WD40 on outside of garage door

I ordered a garage door opener from Home Depot which was delivered on time despite several emails saying it would be delayed. The installer did a great job on installation, however he used way too much WD40 on the moving parts (wheels, hinges, ETC) which resulted in over spray on the outside of the door and all over the garage floor. I did not notice the over spray until the next day. I have washed the door twice with detergent and got most of it off but will need to try dish soap next to get the last of it off. Hopefully the paint will survive.

I shop here frequently. Sometimes I get five-star service, but too often an employee will just look at me with a blank stare. It is definitely not consistent. They need some kind of a mystery shopper program. Having shopped here and at their competitor down the street, I prefer Lowe's hands down. Lowe's allows dogs, here at Home Depot an employee rudely told me not to bring my dog back...and he was in a shoulder carrier that one could hardly tell contained a dog. I believe that it is easier to order on-line now with the limited shoppers belong allowed into the store due to COVID. With online, you have designated parking spots outside and they bring the goods out to you...that equals no impulse shopping!

I shop here all the time, as it is the go to store for all tools. My experience started with a return. It went by smooth and fast. I had my receipt from email which comes in handy. After I went to gardening and it was the hardest thing to find an employee to help me. Well I didn't find one and instead found some Ryobi fan I front of paint section. Picked one up as it didn't have a price and figured they can check it at cashier. As I read the product I noticed it said I will need to buy battery and charger separately. Again I walked @ looking for assistance as I couldn't find the battery. Found Manuel and he was beyond awesome, took the time to walk me to item and even got a ladder to get something that was up high. I went back to gardening and again I didn't find anyone, cashier was new so she can only guide me as much. I did noticed she used her phone to look for the item so I figured I give it a chance. Biggest help ever! If you go online, pick store you are at and type item on search it gives you exact isle and location. As she's ringing me I'm being told that the fan I found was ringing $150 although on internet page is showing $99. Keep in mind it does not say "online price" exclusive for online or anything along. Well they declined to give me the price they show as a their home page. Very disappointed and I called corporate only to tell me they can not do anything and should buy online. Well I went online and they were showing "out of stock". However while I was in store I can clearly see more than 20 fans. At this point it made me feel as home depot lies to sell at higher price in store. Also they state they do price matching but will not due their on store price match. Very disappointed. At the end I end up buying online and hoping it will deliver . It was @$117 still cheaper than $150 +tax.

Bring your own lunch.... Cause the lines are horrible! Expect to wait over 45 minutes to pay. I came to Home Depot on a Monday. The only had like 4 cashiers in the entire store!!! No wonder they had everything in stock, because everyone was in line and people were leaving the store because of the horrible waits. The Store manager needs to get fired. ASAP

Home Depot gift card, with glue over the card number and PIN.

I purchased two gift cards for family members. I purchased them at Kroger, but the cards are produced by Home Depot. The cards had glue over the card # and over the PIN. We could not spend them, and despite having receipts, they would not refund the purchase, or even give a store credit for the amount. In addition, it took hours and repeated phone calls to get no for an answer. This is poor customer service. I suggest that no one ever buy a Home Depot gift card.

Had to pick up parts to fix a leaking drain. The plumbing area was a little disorganized and had trouble finding the putty I needed.

To start on a positive note, the salesperson (DJ) was very kind and helpful, and the delivery team--Tyrone and another gentleman whose name I didn't catch--were professional and went above and beyond. Unfortunately, the appliances themselves have been problematic from the start. The refrigerator had issues at delivery, and the washer malfunctioned on day one. I am now only a few days into owning these items. After calling and not receiving a response, I went into the store on the second day. I was told that because the appliances come with a one-year manufacturer warranty, there is nothing the store can do to assist. I asked about their return policy, as the items were not functioning as expected. Their paperwork (and the sales person) stated that returns can be made for exchange or store credit. However, I was told they could not exchange or offer store credit for this item (the washer) "because it is in high demand," which directly contradicts the stated policy. The washer does not function properly. It fills with water for about 10 seconds and then stops, as if it cannot properly sense the load. If I open and close the lid, it will continue to fill in short bursts of six seconds each, but it will not run a full wash cycle. At best, I can get it to spin, meaning clothes get wet but are never actually washed or rinsed. I was told I must go through the manufacturer warranty process. While that may be standard for older appliances, it is unreasonable for a brand-new unit that failed on the first day of use. I am not comfortable keeping a washer that was defective from the start. The refrigerator is visually great, but the water line for the ice maker leaked all over the floor during installation. The delivery team initially believed an incorrect water filter was installed, removed it, and advised me to order the correct one. I used the QR code inside the fridge to order a replacement, but after installing the new filter, it still leaks. Upon closer inspection, the threading and alignment appear to be defective, preventing a proper seal. As a result, the water dispenser and ice maker are unusable. The store's response to a one-day-old purchase being "not our problem" is extremely disappointing and reflects poor customer service. At this point, I am simply asking for functional appliances--either through replacement or proper resolution of these issues. I will update this review if the situation is resolved appropriately.

Our experience with the salesmen Brandon was great! Once we got our appliances delivered we had trouble with new Maytag washer making weird sounds during any cycle. Paula in their service scheduling department does not call back for days, and we had to call twice to get in touch with her, she lacks so much phone etiquette and could not explain basic information about our service time, a whole business work day was lost for us. After the service call and a new belt was put on washer, the noises still persisted. We contacted the store and they put in a "service ticket" and someone (Paula) would call me to schedule service.... 8days later no phone call or voicemail.... I have now been forced by management to still deal with Paula, even though I asked not to. She was even worse than before to deal with and told us that she and her supervisor watched the video I sent of the washer and nothing is wrong with it! We can now pay $80 do have a tech come out to look at it.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! They only take your money and want no part in providing decent customer…read moreservice, hiring honest and competent installers or ensuring products received are in working and new condition. I am shocked at the lack of customer service once we received our appliances. During installation, significant damage was done while installing vent hood and refrigerator. Let's be clear, Nor-West hired the installers to deliver and properly install appliances. Neither want to take responsibility for damage caused. In addition to full Dacor kitchen appliance package, we also purchased Fisher and Paykel dishwasher. This was purchased at a later date than other appliances and on a separate invoice (which we NEVER received at time of purchase). This dishwasher stopped working two weeks after installation and without invoice, you are not able to register appliance with Fisher and Paykel to fix under warranty. Fisher and Paykel was able to send someone to repair, but Nor-West received the appliance two years ago, so they definitely need invoice to prove our purchase date and cover under warranty. When we called to get invoice emailed, we got excuses like "our internet is out" "we sent it to your contractor multiple times". After explaining that indeed, they had not emailed the 2nd invoice, and having to get this message to man screaming at me, we finally received invoice and now may be able to get our BRAND-NEW appliance repaired (full replacement of main controller is needed). I also was lucky enough to get lecture from Nor-West about how electronics and appliance work and how sometimes they break (after using TWO WEEKS?!?!?!). Yeah, thanks. Something as simple as "Wow, that should not happen. Please let us know if you need anything additional information from us to assist in getting repairs with manufacturer", would have been a thousand times better than getting screamed at by terrible man who works there. We did not even mention that dishwasher has small dent in front or Fisher and Paykel noted installation error of main hose (yes, you guessed it, by installers engaged by Nor-West). Shame on me for not taking their reviews seriously. The lack of accountability and endless excuses are truly shocking. Just look at EVERY response to their poor reviews. Here is a tip: maybe take a little more time to focus on customer satisfaction instead of responding with a novel of excuses to almost every review.

Purchased a stove top and vent hood. Steven was my rep and I, already knew what I wanted to…read morepurchase, so gave him make and model number. Delivery and installation was prompt. Never was I pressured to buy one brand over another. Nino, the installer made the appointment directly with me and He and his crew arrived early! Installation was done in a timely manner, they also took my old stove top and vent hood without any issues. I'm very pleased with my new appliance, and with Steven (Nor West) and Nino!

They come out and check that everything is perfect a week before installation so there's no surprises. And thank goodness they did, they found multiple things that the builder didn't do and we found out we were not ready for the appliance installation. Then after things were corrected by the builder, they sent a tech out again just to be sure the appliances would all go in smoothly, before delivery. I really like this proactive approach. As a designer for many years, I appreciate this extra attention. K&N Sales has this perfected and they make sure it will be done right. They were also VERY quick to replace a dishwasher that was not working correctly from the factory. The kitchen looks and performs great, and Justin put together a great price package, (better than 3 others). Very personable all around. Highly recommend.

Terrible customer service and communication…read more Totally missed the equipment arrival date(s), items not available for weeks and when your building a house, these are all to important. Equipment install was absolutely terrible, installers were not prepared nor did they even consult the instructions, didn't clean up their mess (wood and metal shavings specifically). Water line was incorrectly installed, ice maker installed improperly. Be prepared to either take delivery with your truck/trailer and install yourself and take a meticulous inventory of your items because of the tail light warranty, nobody will return your call after the sale.
