The have the patience and know-how to get repair parts ordered as well as providing fixtures. What impresses us the most is the communication. When you work with their team you will never be left hanging. If it's a part shipping from Italy that takes 4 months they will update you with all the information you need and a true timeline so that client expectations can be managed. I set up an appointment with Sarah, someone who was familiar with Baldwin hardware. I showed up at the appointed time and brought with me a detailed spreadsheet of each door hardware piece I needed for each location in the house, along with required dimensions. I thought Sarah would build the estimate for me during this scheduled appointment time, but she took my spreadsheet and said she would get back to me in a few days. She had a few follow-up questions I responded to the following day. Five days later I had heard nothing. I sent an email asking for a follow-up. I heard nothing back. I called the following day and was told I'd get a call back - still nothing. I don't have time to wait weeks for a response on this one task; my contractor is waiting on me to complete this purchase. When I provide all of the information required to price this hardware and I still can't get any help or support, I gave up and went to a competitor. My experience is consistent with many other one/no star reviews. Don't waste your time here! read more

I've used this company before with no issues but after a month experience of lies from one their salesman "Doug" I find it totally hard to ever do business with them again. I was told several times from his co workers when I called that he was with a custom me and was not able to speak on the phone. Although onto occasions when I was in the store with my client the phone was presented to him with other customers and he stopped helping me and entertain the customer on the phone. I found myself one time standing in the store with my client for at least 10 minutes while he completed his conversation while another designer sitting next to his desk on the opposite side speaking with the female client - with his guest chairs used to rest her feet. Although he delivered a horrible floor sample to my home (in which was returned), I was lied to about that and a faucet that was paid for. My original order was due in 10 days when placed but, after the order was placed the 10 days turned into two months without any notification prior to walking into the store. I am placing my complaint here because it look as though they all cover for one another. To make matters worse the ending of this incident was on Thursday April 29th around 4:25pm-I immediately contacted my salesman at Ferguson less than one mile up the street- not only was the tub that Westheimer plumbing was selling less expensive but was also NEW in a box (not on a naked pallet-dirty, scratched and damaged) but was delivered on Friday ( the very next day-BRAND NEW). WestheimerPlumbing is the last place anyone should shop, for product and good customer service. read more

Not a good experience.... I am looking to have my bathrooms and kitchen remodeled, so I came here to look at different faucets. There were several salespeople, close to the front door, but nobody greeted me. After a few minutes, an older lady named Marilyn finally approached me. I said that I was about to do some remodeling and was looking at faucets. She just said "Well my name is Marilyn" and then she walked back to her desk. I browsed the store for another 15 minutes. There were no prices on anything, and no one offered me any help. Finally I approached another salesperson (I think his name was Steven). He said that there is no price guide, and that the store is designed so that the customer has to be guided by a salesperson. I told him that I was still browsing and not ready for help yet. He said that he would check on me in a few minutes. I just left after walking through the store one more time. I think I'll just shop at Home Depot or Lowe's since this place doesn't have any better customer service. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. THE WORST customer service experience. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I walked in looking for a toilet. They acted too busy but ended up helping me. Claimed they found the last toilet in the Houston area and delivered it the next day. I set it aside as I waited for my plumber to be ready to install. When we opened the box, the toilet was CRACKED! The entire tank was cracked. I called them thinking they'd help. They didn't. They said they'd sell me another. That it was my fault for not opening it right away and inspecting it and there was no way it left their warehouse cracked. They offered no solutions and blamed me for the whole thing. I WILL NEVER purchase from the again. In fact, I'm escalating my complaints to Toto and other complaint sites. read more

We visited the store in order to choose some products, get the dimensions and prices and send the information to our designer so that she could finalize our master bathroom design. We selected the products and requested Stephen, the salesperson, the prices and dimensions and explained to him that we were finalizing the design and needed that specific information. I had shown him the products and he'd written it down on a notebook. Since the beginning, he'd been unwilling and uninterested, even showing signs of contempt; and, in the end, to our great surprise, he did not want to give us the information. He said he was "busy with some deadlines" (his words). On a Hail Mary attempt to obtain the information, we then asked him to email us the information requested, reiterating the fact that we had to send it to the designer as soon as possible. Leaving the store, I had the feeling that he would not send us the details of the products we wanted. And we did not even have the chance of going to another location, since that is the only store in Houston. As of today, we haven't received the promised email. Needless to say, we won't be going back to that store. read more

The whole experience was terrible. My husband and I walked into the store to get a simple shower head. No one paid us any attention even though we were clearly looking for help. When we did finally get the attention of a sales assistant we quickly made a choice and ordered one, being told that it would be delivered within 10 days. 14 days later we call back, someone tells us they would find out the status and call us back. No call back. 2 days later I call again and got a lady who gave me some serious attitude as if I was bothering her by complaining about our late item. She assured us it would be delivered in 5 days. 6 days later I call again as we still don't have a delivery. Finally I am told it has been shipped to the warehouse and I could pick it up there or they could deliver it a day later. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Walked into Westheimer Plumbing to find a replacement for a built in sink soap dispenser that had stopped functioning. Took the pump dispenser with me to get help with locating the manufacturer. Was told the items are more complicated than you would think, and there is no way to really figure out a replacement without knowing the manufacturer. Only stopped there because most of the original plumbing had been purchased there, but they couldn't locate any paperwork with the information. Asked if I could look around and was just directed to the area in the showroom. Asked if maybe someone else in the showroom might recognize the item and was told they would not. Very poor customer service ! Maybe the issue wasn't big enough to get the help, but had no problem at Elegant Additions. They truly were interested in helping me find a solution and were able to get exactly what I needed. read more

I had a touch-free faucet suddenly stop working - in the on position no less. The manufacturer referred me to several authorized dealers. The first couple were not much help. I called Westheimer Plumbing and Hardware and spoke to Robert. He worked with me to figure out what had broken and get the new part for me. It wasn't easy as the manufacturer really wasn't helpful. Robert persevered and now the faucet turns off and on like it's supposed to. I would definitely visit this place if I were in the market for high-end kitchen and bath products. read more

Although their showroom has some beautiful things, be VERY wary of this place. I purchased a very nice, upscale bathroom faucet that was on display in their showroom. I was told that it was out of stock and had to be ordered and it would take about two to three weeks to get it. I went by three weeks later and it had not come in; okay, no problem. Three months later, I called David, the salesman, and he said that it had just shipped and would arrive in another week or two. I called to make sure that it was there and picked it up. The fixture was fine, but the contractor advised that it was too short for the counter mounted sink. When I took the fixture back, still in the plastic in the box, I was told that there was a 40% restocking fee!! I was never informed of a restocking fee and, since it is on display in their showroom, it seemed odd that it needs to be restocked. They were the ones who were out of the item when I purchased it. The employees at this store are typically rude and snobby (i.e. don't wear jeans when you go in...) and their prices are WAY over the top. I will never return and encourage everyone else to do the same. read more

I have given them a tremendous amount of business over the last 10 years ($30K plus!) and I placed a "smaller" order ($2K) which they severely botched and they have made me feel like the villain and they have not offered to reimburse me for the labor costs that we incurred as a result of THEIR mistake. Do not spend your hard earned money here. This place has non existent customer service. They carry higher end products and you pay a premium for them so you would expect to get great customer service but they refuse to help with any maintenance after the purchase. I bought a sink here and it has never worked properly and the sales person, Amanda, cannot seem to make it right. Contrary to popular belief "westheimer PLUMBING" are not actually plumbing at all and Amanda made sure I knew this by the end of our conversation. They kept telling me they would give me a plumbing reference to use. Go to Home Depot and get better customer service. read more

WPH carries great products yet fortunately there are other businesses in town that do as well. Their customer service is unprofessional and inattentive. We were told we would receive a replacement hose from the manufacturer, that failed during the warranty period, in three days. Some 10 days later when we had not received the hose nor could we get any response to repeated phone calls, my husband went to the shop. At that point he found out that the manufacturer was out of the hose and we would receive it the following week. Bottom line is there was no follow up by WPH nor even the courtesy of a return call. We will have not had use of our kitchen sink for two weeks. This is no way to run a business. read more

First of all, this place is a dream just to browse! So many high end accessories from sleek, modern faucets to over-the-top Victorian door knobs. Definitely worth a look, just for fun. Laney helped us select some kitchen hardware and was super to work with. She helped us find exactly what we were looking for in our price range and the total cost ended up being less than what we could have purchased the hardware for online----which is rare. On Sept. 6th I purchased a bathroom sink faucet from Steve. We looked at two options, selected one from the computer inventory on his screen at his desk. He explains its not in the store but will be here tomorrow from the wear house (unless I want to drive 15 miles and get it myself). Next day no call. I do all the work tracking him down. "Sorry, faucet does not exist, and neither does the other one you were looking at". We agreed he would refund my $281. on September 8th. It is now September 25th, there has been no refund. My credit card company has had to confront this miserable store. Steve returns no calls and only talks to me when he accidentally answers the phone and it's me on the other end. He is polite but totally ineffective. The store has kept my money for something they sold to me that did not exist. Others who took my messages did not follow thru. There is a feeling of thinly disguised contempt from the people there to the customer. i am still wait for them to give me my money back. read more
