Service was wonderful - so friendly and answered all our questions! The breakfast was simple (it…read moreis mostly a coffee place so cool they even had food) but cooked well and tasted great. Our drinks were lovely, I had the blueberry latte and my wife had the banana split. Both tasted fresh and flavorful. I had actual blueberries in mine and they said the banana was real banana so you get real ingredients not artificial garbage. Our favorite part was the NO WIFI!! They encourage you to go more analog - read, talk to those with you, play a game! Pretend it's the 1990's!! We plan to go back for that part alone (plus it's delicious).

My wife and I were in the area on other errands and wanted to try someplace new for coffee. We…read morelooked up Momentto and dropped in. It's an unassuming spot in an office park area, not your typical retail shopping center. The coffee, however, was far from typical. We very much enjoyed our drinks. The interior is small but warm with plenty of seating for the size of the place. There are also a few tables outside. They are adamant (but not unfriendly) about keeping the cafe free of laptop computers, which they don't allow. They offer no WiFi. Their business model is focused on fostering genuine human interaction and conversation, and I must say, I do admire that anyone is really trying to encourage that these days! The staff was super friendly and helpful as we asked about the coffee menu choices and what their recommendations were. (They also offer some food items, but we did not order any of those on this visit.) They explained to us that the coffee drinks are listed on the menu from most sweet to least sweet, which is certainly a helpful thing to know. But they emphasized that they try to keep all of the drinks balanced so that they are not overly syrupy, which is also something we appreciate! To put that to the test, I ordered the most sweet drink on the menu, the Turtle Pie, which I ordered as a shaken espresso. (You can get any of their coffee drinks as a latte, cold brew, or shaken espresso.) That drink comes with two shots of espresso, dark chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut. My wife ordered the Sweet & Salty as a latte, and it comes with two shots of espresso, maple, sea salt, and white chocolate. We each thought our drinks were just the right balance of coffee and sweetness, and the flavors really worked well. We were quite impressed. :) I am not in the area that often, but when I am, I will definitely be keeping Momentto in mind.

They have many different flavors and I decided on Belgian dark chocolate. This gelato is not super sweet but has an amazing flavor. I could eat a bucket of this! It's that good! Wife had a scoop of the sea salt caramel and she loved it. We also got a traditional cannoli. They have a large assortment of Italian pastries and cakes. Highly recommend this place for your sweet tooth. Yelp needs to have a 6th star for this bakery!

BUT I did make reservations for the next day, so I wouldn't leave Arizona without out trying this place. Choices were hard, but we narrowed it down to "Butcher" pizza and Uncle Arthur's sausage meatball, parmigiano cream with mafalde pasta! It was a good choice for us. Just enough food for the two of us with a glass of white wine! We REALLY, REALLY wanted to try to save room for Tiramisu, but we just couldn't. We were staying at a hotel, so we knew we couldn't take home the left overs since we were heading back to California the next morning. Oh, oh, I wish you guys were here in San Diego, but looks like I will have to wait till our next trip to Chandler! What a great lively place....if it wasn't so cold I would have opted to sit outside. It looked pretty out there, too!

I hope they start serving savory snacks soon. Anyway, I went through the drive-thru and was promptly greeted. I ordered an iced seasonal latte and a muffin top. It is now a publicly traded, drive-thru-focused company with over 900 locations and is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona. Like all Dutch Bros, everyone here is so friendly and talkative. Even if there's a queue of cars behind you, they'll still ask about your day and any plans you might have later. Even though it's freakin' Arizona and our summers are hot hot hot, if there's more than a couple cars in line, they usually send someone out to get your order ready since they work at lightning speed here. Just pull up to the window, pay, ALWAYS tip, and drive away feeling like you've made friends with the barista. Oh, and don't forget to grab the monthly stickers because who doesn't love stickers? Came on October 29th to try to get their enamel pins but they ran out. Sad face. At least my Candied Cherry Fizz was delicious! Advice to DB: They need a new size: The Restorative IV Drip. Hook me up!
