This review is solely for Klein's. Cute place, but waitstaff could not have been more clueless or unhelpful. They got my order wrong twice and it took an hour to get a cold brew that was made from concentrate. Gross. read more

I stayed here for about a week, and I have to say it is one of the most aesthetic hotels I've ever been to. I would describe the atmosphere as very young and hip. The pink, white and gold color scheme of the hotel is very appreciated. My dad and I got a pretty small room however, so it was slightly uncomfortable. It was a good experience though; the Hoxton has a restaurant and a bar on the first floor, which we went to when it was pouring rain outside. The Hoxton is spacious, and I recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in Williamsburg. read more

This place can not keep reservations. I was here a long time ago, for their igloo dinner event- it was horrible. That's why I never went back. I guess it was long enough that I forgot... I went there Saturday evening for a party. The reservation was for a rooftop dinner at 5:30. I was almost instantly taken back to the last time I was there when the hostess said- "your table isn't ready I can put you at a table in the lobby until it's ready." I said to myself instantly " oh yea, this friggin place!!!" We sat there for about 2 hours until the table was ready.. typical. This place is awful. No time mgmt at all. I will say that it's clean. Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode- "you can take the reservation, you just can't hold the reservation... anyone can just take reservations! It's the holding the reservation that's really the most important part of the reservation- the holding!" This place is a pass. read more

I stayed here for my wedding, and The Hoxton was by far the worst element of the entire wedding experience because: 1. My best friends left me a surprise wedding gift at the front desk which was "lost" by staff. 2. I asked if the room could be cleaned before hair/makeup vendors arrived in the afternoon but they forgot to send someone and room was a mess. 3. Shower was out of both conditioner and body wash during my pre-wedding shower. 4. They said they gave me a "quiet" room since we were there the night before wedding, but there was audible bass vibrating through the walls all night. They did send a couple bottles of brut and comped half our room service lunch as an apology. My guess is they're new and not familiar with the quality of service expected from established hotels. Overall, would not return and would not recommend. They added so much unnecessary stress to my wedding day. read more

The hotel is nice but the rooftop is amazing.. a beautiful view of the city to have a bite to eat and some drinks. They also have another bar downstairs , Great spot to hang with friends and catch a vibe. I'll definitely be back read more

I checked out almost 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am still trying to get a refund of $913 for an overcharge. The problem started with a mistake in the booking that I made, however, there was never any dispute that the money was owed back to me. I have spoken to several polite people at the front desk but they don't have the authorization to refund and the person who can do that is not on site daily. Luckily, I do have an email confirming the charge is to be refunded. As of this review, I am still working on getting my money back. There is still no credit or even pending credit on my credit card. It's been very frustrating that I have had to spend so much time and effort to get my money returned. I did give 2 stars because the vibe of the hotel is nice and the food at the restaurant is great. read more

The Hoxton is a truly beautiful hotel. I booked a room for my Mother and she enjoyed her stay as well as the food. A big shout out to Jason, who was so kind and accommodating. He made us feel very welcomed. read more

When I booked this room I was so excited based on all the cute photos! When I got to the hotel I was so confused on where to check in and when I found the front desk there was someone working on a computer who didn't even greet me. When I did get checked in by another employee they were super friendly and helpful! after checking in I wanted to grab a coffee and some food and was disappointed in the service. Great food though! After my conference I came back to the hotel and went downstairs to the kitchen/bar area and sat at the bar. There was so much open seating there but I was asked to sit at a different bar since I did. It have a reservation. Which is completely understandable! After being sat I didn't have anyone come to my table for at least 20 minutes! So I had to go to the host and ask if someone could help. I wish I could give this place 5 stars because it is gorgeous!! And the food was amazing and my room was perfect but I really just felt really un-welcomed and like a complete outsider. read more

Just stayed here for nine days with a small group while we were shooting a national TV commercial. First off, and probably our mistake, don't stay here for work!! The way they parade you through the "lobby" to get to the check-in counter is just plain weird, and super confusing. Good luck if you have more than one suitcase or gear! The rooms are absolutely not conducive to working out of... as the joke goes, "the rooms are so small, you have to go outside to change your mind". Weirdly, they use Murphy's Oil Soap on the room floors so they are as slippery as ice... watch out! We had to ask them to re-clean the floors. The lighting in the room was equally terrible, I had to ask for a table lamp so I could see at night, (to their credit they brought up a cool mid-century floor lamp...). The cool retro blue tooth speakers... look really cool but aren't functional, I was told they are just for decoration... why? And believe it or not, there are no washcloths! I don't buy the "environmental initiative" excuse for no washcloths because they put new towels and sheets in the room every day. There is also not a single quiet place to hang out, let alone work. There are plenty of places to spread out in the lobby, but the music is so loud you will soon run back to your postage stamp room. Ultimately I think the hotel side of this property is an after thought, it feels more like a destination club/restaurant than a hotel. Don't plan on sleeping on a Friday or Saturday night, the crowds, music and police will keep you awake no matter what floor you are on and if you are lucky enough to fall asleep through the noise but are unlucky enough to be on the mural side of the building, the 4am garbage pick-up will get wake you up pronto. And another thing... the maid service is really inconsistent. they take things you want, leave things you don't want and sometimes don't clean the room. Everyone who worked there was super nice and helpful, (except for the bald guy who ran the bar/restaurant), they tried their best but are saddled with an awkward hotel. I get it, it's a new hotel, but I think the kinks should have been worked out by now. I also get that it's a place to see and be seen at, not a place to work out of. read more

The lobby bar serves false advertised liquor Aka FAKE LIQUOR ! A few friends and I were in the area and figured hey this seems like a pretty good chill spot. Everyone there are friendly and great vibes, cool dj too ! We decided to get drinks and i ordered a Crown Royal Apple straight. If you've had it, you'd know it's a smooth taste, HOWEVER the drink that was given was NOT it nor did it resemble the taste ! I asked for a new one and the bartender stated there were no more lol, I'll pass on this place. Be careful guys read more

The space is gorgeous and the service was pretty good. But the food was TERRIBLE. Like; couldn't eat it went to a deli afterwards bad. The drinks weren't any better. read more

I love this hotel. It's kind of hard to find reception because there's no signs, but enter, go down the stairs, take a left, and walk to the end of the hall. Everyone is super friendly, and accommodating. The rooms are very tastefully furnished, and well thought out. The ambiance is upbeat but intimate. The restaurant is amazing (Klein's) and the prices are more than reasonable. Room service is relatively inexpensive, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. I'm very happy to support this hotel, and I will 100% be coming back. I can't recommend this place enough. Book a room here! You won't be disappointed. read more

I went there with a couple of friends to have a drink at the rooftop bar - I stayed at the Hoxton in London and had the best service, so I expected the same here. Everyone was extremely rude, from the hostess to the waiters. You don't think I'm good enough to be at Hoxton? Please bounce me at the entrance, don't be condescending all the time. There's plenty of other rooftop bars in the nearby, and they actuallty have better views on the skyline. No point to me in going there. read more

If you plan to have a nice and fast coffee and piece of cake ..: run away from this place. I am currently waiting for now 25 mn a slide of carrot cake in a seat in front of the door that will give you a very nice fresh air every time someone comes in. I asked three times after my carrot cake ... "  the carrot cake is on its way " ... what a long way! I spent three weeks in The Hoxton in paris that was amazing so I am deeply disappointed by the poor quality of service here. Well I give up. I leave... and no apologies of course ... read more

Stayed two nights at the Hoxton and it was wonderful. The Williamsburg area of Brooklyn is so chic and fun, with trendy little places to eat and grab drinks on almost every corner. My husband and I had dinner at the hotel's lobby restaurant, where you can see your food being prepared in an open kitchen setting and it was excellent. The bar area also serves up some delicious margaritas! We really enjoyed our stay here. read more

Loved my stay at The Hoxton! The customer service was great, and boy is this hotel gorgeous. Every space in this hotel is thoughtfully designed. The Cosy room is definitely cosy, but the layout works. Best mattress ever. Hands down the best sleep I have ever gotten in a hotel! If you are looking for convenient, quality hotel, with a hip vibe I would suggest the Hoxton. Only suggestion I have is for there to be more signage when entering the hotel as I couldn't find the front desk easily, and I arrived on a Friday night when there was an event or something in the lobby. read more

Had a great stay at the Hoxton in Williamsburg!! The lobby/bar area was absolutely packed when we arrived, and the checkin was super quick! The room was adorable, and exactly as pictured in the photos on their site. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it has the cutest old timey vibe, and the drinks at the bar were pretty good too. read more

Kleins This is for the new restaurant inside the Hoxton hotel.. went this past Saturday night They definitely have a few kinks to work out , but that goes without sayin for any new place that just opens It was really really good ... great vibe !! Great looking. Fantastic service.. My only complaint was food was warm , not hot at all closer to cold .. but this is probably and hopefully a growing pain .. because the warm food I ate was delicious.. I had the burger and I love a good burger this was so tasty and yummy, cant wait to go back for a hot one .. french fries , my weakness were perfection.. my friend loved her chicken sandwich, hers was hot . My other friend loved his fish .. wish was hotter but very good.. our bartender and waitress were so so nice Cant wait to go back read more

RUN AWAY. The only thing worse than being ripped off by a bad hotel, is being ripped off by a bad hotel that exploits how susceptible people must be to faux hipster crap. There is NO service. Hotel staff stood around watching my husband and I struggle to get our luggage onto cheap bellmans carts, that would barely move. They stood and watched as we struggled to get said cart into the elevators with the door constantly closing as I tried to pry it open. This was right before we drove around the neighborhood trying to find parking on a street that didn't mean we had to get up at 7 and move our car, because this horrible "hotel" can't spring for parking, or bellmen, or pretty much anything. But they will spend an inordinate amount of time telling you all about their paper breakfast bags.I guess people are impressed by their cute bag design, because they have never stayed in anything but a hostel before. But I guess you can take a craft workshop painting mustaches or birds on mugs, drinking lattes and taking instagram pics of your crafts and sell them on Etsy, or whatever faux Brooklyn bullshit you are into. Spend another $50 and check into a Sheraton. It may not be cool, but it will probably have a closet. read more

One star is being generous. A friend and I went to the bar .. the only time we were acknowledged was after our drinks when we were both standing and a woman asked us if we wanted our bill. We had to chase down the host to be seated, we waited 45 minutes for them to even introduce themselves as our waiter and that's because we physically had to get up and find someone after saying " excuse me " to about 4 different people that ignored us. Our $50 drinks were poorly made. After they were given to us, nobody ever came back to the table again. The bar was not packed and other people were clearly being taken care of. I don't want to believe it was because we were the only two Hispanics in the place but after this experience it feels like it. This was the worst experience I've ever had and will never be coming back again. read more

We stumbled upon this place. We were excited about the outside drinks area and headed in. Great atmosphere and setting but terrible service. We sat on the step type seating and we probably waited 30 mins to order our first drink even though we saw other people arriving after us being served AND we waved down a lady who acknowledged us. Anyway first drink came and was drank so we thought we would have one more. Anyway 45 mins later we had to go to the bar to ask for our check. We were over the thought of a second drink and wanted to just leave. A good 15 mins to find my card that started a tab. A nice lady at the bar did give us a shot for our troubles but it triply left us frustrated compared to our excitement entering. read more

Stayed here for the 2nd time on my birthday. The person behind the check in counter gave us free wine spritzers once I told them we were celebrating, which was very sweet. Small gestures like that go a long way with me! Everything else was also wonderful. read more

This is review is strictly for service because the food was yummy . My friends and I walked in as a party of 4 and got seated at a nice table toward the very back . We don't see our waitress ( tall blond with curly hair that didn't introduce herself) for about 8 mn and that was a recurrent theme for the rest of the night . Ordered a "green fiend " which they ran out of (8:30pm) and settled for another juice blend with rhubarb and ginger which was ok. My friends ordered a bottle of wine which didn't arrive for 10 mn . The appetizers ( salad, octopus and chicken liver mousse ) arrived at a decent time . And that's the last that we saw our waitress until we flagged another server to get us our check Requested Bread TWICE to different bussers , never came and I wasn't able to finish my chicken mousse ( not cheap at $18) Main course were dropped by runners car and the Server never came to check our meal was going , never came to ask if we wanted more drinks or even dessert . And because of such ridiculous service we got our check ( that's when we saw our waitress) and left. We went to get dessert elsewhere in a 90 degrees weather . Subpar service and will not be back because of that or i just go to the bar ( would get proper attention) Hope management sees it to make sure that your waitstaff is providing stellar service in an area where there are other great restaurants with great food . The waitress still got $60 tip though because we are not assholes. read more

Room is nice, lobby bar is fine, roof top bar at this particular evening was serviced by incompetent staff with an arrogant attitude, including the manager. Does put a dent in what could have been a pleasant experience. I guess Brooklyn is getting a bit big for its breeches. read more

This is going to take some work for the price point. Beautiful building and furnishings, but still experiencing launch pains - no cold water morning one, no hot water morning two, elevator scraping something making awful racket. Staff seem very under-trained. Probably not a repeat with 3 able competitors within 2 blocks. read more

Not sure why this hotel is getting such a bad rep at Yelp. My experience was awesome, everybody was very friendly and accomodating. We had no issues with requests we made through the front desk and overall this hotel provided a great experience. Check-in and check-out was a breaze. Rooms are on the smaller side ( we stayed at Cozy) but you can definitely function there without any issuea and we stayed at smaller hotels around NYC. The view is amazing! Our room was on the 6th floor facing Manhattan so waking up to and going to bed to these sights was awesome. The Summerly rooftop bar/restaurant was a great experience as well. No issues with the service! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a trendy option in Brooklyn! read more

Rooftop was perfect And had an amazing dinner at their restaurant in the lobby; everything tasted sooo delicious! And Lynn, who is a chef there, (as they cook in front of you), was especially attentive to making sure our orders were completely satisfying, (when she did not have to be being she was the chef and not the waiter)...and she continued giving us samples of other food on the menu without us asking, and not to mention a surprise "belated" birthday dessert she had the waiter bring out without anyone asking! She was the best of the best!!! Great customer service, delicious food, and phenomenal views overall . :-) read more

The Hoxton is a stunning hotel in the heart of Williamsburg. The Staff is phenomenal. The best front desk team in the country! Adriana, Daniel, Tzalich, Rena, Bryce all bent over backwards to assist me during my stay. They also have a beautiful rooftop bar managed by the fantastic and wonderful Rena (who loves puppies!). Kelsey is a wonderful and caring hostess. Red makes amazing food at the ping pong section of the hotel. Loved my stay and highly recommend this resort for your Williamsburg stay. read more

Beete and Ugo are amazing bartenders. The bar is super nice and them two really made the experience complete. Amazing people amazing staff. Super attentive and engaging. I come here multiple times a week! The food is excellent, the decor is trendy yet comfy and I never feel rushed. On a selfish level I am sad this place has become more popular over the last few months but there's clearly many reasons why this is the case. read more

I have taken my out-of-town guests to Summerly, the rooftop restaurant-bar. The view was breathtaking. The food was the worst I had in NY. The shrimps were still almost frozen, clams hard and chewy, pizza was small, cold and stale. About the service, our waitress was chewing a big gum! I was so embarrassed that I wanted to write this review. read more

We recently spent one night at The Hoxton Brooklyn. First, the hotel is beautiful, fun, wonderfully decorated, and exceptional property. Daniel, from the moment we checked in, to the moment we left, was like an old, very dear, friend. He had answers to our (many) questions, and greeted us by name, any time we saw him. There was another great guy on the desk at night. Didn't get his name, but he too was awesome! I had terrible leg cramps during the night, and he went above and beyond to find me some bananas to help alleviate the cramping. Silly, I know, but he was terrific! Location is fabulous, the rooms, although small (it IS still New York) are lovely and comfy. The free breakfast idea is great, and the showers were fantastic! The price is reasonable for NYC hotel as well. We're already planning a longer trip to Brooklyn and the Hoxton! read more

Spent a quick 22 hours in NYC for work and stayed at the Hoxton. Price was reasonable but a bit high for the size of the room but expected for NYC. The room was extremely comfortable, well designed, and perfect for what I needed that night. Bathroom was very nice with a great shower. Bed was extremely comfortable. Late check out for $10 an hour is a nice touch and the breakfast was light and healthy. Coffee and tea selections were pleasing and the glass bottles of still water were a nice touch. Staff was friendly and helpful and overall, I had a great experience. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of price. I will certainly be booking the Hoxton on my next work trip to Brooklyn. read more

If this place wants to compete with neighboring hotels like the Wythe and William Vale, they got some serious work to do. I've been here a few of times for breakfast and they do not have it together. No fresh juice (this store bought Tropicana instead), and coffee is always lukewarm. Last time I went, the açaí bowl was clearly left over from the night before (previously frozen or refrigerated). That's a pretty basic dish and I can't understand how that could be so half @ssed. I also stayed here one night for fun. The bag of breakfast is a serious joke. Overnight oats? I coulda thrown Quaker Oats in my thermos the night before and had a better breakfast. No doubt, it's a beautiful hotel. I stayed at the Hoxton in Amsterdam earlier this year and had an amazing experience, especially when it came to dining (and Amsterdam is NOT known for being any sort of culinary Mecca the way the NYC is), so I have been very disappointed by the lack of love, attention, and quality to the food and service at the Hoxton Williamsburg. Please step it up. read more
