I came as a paint newb and left wiser (but still a lot left to learn!!) I've really enjoyed working with all the folks here - Andreas is my favorite, and I've also worked with Daniel quite a bit too. Andreas really made sure to get the colors right so I could touch up without repainting everything. I joke it sometimes sounds like a salon as they blow dry the freshly made batch of paint onto the samples I bring to color match. They carry different brands than Home Depot - I presume more professional ones. I got the Purdy extension pole for painting, and it works like a charm with the Purdy roller with the quick click) and rather abysmally with the Home Depot brand Wooster (that I bought because Sherwin Williams already closed for the day). Andreas said I would be treated like family and wow the employees all are able to look me up without asking for a phone number or anything by the second visit. I'm glad that they made me feel at home and are so helpful giving tips with all my painting woes and needs - it'll definitely be my go to spot in Houston! read more

The place is lacking when it comes to quality of paints. I decided to give up on the store as a whole and go to ghetto Home Depot. The pricing is ok, but the service is lacking and could be much better. I feel the sevice here was not good. Would not recommend the place. read more

Ok I thought that this store was one of the best one around. But I had to go to the nearest one on Durham because one perperson couldn't say hi or I will be with you in a second. He had one customer. Many months ago I went into this location and requested for a sample size of the cheapest black. The woman who was behind the desk asked me what was it for, interior/exterior... yadda... I repeated again to her... none of that applies to my project. Just a sample of the cheapest black. (The project has a lifespan of a month or so so cheapest is just easier since it'll never reach its potential lifespan). And with such attitude she made a huge fuss and caused a scene. Again I reminded her cheapest is the only information she needs to know on what type of paint to provide. She continued to flap her big mouth so I left to the other location in Eastdown town. I say "sample of cheapest black" and within seconds I was provided with what I requested. I go in there today. I ask "I need a bright orange the color of Garfield, are you able to find this on your computer? Again, she makes a big fuss of bullshit that I did not ask for. I now tell her that I don't want to deal with her attitude so I leave. I go Eastdowntown location.... Done. Color was granted. All this lady at the Montrose had to do was google "what's the color code for bright orange for sherwin Williams" and there it was. Easy as pie so im getting to understand that this lady is just unreliable and lazy. It does work like that. While the staff receives 5 stars, this miserable human being deserves a demotion because she decides to be hardheaded and arrogant. Not cool at all. read more

Rafael and Austin are great! This is one of my favorite store locations because of the staff. They are consistently knowledgeable about a wide variety of products and work diligently to attend to everyone coming in. It well worth stopping by this store location! While repainting my house, I stopped by this location on a regular basis. This location has the friendliest staff and they are so helpful. Even my dog enjoyed stopping by to pick up paint samples. They helped me pick the right colors and provided helpful advice along the way. Even though I live closer to another Sherwin-Williams location, I prefer this location. read more

The prices are so much higher than the other stores that sell their products. The only reason I went was I figured I'd get better customer service and it's right in the neighborhood. Forget it. There were 2 employees at the counter and one other customer left as I arrived. I had to beg them to show me the location of a product. Ok...this review is not about the products that Sherwin Williams has it's about the poor service at this particular location, as far as I'm concerned SWP has some of the best paint avail. That's the only reason I didn't get them one star. I used to be in the painting business years ago and I remember that Sherwin Williams and othe paint supply store had grown men that worked there that had product knowledge and cared about their work. Today I go into this store and the only people working were young men with 'tudes that couldn't give a crap if someone was in the store or not...think Best Buy staff. Anyway I was waited on by Jorge a chubby young man with very weird glasses on that I'm sure he assumed were cool. This kid was rude, short with me had zero product knowledge. In fact if I didn't need a certain color I would have left and went elsewhere. I paid my bill prior to him mixing the paint he hads me my change and just walks to the mixer...can't he at least say Thank You? Anyway he mixed the paint and came over hand handed it to me across the counter as he was talking to another kid that worked there. Again...no Thank You...no nothing. Ashamed.... read more

I had exceptional help with my custom colors. Phillip challenged himself in giving his best to help in mixing the combinations. I believe he is one if those people who truly loves doing his best for others because he loves what he does. I hope that Sherwin Williams management recognizes his potential for establishing policy in all of its stores! read more
