I sincerely wished that I had gotten the name of the wonderful man, who was working at Bering's and who immediately began helping me find what I needed to buy. He literally walked me around, asking others who also worked there, where to find these items. Of course we ended up in the right section with a multitude of selections which I truly appreciated. I found what I needed and I was a very happy customer! This person's excellent professional service was extremely appreciated. Next time I'm at Bering's I will try to find him, so I can edit this review and add his name so he gets recognized for his over-the-top service!!!

Andreas really made sure to get the colors right so I could touch up without repainting everything. They carry different brands than Home Depot - I presume more professional ones. I got the Purdy extension pole for painting, and it works like a charm with the Purdy roller with the quick click) and rather abysmally with the Home Depot brand Wooster (that I bought because Sherwin Williams already closed for the day). Andreas said I would be treated like family and wow the employees all are able to look me up without asking for a phone number or anything by the second visit. I'm glad that they made me feel at home and are so helpful giving tips with all my painting woes and needs - it'll definitely be my go to spot in Houston!

I bought a quarter bundle but didn't want to leave. I looked around a while and was amazed at what they carry. The types of lumber and supplies are not carried by Home Depot. I was greeted at the front by a friendly lady who guided me to what I was looking for. She went above and beyond with explaining the different types of pesticides and her personal experiences and recommended methods of application (scatter the boric acid around instead of a straight line for roaches, which I didn't know!). It was a lot of fun browsing the store because there was so much to take in. The layout is like an antique store but for hardware, from plumbing to doorknobs to cleaning supplies, they had just about everything. I had an extremely great experience at Southland and will be back! And do not fret about parking, there is a large - by Montrose standards - parking lot in the back.
