While he was there, I mentioned a problem with my range--one burner constantly clicked and wouldn't light on its own. Our dryer and ice maker both broke the week of June 17th (7 weeks ago). Appliance Cowboys sent a technician out 6/19 to repair the dryer and 6/28 to repair the ice maker. As of today, both are still not functioning correctly. I write this review with extreme frustration, as I have tried to reach out the company directly and was told a manager would get back to me but I haven't heard from anybody. I called again today and was just told that they will be sending these same technicians back here this week. The technician told me that my dryer issue was due to the vents being clogged, so he instructed me to call a different department from Appliance Cowboys out, I paid the fee to clean out the vents, but lo and behold, that wasn't in fact the issue. I informed the technician, and he called the vent cleaners back out to "unclog it again" even though this clearly isn't the root of the issue. The dryer is still not drying our clothes. (Side note - Appliance Cowboys had come out here about 6 months ago for this same issue). The ice maker ordeal is another long story but in short, the technician has been out several times, each time saying that a different part needs to be replaced. He seems like a genuine guy so I've been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but after a month and a half, this seems unacceptable. read more

My technician was name Demetrio. Pros - 10 years of experience Cons - Doesn't know how to use 10 years of experience. I call Appliance Cowboys knowing that my fan is frozen in the back and I can't get to the back panel. Demetrio looks at my freezer for 10 minutes and he says I need a Defrost Sensor Temp and a sensor for the freezer. I say fine go ahead and buy the parts because I need these repairs done so my freezer starts working. Demetrio asks me to unplug my fridge for 24 hours to let the ice melt and he'll come back tomorrow. I text him twice to see when he can come back tomorrow and he doesn't respond. I call the office because I need to know if I have to call another technician to fix the issue or if Demetrio would come. He calls back finally saying that they don't make the part anymore. I tell him that the issue is because the fan is frozen in the back and I just can't get to the back panel and since he's a fridge technician he should be able to use his 10 years of experience to figure out how to remove a freezer panel without damaging it. Oh did I mention he repeatedly told me he has 10 years of experience and that this was the issue and I needed to buy a new fridge? Anyways - I call another technician the next day. He comes in and defrosts my freezer, removes the back panel, defrost the ice that was blocking the fan from moving cold air into the fridge and diagnosed that the issue was the control board. So hey Demetrio if you're reading this. Add this into your 10 years on how to fix a Kenmore fridge. read more

Had difficulty scheduling an appointment with them. Tried scheduling via their web site and text messaging with no success. Called and had appointment set up for following Monday. Person on phone said the tech would call and confirm. Never heard back from the tech. Called Monday morning to follow up on the appointment and was told the tech would call me. Waited until noon on Monday for tech to call. No calls. Called main number to cancel the appointment, they said they were just now calling to confirm appointments. When someone says I have an appointment, I would assume they would follow up. I made arrangements to have my dogs out of the house based on the original appointment time. I cancelled as I have no confidence they would do good work if they can't even book the appointments appropriately. Poor communication. read more

I called them based on yelp reviews to work on my dryer. Service was prompt, tech told me it needed a part that he needed to order and that it would take a week and quoted me 389 + tax. While he was there, my tenant showed him the washer which had suddenly sprung a leak and he told me 220 + tax to fix that. I told him I would call back in a day or 2( wanted to see how much new ones would cost). When I called back, the representative told me the price was actually 320 plus tax on the dryer but 450 plus tax on the washer. She said she ran the quote through her software and that's what came up( not sure how the technician gave the quote). I told her I'll think about it, then called back and Ok'ed the dryer but bought a new washer from BB. Service was done and dryer was fixed, they then sat the price was 389 again. No sure what happened to this software but I held firm and after much back and forth and 3 phone calls she said ok 320. Then I told her we had paid 89 already for the first visit and after she confirmed it she adjusted the price. Then, when I saw the receipt in my email, there was 3.5% Convenience charge. Convenience or what? If she had told me that a cc would carry this fees, I would have paid by check( or paid online like for the first payment). Bottomline, they got the machine repaired and they always pick up the phone. They make up the prices and there is no communication and they are not honest and upfront about the convenience charges. read more

My mother's has used them in the past without a problem, but for our latest repair issue, we have yet to hear back from this company after multiple attempts. My sister called them and spoke with Mary a couple weeks ago Mary was supposed to call her back after checking with a technician - never did. Then my sister emailed them...no response. I then called and spoke with Mary early this week and she was going to have a tech send me a quote after I sent her pics of the oven repair. I sent the pics shortly after hanging up. 2 days later, we still hadn't heard anything. I text Mary back and she said she would "check with a tech" for the 3rd time and wouldn't you know....NO RESPONSE TO DATE. They were once reputable but now I would not recommend them as you will never hear back from them...at least not from their receptionist Mary. Very disappointing and unprofessional. I called Appliance Cowboys to repair a 3 year old washer, and they agreed to come by that afternoon. Shortly after their arrival, the technician said he suspected it was the drain pump. I asked what that would cost and he said he first needed to install a new pump & confirm that fixed the problem. After they did the install and showed me the washer working, they told me the repair would cost $335. I was unprepared to make a repair which was going to cost about half the cost of an entirely new washer, so I declined the repair until my husband & I could talk further. I paid their $59 service call. Five days later with mounds of laundry and the washer still broken, we called another company to replace the drain pump (at a more reasonable price). The 2nd technician found a wire running to the drain pump had been intentionally cut through (insulation scraped off & wire cut, not frayed). They fixed the WIRE ONLY and the washer started working again. I suspect my initial problem was a clogged drain and the washer should have worked with only a service call so Appliance Cowboys proposed an expensive repair and then cut the wire (in an inconspicuous place) when I declined the repair. They showed me the washer was working with the pump replaced and there is NO WAY it could have worked with a line cut through like that. Total scam. In light of this experience, we will not use them again and would absolutely NOT recommend them to anyone else. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT USE! I'd give a negative star if I could. I had a problem with my washing machine and contacted the company. Marcos and his assistant came to my house, and stated that they would be able to fix the "4E error code" for $400. Not only did they not fix the error, but they caused it to leak, and the washer flooded my living-room after they left. I called Marcos to return immediately and he said that he was too far away. I called him the next day and scheduled a follow-up appointment. On the day of the appointment, not only did he not show up, but both he (via his cell phone) and his company would not return my calls or texts. After a month of calling, I was forced to call another company. They fixed it for $100, and it has been working perfectly ever since. read more

My dryer would take 4 cycles to dry my clothes and even then it was like my clothes would be "steaming" in the dryer. I called and they were able to come out quickly to access the problem. The tech (Joe) had an idea of what was going on but when he saw my dryer he realized it was worse. I purchased the dryer from scratch and dent ( DONT GO THERE) and it was installed WITHOUT a vent, so all of my lent was being piled up in the dryer and behind my wall. It was a mess! I live in an apartment building and it could have easily caught fire smh. Joe was able to fix it and was very honest about the prices (which are reasonable). Needless to say I don't have to make any more trips to the laundromat because he had spare parts with him and was able to fix my dryer in about an hour.
