Tried to come to this Home Depot to buy a floor scrubber. Could not find them. I walked back-and-forth two or three times every Employee in the store is completely oblivious. Nobody to ask -everybody was in their own world and they refuse to make eye contact with you. They just turn away and act like they're so busy so you look for the next person and then you get the same thing. It's like a little cult in there. I stopped at customer service and I asked where the floor scrubbers by Ryobi would be and he told me to "try aisle 47." I tried aisle 47 and it was not there. it was only a bunch of lawnmowers and weed eaters and dirt blowers. I pushed my cart in front of the customer service desk, and I left it there in the middle of the floor when I walked out of the store. Do you think anybody there might ask me if I needed any more help finding the item I was looking for? No. They watched me walk out of the store like a bunch of stupids- Like a bunch of people whose paychecks do not depend on sales. I'll never go to the store again. The Lowe's in La Quinta is great. I usually never stray from there, but I was at Winco so I said what the hell. The one experience I have is utterly ridiculous. I'm glad that I am a Lowe's shopper. read more

Then the employees only brought out a portion of the order and I had to argue with them to get the rest that I paid for but didn't receive. Don't waste your time placing an online order. Tried for 1 hour to call rental department because I was told they were the only Home Depot with a lawn AERATOR. No answer or message machine, then went online and see availability and give credit card info and then charged $150.00 . 4 hours later I was called and told machine not available till possibly 1 the next day and that she would cxl today's and the I could come tomorrow. But here is the complaint. 7 to 10 days on today's refund ( it my banks problem) then drop $ 150 again tomorrow, so I asked for a manager. The shift manager MARIA on today couldn't care less and acted like I was a complete bother and why did I have a problem with their process. Well MARIA, you shouldn't ever be promoted to any manager because you have zero integrity or professionalism or problem solving ability. My next call was to united rents and they have needed equipment and nice efficient management and employees. Never again on the Home Depot. read more

I went into Home Depot on Jackson street. My regular go to place for part and equipment. Today I walked in to get some PVC pipe to run plumbing on my trailer. I was greeted by Ken in the plumbing department. He was so helpful and helped me grab exactly what I was looking for without hesitation. I was able to get home, put everything together like I imagined it and be on my way. I just wanted to say Ken was very nice and very knowledgeable and knew where everything was at right away. Working in the area and need to buy some electrical parts as I was walking in an elderly man fell coming out of the establishment hit his head on the asphalt! I went inside to ask for a chair or some sort to get him off the floor because it was 110 degrees and the ground was scorching hot! And NO ONE insid3 the store wanted to react. I've lived in Los Angeles 10 years but I'm spending the winter here in PD. I had to shop for some significant items today. Victoria T at customer service helped me get everything I needed today; I had surgery last week and was unable to shop and lift on my own. Victoria helped me put together my large order. It's some of the very best customer service I've had anywhere. I'm a chef by trade, I know customer service, and it's very hard to come by these days. I did interact with two other employees at this location and like Victoria, they were knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. It's clear this location hires well! It's either really good or really bad. Your return policy really stinks! You let people return items that are filthy and do not operate, you don't even take the time to wipe it off you just throw it back on the shelf and sell it as a new item with dirt and mud on it. No wonder you could be losing your ass your to big for your own britches. Maybe a little quality control would help. read more

Poor customer service. I waited while the employee helped another customer, I didn't interrupt her I waited and I listen to how helpful she was to the customer when she finished I said excuse me Ms. Can you help me? She turned to me and said what. I asked to the item I needed. She spent :30 seconds looking for it then told me she couldn't find it but if I find it would be happy to help me. WTF. If I find it I don't need your help Ms employee of the month. If that's the case where I have to find an item on my own when I couldn't wit I should put on one of those orange aprons and clock in. Horrible consumer service. We called for help to get a nail gun that was on the overstock shelve and locked. We only needed someone to unlock the nail gun. Waited over 20 min and nobody came to help us. So we decided to leave. Now I have to go to lows to get the tools I need. Also the baseboard that we wanted to buy had mold. I bought a washer on 3/21/2024 because the website stated that the delivery day would be Saturday, 3/23/2024. On Friday 3/22 I called Home Depot to find out what time will they come. I was told that they don't deliver to my zip code till next Thursday 3/28. Supposedly somebody called me but I didn't answer the phone. The somebody didn't even bother to leave me a message. The rep from Home Depot was polite but just a machine repeating some lame phrases he understands my frustration. I can't be such a incredible science to state on their website what delivery days are assigned to different zip codes. I am disgusted with the lousy customer service of Home Depot! read more

Melinda in the flooring department is the best. She is so incredibly helpful with my flooring project and even reduced the price of my estimate. She picked through my entire measure paperwork and found ways to save me money. She promised she would be there if I needed to see her, and each time I went in she was there and she remembered me. Im sorry but my experience was horrible i really hope something is done here because asking for help from an employee being ignored at first because apparently his conversation with anothet employee was important trying to get his attention and if im not mistaken he said that he was a supervisor so this makes this incident worse. Camping near Joshua tree , came all the way down to Indio to try and find a hook up for my backpacking grill. Couldn't find one as it's a weird mix of propane and butane. No one had it or a adapter to use. But they tried there damm hardest and hooked me up with a charcoal grill and some charcoal to save the day. Angela and her friend joe saved the day. I love this store.. it is HUGE. We were looking for storage cabinets. They did not have what we wanted at the big warehouse store down the street. So we ventured into this place. They not only had exactly what we wanted, but we could get it delivered in two days. For Christmas they have sooo many display ideas. Not to mention all the tools you would need. Do Nan u other items. And we were actually able to get waited on almost immediately. I hate to tell you how long we waited at the OTHER big warehouse hardware store. I'm going back. read more

Ordered custom cabinets. When they arrived, we opened the box--there was no padding to secure the cabinets, and they already had the corners busted. One of the cabinets had come disconnected on one side. It clearly looked cheap and poorly constructed, as well as shoddily handled. Poor craftsmanship and poor warehousing. I am going to get them replaced, and will update this review accordingly. I am hoping that Home Depot does not try to shill more junk with the replacement. read more

Stopped by on the way home from Phoenix to LA. It's located in a very large shopping center. It was busy inside. But Home Depot's usually are. Honestly, we just stopped in to use their restrooms. Nice and clean. No complaints. The store looked like it had plenty of merchandise on the shelves when we walked down the aisles. read more

I brought a chip from the wall to have a quart of paint made. They told me ten minutes, when I picked it up they had made the color based on the back of the chip which was white. I had told them to use the textured side. It was two girls working behind the counter. They seemed a little upset that they made the mistake and told me to come back in ten minutes again. I paid for the new paint and went home. My handyman used the paint to touch up a wall in the laundry room. Well, they made me FLAT paint and it should have had a shine to it. Now it looks totally mismatched. So, now I have to go back and have them remake the paint again. Such a hassle for a little quart of paint. Also, I have to paint it myself now, because the handyman costs too much to come back. read more

I had to go to store two times to get a key copy and neither copy worked. Shows the incompetence of employees and the fact that their hi tech key copy machines didn't work. I got my refund twice - but a waste of time and gas. I went to Valley Lock a few miles a way and they had no problem making the key and charge me less. I will avoid store if I can and use Amazon Ace Hardware or Lowes read more

Recently went to Home Depot on Jackson in Indio. Walked over to self-checkout area and a young girl saw the "Help" look on my face . She asked how she could help. I explained I needed two new batteries for my car fobs and counldn't open either one to replace the batteries. She opened both immediaitely, walked me over to batteries, installed both, walked me to self-checkout, stayed till i paid-took all of 12 minutes!!! I have and extended 3 year Home Depot warranty for my washer and dryer, both LG. wanted to file a warranty claim with Home Depot since it's been a a little over a year since purchase. Home Depot makes you fill out a form on line, then they have the nerve to have you Dona diagnostic with someone on the phone. then to boot they finally, after calling several numbers, they agreed to send a tech to do a diagnostic but not to fix washer. why the heck did I buy an extended warranty with them if they refuse to send a tech to fix the problem? do not buy their warranty for anything . get the compnay one like LG or GE etc!!!!! This place is great! Cool plants, very helpful associates. Nice selection. I was in this summer & was thoroughly helped by an employee (shoot, I don't remember his name). He helped me pick an umbrella & showed me patio furniture. Made sure I had a strong base for that umbrella since it gets windy! 5 stars! My umbrella pole got bent real bad in the wind. Rather than buy a new umbrella or replacement parts, I found my manual & called Hampton Bay (a Home Depot company). They quickly found my receipt since I used a Credit Card at HD. They'll be sending the replacement part out soon! Yay! The rep on the phone was very helpful too! Way to go Home Depot! Quick Tips learned from this event: 1. Use a credit/debit card because it can be looked up in their system & that'll be useful! 2. Keep your manuals with model #'s & warranty info. (You can always take pics & save in a paperless fashion) 3. Buy Home Depot's Brand Hampton Bay, they stand by their products! 4. If your product gets worn or is defective, don't just throw it away, call & find out about the manufacturer's warranty, it'll save you money. :) read more
