooo tasty! I personally like it with the Rockstar than the Redbull, and they also have Monsters. But, it depends on which location you choose to go to. They might have just one energy drink option or 2, and not all 3 kinds. But, they're very refreshing and yummy! I highly recommend!

So happy to be here! Hawaii would be a great location for you all. *hint hint* Highly recommend! I also tried a croissant sandwich my go to for breakfast and 5 star on that alone. Beautiful & blessed!

I have not been disappointed with my experiences at The Human Bean thus far. The drinks have been great in taste and the customer service is always excellent and fast. I have only been to two locations thus far and had no complaints. I'm not too much of a coffee drinker and my typical place to drink is Starbucks. Hands down when it comes to coffee... Human Bean will be my preference. The Sugar Mama is my go too and the caramel macchiato. I even went by this Mother's Day and they were giving out tulips which was so sweet. I will continue to come here for my coffee fix.

I was planning on trying the bagels, but as a NYer I am very picky, and since it wasn't a typical bagel shop and they only had a few bagels available (like 9 on display), I decided to go for the banana bread since that's what I smelled as I walked in. I also snagged a piece of coffee cake and a vanilla Chai latte. I was a little shocked by the sticker price at the end for a small tea and 2 pastries ($19), but it is Ahwatukee after all, and the bread and coffee cake slices were huge!! I cut them in half to share with my roommate when I got back home. The tea was whipped perfectly and it was delicious but still a little sweet even with asking for light vanilla, but I still enjoyed it. The coffee cake was rich and sweet and moist. It was really good but also very sweet. The banana bread won it all and is what gave the extra star to bring it to 4stars. It was perfectly baked, not overly sweet, warm, and scrumptious. It reminded me of my mom's banana bread & made me want to bake some of my own!! The space is a decent size and really neat and clean. The bikes on the wall are cool, and love the wall with merchandise and other goodies. It's a great spot to meet friends for coffee, to study, or do some work. Great little neighborhood spot to support local!!!

We were already on Baseline, so when we peeped Black Rock, we made a quick turn and made our way inside. The space is nice, and clearly fairly new, as is many other surrounding buildings and businesses. They are set up with a few 4 tops, a large communal table, lounge seating, an outdoor covered patio and of course a drive thru. We decided to hang out in the lounge seating, which was comfy and perfect for our brief visit. The menu is straightforward, has all the classics and a few specialty house items. The drinks are listed as bases essentially, and then you can build and flavor it however you want. That is exactly what we did with the shaken espresso. We added the blondie syrups, which were white chocolate and caramel, both sugar free, and a splash of oat milk...sweet and delicious! Was the perfect pick me up before heading to the game. Service was friendly and helpful. The staff were as efficient as they were friendly. It only took a few minutes to get our drinks. After a quick google, I see that Black Rock is a west coast based chain...which makes me sad, as I would LOVE to have one in Nashville. Maybe one day! Overall, stellar spot!

I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. This will likely deter me returning to this location in the later afternoon/evening, but I imagine parking is easier in the morning. Definitely perfect for him waiting for me to pick him up when I finished work. He remarked about the records on the wall, and lots of the decor as it was a cutesy coffee shop. For my coffee beverage, I ordered a flat white as it's a good indicator of a decent coffee shop. Happy to report they passed the raw sugar test (put raw sugar on top and quality foam should hold up the sugar). To my surprise, gluten free food options were available at this non chain business. A chocolate chip almond cookie, peppermint bark cheesecake and an almond cake all tempted me. I went with the almond cake and enjoyed the fresh, moist, sweet treat that was topped with toasted slivered almonds. Winner.
