8/11/2026: I purchased a dual brass hose connector adapter for connecting two hoses to the backyard faucet bib. Finally, I have installed three 100-feet of garden hoses around my house preparing for fire prevention. Unlike some others, my experience with this location has been abysmal. I ordered 1 ton of pellets 3 weeks ago, to be delivered. I have yet to see the pellets. I get the line "It's not us, it's our delivery service. You need to call them". I have, twice, a few days apart, and no one returns my call. I went to the store at the two-week point, got the same line; two employees, one of whom found the paperwork, assured me "hey, no problem - our delivery service is prompt". No one, including the "sales manager" Kim, seems to care nor be an advocate... it's just "it's the delivery service". A decent business would take ownership of the problem. The staff are helpful and really take care of their customers. The prices of their clothing and boots are way lower than Boot Barn and other stores. My Ariat boots were $30 dollars less at Tractor Supply. They also carry Carhart in Tall and larger sizes at lower prices. read more

Came down to pick up fencing supplies that we'd ordered and paid for. Arrived within a few hours of receiving the notification that they were ready to pick up. Were informed that the store had accidentally sold our order to someone in that time. Received a refund but can't make up for lost time on and having to go further down the hill to track down material. Store offered little apology. Won't be returning to this location ever again. read more

With the current state of corporate policies, I cannot recommend shopping here at this time. I am a customer and was spending a fair amount between this store and the El Dorado Hills store. If and when TSC can figure out how to keep both sides happy, I will be shopping elsewhere. To be fair, I have had pleasant experiences at both locations, so the employees are good. read more

Boy, they really charge a ton for stuff in here. Herb plants were $15 each! Trader Joe's sells basil just as large for $5, granted at the tractor supply it was in a basic plastic planter container, but still ..I was pretty shocked at the sticker prices. Even the clearance section, prices were still really high. I love supporting small, local businesses.. but I also appreciate businesses not gouging customers just because it's a small community and there isn't much competition. Hate saying but Home Depot will really save you money on certain items. I did notice they sell live stock feed, so they are definitely a speciality store, so I can appreciate that aspect as well. read more

The smallest TSC but takes care of a huge homesteading community. El Dorado county residents appreciate the smaller size and bigger customer service! Its TSC policy to greet and make every customer happy however, the staff at this particular location sincerely WANT you to leave happy. Making the customer service second to none! Due to the limited floor space they don't have everything in stock but they can get it! Their app is super convenient to use and order from. Curbside pick-up and also offer free delivery! With a TSC this good, there is no reason to ever go back to the orange store! read more

I have given tractor supply quite a bit of business since they opened up. Most of the people that work there are pretty awesome and for a while there I've never had a bad experience. But when you call and ask about an assembled product, get the green light, then take the time to drive down the hill to the store. Pay for the item and then are ready for them to load ( chicken coop ) all to have the jerk manager "Jeremy" tell you sorry for the miscommunication but he can't sell you the product is a major douche move. I wish I would've gotten the lady's name that helped me but she went above and beyond to get me the feed that I needed. She called in some "muscle" to dig down through a stack of feed in the back to get me the last bag they had. Then she took me to the customer service desk and ordered feed especially for me. Went to Tractor Supply for the first time as I had seen an internet add for a pressure washer on sale from $230 down to $199. The sale price was also advertised on the rack in the store. I asked an employee to assist me. He found one listed in stock but after checking, told me that it was damaged. I then upgraded my choice $100 to a model listed at $330. I told him I had driven 18 miles and would like the sale discount of $30 applied to the higher priced model. He checked with his manager (who did not bother to speak with me) and told me the best they could do was give me 5% if I signed up for one of their credit cards. Very poor customer service on the part of the manager (the employee was polite) and I will not ever return. We placed our order for dog food pickup around 730 and within 15 minutes, our order was ready for pickup! Only 1 issue, we live in EDH. We as lawfully as we could since we thought they closed at 9, but to our surprise at 8:08, they were marked as closed. We said screw it and still called for curbside pickup to see if there was a mistake with the 8 or 9 closing time. Chad answered the phone as if they weren't closed and we confirmed closing was at 8. BUT Chad still brought out our dog food and was not at all irritated that we were "those" customers. I cannot thank Chad (I'm like 99.9% sure his name was Chad) enough for making the exception for us to have food for our dogs in the morning. You rock dude! Customers for the long haul here. Great customer service and they seem to carry everything! I thought in the world county of El Dorado there would be tons of feed places that carry canine vaccines. However, there appear to be no feed stores in the area I called 3 different stores that claimed to be feed supply stores but not carried canine vaccines. I called three feed supply stores in neighboring counties and all they carried were puppy vaccines. However the Placerville tractor supply store carries The vaccine I needed. They have to keep them locked up, since they have a syringe in them, and I was able to find an associate in seconds to unlock the case for me. He insured I was within close driving distance and when I told him I was about 25 minutes away he gave me a cold pack to ensure the vaccine stayed at optimal temperature for the drive home. He also ensured That the cashier took care of me quickly as well. They also gave me a discount just because! The location of the store is not the most convenient for me, but I Will be going out of my way to frequent this business anytime I can. read more

Pretty nice selection of goods and for those on the east side of town a great location. Very ag centric store - feed, farming, shop supplies, work clothing and of course lots of tractor stuff - a really good selection of things for the ranch. They are in the old (newer) Mountain Democrat building - so easy access and lots of parking. Prices seemed reasonable and they were well staffed when I was there. It's nice to see a new business like that on Broadway - go check them out! read more

Walked into the supply store & a customer was talking with the cashier. Went to go get a wrench & headed back to the cashier. She was still talking with the customers (friend/family) & Not one item had been processed. She now feels she must work & even messes that up. Here comes a manager to assist. Then another employee walks over & the manager to talk to family & friend. Meanwhile, the line has grown to 4 sets of people waiting. Not friendly to the rest of us, that I heard. Embarrassed? I mainly go here for mini pig food and wild bird seed, both of which are priced great. It's hard to get in and out because of all the cool things they have in stock, I often find myself browsing. The layout is nice and neat, making everything easy to find. I've never really had to wait in line, and the cashiers have always been friendly. Went to their store but they were out of the horse grain I use. They told me it would be in the next day. The next day I called and they told me they had it in. Within the hour I drove all the way down there and they did NOT have it nor were they concerned that someone there had just told me on the phone they had it in. I won't be going back. This store and a good number of the people who work there are a MESS! I keep wanting to give them a chance because I like the products and the vast selection. But these people have made me give up on this store for several reasons but the latest episode was with an online order. I ordered two gallon containers of this livestock grooming stuff. After about 15 minutes I finally got someone to actually come to the counter to help me. Then he went to the back room and brought out the box that had my order in it. I saw right away that the box was saturated with the contents of what I ordered. I said, "uh-oh", and he said "what?" I said it looks like there's a leaker. I pulled both containers out of the box and they were both in plastic bags that had a big puddle of this liquid pooled in the bottom. He looked at me so surprised when I told him I didn't want the not full containers. Then he just said oh well,, they'll probably just clean them up and stick them on the shelf! UGH,,,, (so I guess beware if you plan on going in there to buy some livestock detangler,, the containers probably aren't full!) And this was one of the better experiences I've had in this store! As I said,, I kept going back because I wanted to like this store. Generally the people there have this "don't give a sh#@ attitude" I'll keep shopping at Tractor Supply but will never set foot in the Placerville store again read more

Everyone who works here is friendly and knowledgeable. The problem is that the grains and some of their feeds, if not all, are brought in from out of state. Whereas the other feed stores in the area, carry locally milled (in Calif) items. Sometimes the feed at Tractor Supply is older and dryer than other feed stores. They are a little less expensive but when you have animals you are harvesting you usually want the better quality. I like their hours....and this makes it easier to get something in an emergency. read more

I like this store, but they are unorganized and maybe a little too laid back. Though even if they make a mistake they are always friendly and willing to work with me, like discounts etc, so I got to give them credit there. Can't trust their online items, so you need to call and make sure they have it. I've also had them not call me when a part was in, but I've come to expect that from them. You have got to follow up with them in person which is annoying. read more
