WE HIRE DKB, his workers when showing up did their job, the problem it took almost year 1/2 almost two years to adjoint Two bathrooms, their plumber messed you my outside watering spout, which had to be rerouted, we hired them so we would have G.M. they soon fired,why we don't know? To many little things and David felt after the job completed, warranty items he found a way to put them off for the money we spent 187k to adjoint bathrooms . Of course, this all took place through the pandemic. Workers were hard to come by! Top it off, we purchased the best of the best product fixtures, so on so forth. Not even a year later, the shower head is pealing. We had nemoures repairs via David, and he did very poop planning for the humidity in the addict, having to hire some to clean this up. The list goes on an on, so back to shower head, bath of America is warranting the head, but David isn't covering any warranty work, as he never told us several months back he's retiring. Just found out today. But yet his store says opening Wenesday 9a.m. . David is a crankey guy,in your face kind of guy. I understand contractoring isn't easy, but can't you be nice to customers Spending 187k, I'd kiss your feet & handle your warranty work ! It's an amazing bathroom. I wish I can give ZERO STARS. This is the worst company ever. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They took over TWO years to just remodel ONE kitchen and TWO bathrooms. OVER TWO YEARS. And what's worse is, it looked HORRIBLE. Their paint job looks like a child did it. And not only that, they skipped certain areas and hoped we did not notice. Every little detail we noticed, we mentioned and they said they would address it and fix but they did not. This company does less than half the effort, almost no effort AT ALL. And the price they charge is robbery. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A HUGE SCAM. They do not clean after themselves and they leave paint splatter and glue splatter all over your new tiles and marble. THEY EVEN MESSED UP BRAND NEW TILES AND LEFT THEM CRACKED AND BROKEN AND INSTALLED IT ANYWAYS WITHOUT REPLACING THEM. They also messed up the kitchen wood floors and did not even bother fixing it until we pointed it out. AND THEY STILL DID NOT FIX IT. These people do NOT know what they are doing. We have done many remodels and this is the worse company we have ever worked with. The assistant Cody even let it slip that our home WAS THE BIGGEST PROJECT THEY EVER HAD. WHAT?!?!? It was ONLY 1 kitchen and 2 bathrooms in a CONDO. This is such a scam company. ZERO STARS. They didn't bother cleaning or touching up anything we mentioned or had concerns about. I'd rank this place zero stars if possible. I just wanted get pricing on a particular line of cabinets after doing a lot of research instead of driving an hour. So I called hoping to be able to send them my existing design with dimensions of the cabinets I need. Instead was left shocked and disappointed--the owner I spoke with pressured me for a budget within 1 minute of speaking with him--and I wasn't comfortable given that up quite yet--just quote me your best price, right? Maybe its because I was a women he felt like he could push me into giving him what he wanted. He also asked who my contractor was and I said we (my husband and I) were the GC (we have experience and wanted to save money on cabinets, just needing to purchase). Instead of being helpful, he rudely and abruptly stated "thanks, but no thanks..." What?!? Who says that to a customer? My husband and I are educated parents to 2 young children with experience in flipping/remodeling, but we wanted something nicer for our personal home. We were ready and willing to spend the amount of a small car on these cabinets, but Designer Kitchen & Bath won't be getting a penny of our money. If you value your hard earned money, and want to stretch your dollar this isn't the place for you--your money is not good here. They only want to deal with people who have expensive GCs and are willing to give up their budget ASAP, just so they can blow it--Negotiation 101: he who speaks first loses... I honestly question their customer service abilities if they feel that strongly about not working directly with their customers. If they were confident in their work, it wouldn't be an issue. I don't need to pay a GC to measure my walls for me, I know what I need. read more

I have no complaints about the quality of the work - it was excellent. Working with David at first was fine; I even didn't mind paying $300 more to move the shower wall an inch due to an ill-placed pipe. But when I discovered the crew was about to install a nickel trim kit, not chrome, which I had requested all along, he threw a fit over $150 and expected me to eat that cost too saying he couldn't just exchange the trim kit - even adding the remark "I see what kind of a person you are. It's always about you." Well, duh, I am the Customer! He did end up changing to chrome at his cost after considerable arguing. I guess I expect that when I am paying over $9,000 for a shower (equivalent to 3 YEARS of car payments for less than a WEEK of labor from a few men) I do not expect to have to deal with unprofessionalism from the owner as well. So glad that I did not use his services for a guest bedroom remodel. I ended up using a different company that was less than a third of David's bid. Not only am I happy with the work, but the owner was easy to work with and didn't charge for a minor modification he had to make to cabinet doors when I asked for hidden hinges (In fact he didn't even mention charging more for the modification). The business owner that did my guest bedroom actually suggested I pay with a credit card - no extra fee! As a side note, David at Designer Kitchen & Bath, pushes you to pay with CASH ONLY so don't expect to earn credit card points unless you want to pay extra. For this reason alone I will carefully choose who I do business with in the future. I'm guessing he got my points for the materials used in my project. read more

I stopped in to Designer Kitchen and Bath because I was looking for help in finishing the construction of my new home. David was amazing. The builder I had hired was stumped and didn't know how to finish the project, the master bath. David and his team immediately set to work and within four weeks had solved the problem, built what was necessary and had the project completed. Since the completion of the master bath project David has had to step in and finish a number of the remaining projects at my home, such as, sealing the marble on all the counter-tops and tile, hanging the closet chandelier, and hanging the lighted mirrors, to name just a few. He is responsive, responsible and without him my new home would still be in shambles. read more

We had a different experience working with this company. The project was remodeling of the master bathroom. The final appearance looks great and workers were courteous. However, the designer seemed to expect us to know everything and did not bother to explain things in details especially things we were not very familiar with. There was a poor planning on the cut-out of the sinks resulting in one of the cabinet walls having to be cut one-third of the way and one of the sinks being off-centered. Furthermore, the cut was not neat and the company refused to replace the cabinet. David's attempt to explain that the cabinet modification results from poor planning, not the field modification to maximize storage space just does not cut it. Now, every time we look inside the cabinet, we feel it just looks ugly. On top of all of these, we were not offered partial discount or anything. Recently my wife and I went looking for a new commode. We found Designer Kitchen and Bath on line in a search looking for Toto Brand. We had heard good things about Toto and experienced their products in Japan and Korea. We met with Dave at Designer Kitchen and Bath. Dave had a nice Toto Toilet for us. Great price and great selection. We also had wanted a Washlet for a long time and Dave (he's the owner) showed us his Toto Washlets. We wanted quality, which he had and he was very fair with the pricing on an outstanding model. Now we have used our "Toto"for our "tutu's for about 2 months and they are both great. I would recommend Dave and Designer Kitchen and Bath to everyone. First class hard working folks with quality products and we will use them when we remodel our Master Bath!! read more
