6/5/2025: I needed purchasing H2O filters for the Samsung French Door Refrigerator I purchased in July 2017. I disappointingly made the mistake purchasing a plethora of an off-brand Samsung H2O filters from Amazon. Aside, I had the Samsung French Door Refrigerator serviced in August 2024: The Samsung Service Tech bluntly stated the off-brand Samsung H2O filters doesn't efficiently filter the H2O whereas, the Home Depot Appliance Dude stated Samsung's Service Tech's Samsung H2O filters recommendations are just mere fabrications of a fabricated POV in order, racking up making more dough off me! Hey~I'm not a clueless fool, ya know--I'm not buying their money-scheming ploys . . . Ya get my drift--you know what I mean, eh? Anyway, I seriously can't differentiate between the quality and performance between the OEM Samsung H2O filters verses the off-brand Samsung H2O refrigerator filters. To my utter surprise, the Appliance Dude informed me Home Depot sells TWO Samsung H2O filters in a package for $59.00 verses OEM Samsung H2O filters sells only ONE in a package for $49.00. Therefore, I opted purchasing Home Depot's TWO Samsung H2O filters in a package for $59.00, i.e., obtaining a bargain price bang for my hard-earned moola is undoubtedly ingrained within my DNA and RNA Coding~lol. Moreover, I bought more drain cleaner for my sinks and some fire starters for camping--that's all I bought which the total out the door was egregiously expensive nonetheless! read more

I was in the area for business, so I swung by the Placerville store to buy a pre-cut garage door insulation kit. After searching, I asked an employee where I could find it. The terse response was; "Nothing in the store, it must be ordered on line. That is the way it is now". Checked the website, it indicated two in stock. Rather than deal with more of the hostile and lazy customer service, I left and went to Lowe's. They had what I wanted in stock. This is why I avoid Home Depot and it seems to be getting worse, rather than better. Waist of time, energy and patience. read more

Their return desk and customer service is very subpar. They have a price match policy which is offered by other neighboring Home Depot stores. Yet this store always finds a reason to honor such policy. Lot to be desired of the store manager of this store who is ultimately responsible for poor customer service and violation of their own price match policy. I have ordered many things online for pick up rather than go up and down the aisles at this Home Depot. Everything I have ordered was spot on with zero mistakes. When I pull up to the pick up spot and use the app to tell them I'm there, they come out within minutes. Sure is a time saver! read more

We fell for a Home Depot kitchen counter person to come by our house to discuss new countertops. She approached us at Placerville Home Depot but what followed was through a Sacramento Hime Depot. She was not very knowledgeable and only had little 3x4 blocks to show us. Did NOT show us the product page where we could take a picture of our kitchen with the granite we chose, but another kitchen. we loved the choice. Turns out there can be multiple patterns and colors for a single granite choice. NOT explained to us. Next Home Depot uses a company called Stone Tile Evolution. Pretty quick in, I see they have BAD ratings on their own site but she insured us they were great and honestly depot had never had a complaint. LIE. They did have complaints from Home Depot customers. They measured wrong, did not enclose the kitchen during demolition causing massive dust in house and ALL cabinets and drawers were full of debris, did not point out areas in which the old tile covered and their product would not, left a huge mess outside, and found razor blades on floor and outside. Now, Alejandro who followed our contract was great. He sent out a sink guy with Super Brothers who had to find a part of the garbage disposal Stone Tile through away. Sink guy was great. He had to send a contractor out to level a counter. They were great. Then Stone Tile came back to finish the newly leveled counter. They couldn't get the stove to fit and said to call Home Depot. Because they measured wrong around the stove, we have rough unsightly cuts and it took a Home Depot employee, the contractor, and two Stone tile guys to fix their mistake. The Home Depot employee was able to get them to fix a damaged spot they caused, but unable to get them to smooth out a spot that catches on a wipe and a hand. This company is the WORST, and if it's who Home Depot is using for your new tile, go elsewhere!! If I knew how to post photos, I would. This has been a terrible experience and the quality is less than what we expected Home Depot to provide. read more

DO NOT use Home Depot's in home decorating services. Contracted with them to reface kitchen cabinets and the job after 4 months is incomplete, sloppy and sub-standard. Promises made by the sales rep for the new lower shaker doors to match the shaker design of existing upper doors was a lie, they don't even come close to matching! Home Depot is not at all interested in customer satisfaction or upholding promises made at time of sale. The job remains incomplete due to lack of supplies being sent at time of install with a non-English speaking installer not capable of discussing the job with us. Moulding was installed that doesn't match our decor and installer throw out old moulding that matched our existing wood floors. This has been an expensive $14K experience. When a Home Depot rep came out to view the job when we complained he said Home Depot was attempting to become a premier home decor provider ... they don't even come close and they aren't to be trusted nor believed!! read more

month ago, we went into the Placerville Home Depot to look for door to replace the our . We found the Anderson 300 series that looked exactly like the one we had and decided that would be the one we would choose. Unfortunately, none was in stock. About 10 days ago, we went back into the store and again tried to purchase the storm door. At that point there was yet a shortage, but we photograph of the item information as posted on the product on display, see the attached photo. The price time was $219. So last Friday we went in For the third time to pick up this item and again, it was not in stock that time after literally hunting the gentleman in charge of the millwork and door area, Jose, we asked if we could just go ahead and order the door, still at the price And would pick it up whenever it was delivered to the store. Jose, who clearly did not really have an interest in helping us much, suggested that we shouldn't purchase since there was no guarantee this particular door in the color combination we wanted, would actually show up and it would be best to come back in after Wednesday when he expected to have a shipment arrive. At that point we did note that the price in the storage rack behind the display door had a price of $259 and when we pointed it out to Jose wasn't sure what to say about the conflicting prices as the display door still had the $219 price. At that point Jose removed the $219 price tag from the display door and handed it to us stating well when you come back in, you may have to talk to the manager about the price differences, but they should honor the $219 price Which of course, he just removed from the door. So on Friday, yesterday, August 28, I went into the Home Depot, found a cart capable of handling the door from an elderly couple loading lumber outside and went back to the door section where I started looking for The door in the supply rack. There was some confusion, although the rack had been refilled and again I went in search of Jose, who is nowhere to be found. I went back to the rack again carefully looked at all of the labeling, and to my dismay I found the exact door filing And wrestling the door out of the tight rack. It took several minutes for me to work this door out of the stack and as I got it out sales floor, I turned around to put it on my cart only to find some SO had literally taken my while I was wrestling the door out of the , which only made my experience more irritating, but the best was yet to come. So I had to go hunt down another Srt And back to the window and door section where I wrestled it cart and headed to the checkout area. So when I got to the checkout area, the lady checker was pleasant enough initially and I said we're probably gonna have a discussion about the price on this and could you please call your supervisor over as This seems to have gone up $40 since last week. I jokingly said I didn't get a $40 raise this week did you to which she responded with a snotty 'no'. So I handed her the tag that Jose had taken off the display window the week earlier and what was handed to us by Jose back in t he door section literally a week ago with Jose's instruction to ask for the manager re the price difference on the door.. So, with that, the clerk started looking at the tag on the display a week earlier that had been provided to us by Jose and scan it, she has, "this isn't even the right of is there a light on door?". I said no, this is a simple storm door, and this was on the display which he started to give me the look like I was trying to and then went over to the door that was in my push cart and tried to scan the code that was on it and she said well look somebody has torn. This tag off too suggesting that I had done it. I said this is exactly how it came out of the rack lady but here let me flip heavy door over and maybe there's a tag on the other side for you, which I did and there was and she said see this is this is $259.. I said yes that is the issue here a week ago when we wanted to buy it and they didn't have stock. Jose told us not to because he wasn't sure we would be able to get in and now that one's in but the price is now $40 higher. And I again requested her supervisor. She really tried to do everything except suggested. I had somehow switched the tags and called a supervisor over who had a discussion that I could not hear with her and his response was this is the price 259. I explained to him The whole scenario again showed him the tag because of doesn't mean me show you the photograph of this item on display with the $219 seven days ago. He said I don't care where that photograph came from or when it was but the price of this is $259. He declined to call Jose up saying he wouldn't believehe At that point, I said you know you guys are really freaking amazing, I my Home Depot card, which is now in pieces in the garbage, paid for my $259 /219 door And left the store for the very last time. read more

Purchased threshold delivery for the new fridge. Meaning driver brings up stairs and to my door! @$95.00 Delivery date: 5/17/23 Flat bed driver with forklift states he will NOT bring up to threshold and gave me the number to contact appliance department and notify them they initially placed the WRONG ORDER for a flat bed when it should have been a box truck with a dolly to deliver to the threshold. Spoke with representative that said she was told to give me a refund on delivery! No, let me talk to Manager! Aurther said we can't send anyone back out there "I accepted " the fridge !! You placed the order wrong for delivery service and that I'm 60 yr old and disabled and have NO one to assist with this situation.. He again, said you should have refused the order !! The driver dropped and left after giving me the number to call!! Not giving me time to finish the call or inspect the fridge!! I said, I'll be yelping you and making a complaint.. Aurther the appliance manager laughed and hung up !! Not a care in the world !! Not acceptable - disgusting attitude and not the first time these associates and managers mistakes are being made and at the expense of us paying customers !!! Disgusting !! This review is only for the Tuff Shed sales manager, Tom Jops, and the contracted installers. Great customer service and product install. 5 stars for the Tuff Shed crew. For other Home Depot (HD) services like ordering appliances from here and working with those contractors... family members recently have and it was not a pleasant experience. Thus my 3 star HD rating. Anyways a few months ago, I was in need of a storage shed. So I went to various site Tuff Shed retailers. I didn't get a good vibe from many of them. Then I went to the Home Depot in Placerville, CA. Unlike the HD in Folsom, CA, this HD had a Tuff Shed on-site sales office. Sure enough in the parking lot were a lot of Tuff Shed models in great condition for viewing. I got to chat up another local couple, they mentioned that they are purchasing their second shed from here and got great service. The brochures were hanging outside of the sales office. The QR code linked to current pricing. Tom, the sales manager, was in the office helping a steady stream of folks. Hubs and I waited our turn. Tom was engaging, personable, and attentive. He went out to walk the models with us. He checked delivery service area, explained the needed pre prep and leveling of the ground and measurement requirements. We didn't make a purchase on the spot. But we did mull things over and came back to purchase with Tom versus other retailers. Tom throughly explained again the measurements needed; and discussed base pricing, add ons, and color selections for the exterior paint and roof shingles. The install schedule was about 3 weeks out. Patient, relaxed steers free experience. He provided us the sales print out to give to the HD cashiers inside the store to pay. Within 2 days, the installer scheduler called to set up an appointment. It was for about 2 weeks out. The installers came on time. Great communication. The two installers provided excellent customer service. They made quick work of assembling the shed. They kept level checking as they built. They provided a walk through and made sure we were satisfied prior to leaving. Good later follow up from the installers to make sure we were satisfied. Oh if only other HD vendor dealings were as easy as this. read more

Kayden and the other two employees on duty on 9/20/24 at 8:26 pm all had the time to stand around and talk getting paid for nothing but not to have an in person checkout line. Kayden did have the time to sprint over and make me feel like I was trying to steal as I was only scanning my first item. I then planned to scan all the smaller items including one smaller item that I was planning on getting at the end as it was under the big and bulky box I had. Then again I went this morning where dozens of are checking out in "self" checkout. All the while their stands are going off asking for assistance with only one person there to assist. Nobody is on a regular checkout except for the pro line!! My question is Home Depot. Why have a system that promotes laziness in employees but promotes bad experiences for customers? Why have a system actually promotes more loss prevention and reduces customer, interface, and experience?! Why have an experience actually reduces efficiency because you have a bunch of people needing help from only one person when somebody could just be helping the person?! Oh, and let's talk about how expensive all the items have gotten I know inflation all that stuff for stupid disposable paintbrushes that used to be $.35 $.75. They're now like three dollars apiece it's all so Dumb, your company is going out of business with these practices. Hope you're happy you're pleasing all your shareholders because it makes me just wanna order everything online instead of giving money to you jerks in corporate America. The only one with any sense in her head was a very sweet, elderly lady with white hair that was working in the evening, who actually did help me in the isles like you used to. I remembered days when you would go to the hardware store and there were people who have brains in their head who could help you now you hire a bunch of slack jawed idiotic mouth breather they have no sense no logic and get confused at the simplest task on top of that. They have bad attitudes and are entitled lazy and just plain moronic working but not really working. They're getting paid to stand there while the self check out does all the work, it is so amazing to me that the movie Idiocracy has literally become a documentary. I am very tired of the ongoing experience I'm having with my building material delivery. It was scheduled to be delivered Monday. Part of it was including these cracked and weathered boards. I was told the rest would be delivered Wednesday, then yesterday, then today and now Monday between 6 AM and 8 PM. These boards were supposed to be replaced and I have been waiting all day for the third day now. We should have rented the flat bed truck and done it ourselves but now we wonder when this epic mistake will be behind us and don't know what we can do to make it happen. I hope I remember to never make this mistake again. The employees have been very nice but unable to help. Waited all day again for delivery of one good board and one very cracked one. We all are trying to make it in this crazy time. Our government is a joke, illegal activities that they are not held accountable for. Prices through the roof, gas prices ridiculous. So when I drive to Home Depot it cost a lot just to get there. In the most part people there are not getting paid enough and some good people work there. Like anywhere there are a few that just miss the mark. As mentioned gas cost a lot, my vehicle is down so I had to borrow a vehicle to get to home depot. I went to the paint department had some paint mixed, the person working the paint department said it would be ten to 15 minutes. I had other shopping to do. He has taken my order, color, name, and email address. I came back in about 15 to 20 minutes, he had my pain ready he said, pointed at the only mixed gallon of paint on the counter. I paid for it, not cheap, got home, returned the vehicle, all this is for an elderly lady I'm helping who can't get out of bed. Project has to be done tonight I has taken the lid off the gallon if paint, instead of a dark brown paint I ordered it was a lime green . Not happy. I called home depot got the paint department, the person at the paint department said " my fault I gave you the wrong paint". No kidding, he said come back tomorrow, I asked if he was going to pay for my fuel to return? He said up to manager. I can't get back tomorrow, I'm screwed. So my advice if you have paint mixed there open the can to see if it's what you ordered. Bad service read more

We just moved to Placerville to purchase a washer and dryer. Dennis in appliance department was extremely knowledgeable very friendly and so helpful. He even stayed over after his shift just so he can finish helping us great customer service. And then we met Deb and the power tool department was also absolutely amazing very friendly and answered so many questions that we have such a great experience in joining this community in Placerville makes us feel so welcome. read more

At checkout the cashier insisted she did not need to remove the safety device because it deactivated once scanned. My husband tried to ask again if she would remove it and she showed that it wouldn't go off and told us to just remove it at home. When removing at home, there was a needle inside that sprung out. Luckily my husband had work gloves on and wasn't injured. I can't understand how lazy a cashier can be to put someone in danger like this. Why are people allowed to bring large non-service dogs into the store???? I was in the Placerville store today for a $110 item. As I was headed to the checkout, a man with a large pit bull came into the store and stopped in the isle right where I was headed. There was nothing indicating this was a service dog. I'm afraid of dogs, so I skirted way around it. But as I was at the self checkout, I noticed the same man and dog were standing just behind me. He hadn't brought anything to buy. It seemed like he was just hanging around, walking his dog, and decided to follow me! I was rattled and couldn't find the receipt that came out of the machine. An employee came by and I quickly asked her where my receipt was (she said it had come out below the large item I was holding). She was irritated that I had been so abrupt, but I was trying to get away from the rude man and his dog! Come on people! Since when is it OK to bring a PIT BULL into a crowded store and stand right next to someone who clearly wants to avoid the dog???? This is ridiculous! Why isn't there a store policy prohibiting non-service dogs in stores? Especially large dogs! Use common sense here! Am I supposed to exit because there's a guy parading his pit bull around the store? Who is the paying customer...me or the dog? read more

I used the Home Depot to order a major appliance. All went well- Delivery date very satisfactory. Phone call the day before deiivery with satisfactory 4 hour window. I empty my current appliance , move furniture, check and clear doorways and paths, get up early on day of delivery and proceed to wait the four hours. On checking after the 4 hours I find the delivery date has been rescheduled for the next week. I am leaving and am unavailable until May. How can I trust that Home Depot will keep its contract with me ? I can't. This is the second time HD has not kept its contract to deliver on a major project or product. I am furious read more

I contracted with HD to refurb my kitchen counters and cabinets. Big mistake... the project started over 2 years ago and it is still not finished. Let me repeat that, TWO YEARS! Drawers stick, poorly installed hinges are broken and the correct color laminate has never been installed. The service and support I have received during this project has been terrible. read more

I really like this store, but it needs to put some effort into their houseplant section, I stopped in and at least 80% were either dead or dying. They need to remove the dead plants and dead parts of a plant and water more frequently but not over water. read more

This place is always disappointing. The staff all walk around like zombies, clearing smoked out on pot. The boys took me to pick out a plant for Valentine's Day (I love plants) and all the plants that were indoor and very large, were severely damaged. I picked one out, but didn't notice how bad it was until we got it outside. A nice Home Depot guy saw us checking it out and said they'll give you a discount. (By now I had a $40 pot picked and other items) So we go to check out. The guy at the register was arguing with the guy who appeared to be a manager. When it was my turn I shared that the other guy told me it would be no problem to get a small discount for as frayed and hammered the plant was. Great staff at this Home Depot- Every time i have gone to this HD, the employees are welcoming, knowledgeable and willing to help. I had to use the loading dock a few times and without asking, employees show up and ask if we need help- 3 for 3 times this has happened. Elle at the service desk is a rock star! I found a display of Peace Lillys in the store that had American Flags in them. When we went to the Gardening checkout the woman checker asked where we got the flags. My wife explained that they were in the individual pots that were on display. The clerk said I don't know the price of the flags where did you get them?. We explained again that they were in each individual pot and were included. With a doubting tone, "Oh really?, well I won't charge you for them if you say they were part of the price." Her demeanor was rude and she made several comments as we left like we had gotten away with something. I will take photos of the displays if I purchase anything else from H.D. Worst managed store Ive ever been to. And Ive been to DOZENS of locations. The service desk literally refused to answer the phone after calling 11 times in a row and sitting on hold each time for over 5 minutes. No exaggeration. Finally wasted my time and drove over there. I was after a rental truck and after a 20 minute roundabout with the desk associate... finally found out that an employee had taken their only rental to lunch and they could not tell me when he would return. What a joke! Why would an employee be using the only rental truck for personal reasons?! Completely disappointed with this experience. I will make a point to drive to Folsom location from now on and also make sure to share this experience with all friends and family. read more

Horrible service. I've had very little luck asking someone for help and them actually helping me. Most of the time they say they don't have an item and a few minutes later i find the item. The only reason i go here is when i need supplies for my house. If there was a lowes uo here i would shop there. When i go to the one in folsom i usually have a little better luck. I've asked for items high up that thry have to close the aisle down and say i wpuld be back in an hour or so. I come back and its still not down and have to usually wait a few days. I dont get how any of the contractors get any work done when they pick items up from here because the employees are straight rude and lazy. I gave two stars because the only department i like is the garden department. I get a little peace and quite walking thru. Plus i know where stuff is out there compared to inside. We even went to take a flooring class because we are rebuilding our bathroom and wamted to lwarn how to tile and when we got there and asked employees about it, we got the crazy look and was told it was canceled. read more

This is a public service announcement: Two and half months after our first meeting with a kitchen designer in the Placerville Home Depot cabinet department we still did not get the final plans for our new kitchen cabinets. Excuse #1: She went on vacation for two weeks (everyone needs a vacation, right? right!) She also repeatedly told me and my husband how busy she was. Excuse #2: She was sick when she returned from vacation, which she explained was why she didn't contact us after her vacation. Excuse #3: She was so busy, but would try to come up with some plans. Hmmm... Excuse #4: She lost our file (house plans and all) when we showed up for a second appointment SHE requested. No apologies. Instead, she turned her attention to a shopper who stopped by with a question even though we had an appointment and were sitting in front of her at her desk. I asked her the purpose of the meeting, but instead of answering she tried to turn our attention to cabinet accessories. Excuse #5: She claimed she did not respond to my emails requesting the status of the design due "to the way Home Depot is structured." She said she was juggling 30 customers in various stages of design and installation. She did inform me that she closed our file (the one she lost?). Fast forward to more than two months later and our kitchen is demoed, yet we still have no cabinets on order, so we have to frantically start all over at another place of business. Of course I called HD customer service, and they assured me I would hear back from regional leadership within 24 hours. Never heard from them. Bottom line, this was a blessing in disguise. I just feel terrible for the kitchen designer's 29 other customers. If you value good customer service and your pocketbook, my advice is look for the EXIT sign and run as fast as you can! read more

I ordered a new refrigerator and paid extra for them to "professionally" install and move my old fridge to another room. I had to work, so my mother in law was there. They brought a refrigerator that was so dented up that I would have NEVER accepted it. Then they took my glass door off the hinges to get the fridge in my house. 3 feet away from the front door is French doors where there was a clear path from there to the kitchen! Then, instead of moving my fridge outside downstairs where they were asked to move it, they TOOK IT! HOME DEPOT STOLE MY PRACTICALLY NEW FRIDGE! Now I'm told they can't bring it back, and I'm offered $40 refund for haul away!! $40 for my old fridge? I was told a higher up manager would call me in 24-48 hours, and I've yet to receive a call. It's been 5 days! I'm still waiting on my undented fridge, too! I'm seconds away from reporting my stolen fridge to the police and calling the BBB. Sold me a returned Milwaukee M12 vacuum. When I got home, I noticed the box had been opened and retaped. Sure enough, was missing the hose, HIPA filter and the nozzle. I live 1.5 hrs away, and the employee on the phone gave me horrible service. Buyers beware. read more

If I could negative stars I would... we planned in getting our floors done... they said be ready so we moved out all of our furniture and appliances just so they could call us an hour after the 3 hour time spand they gave us to say they weren't coming and they could come Monday.
