We ended up purchasing 30+ shrubs and trees (a good bit of money) and one of the plants died within two weeks of planting - it was the same as three others, all planted in the same place, same watering, and same sun exposure. We called to ask if we could have this one plant replaced as this clearly was a plant issue vs. a care issue (matter of fact all other plants are thriving) the manager Todd said he would not guarantee his plants, said this was a care issue, and then hung up on my wife. When the pallets were delivered and my husband started the project and opened up the pallets, what was inside the pallets was rubble, small, and some medium sized pieces. Not many large pieces - maybe 15 in all. When I called to speak to the owner he said he didn't know anything about what was in the pallets. He I saw the same thing he saw. My suggestion to him - let people know before purchasing. Put a sign up. We assume, as the owner of Genes, that he knows what he is selling to the buyer. Now we need to buy more bluestone, and I won't buy from him. I'll go buy from somewhere who deals in stone. I suggested he give us two pallets for free since most of our product was worthless and said - "I won't do that". Oh and lastly - one of the bigger pieces had already been cut around a 4x4 post.

We chose this tall elegant designer's arrangement and I asked Lisa Fiore to choose red, white, and blue flowers, because the deceased had been in the army and had also been a police officer after serving in the army, and we wanted to commemorate his commitment to service, and when I called I shared that I was fine with spending over the $150.00 price to include red roses, and no carnations or baby's breath, and to charge separately for the tax and delivery charge, along with adding gratuity. In this arrangement, the serenity of the color blue and the purity of intention symbolized by white let our family know that we were sending our calm strength to them during these difficult times. Beautiful blooms included blue delphinium, white lilies, and alstroemeria, along with red roses, eucalyptus, limonium, and more, beautifully arranged in a dazzling cobalt blue vase. I asked to include a second arrangement Two Dozen Long Stemmed Red Roses by BloomNation™ Custom Sympathy Arrangement - Premium for the deceased wife to take home after the services, with the red roses matching the red roses that were in the custom red, wite, and blue arrangement. We read the reviews for the various local florists, and after reading the reviews, we selected "Flowers by Fiore". I called the florist, Lisa Fiore, by phone, and I wanted to be sure that the arrangements could be sent for the wake service, followed by the funeral the next day, and the reception post the cemetery. I was asked what I was looking for, and I went onto the web site and selected a tall elegant arrangement, so I could share specific flowers and colors that I was considering, along with purchased sympathy card for both arrangements, because there did not appear to be enough room on the card section on the web site. Lisa provided her email address so I could email the longer cards, mentioning all the family members by name. Lisa Fiore and her team created two beautiful, thoughtful arrangements that accurately reflected the occasion's solemnity. Flowers by Fiore gets top praise for attentive customer service, timely delivery, and understanding my personal preferences during a difficult time. The florist was willing to incorporate meaningful flowers and colors to personalize the arrangement, making it a fitting tribute to the deceased. I very much appreciated the florist's empathy and care in creating two arrangements that were at the wake, the church service, reception after the burial, and the family's home after the services. The florist created the floral arrangements with attention to detail, beautiful colors, and fresh flowers in early April 2025. The sympathy arrangements were stunning and arrived on time at the funeral home. It was exactly what we needed to express our condolences during a difficult time. My family stated, "Your floral arrangements are magnificent, and the funeral home staff even commented on how beautiful they are." This review is based on the estimate process, so I can not give a grade on the actual quality of the work. And generally I do not take the time to grade based just on an estimate. Some prices will work for both parties, some prices will not. You move on, no big deal. However I felt the need to make an exception in this case. I gave this company a try (as far as the estimate) based on the few reviews available. I called the # for this company, and spoke to I am guessing, the owner. He came out when I was out (spouse was there), and provided the estimate via email. I do not fault anyone for looking to make money, that is the purpose of having a business and commerce. However the estimate here was egregiously out of line with the other estimates received by a factor of ten. Hence me informing him very simply, yet straight forward and politely, no thanks. It did initially strike us as a hail-mary, gouging price, hence this review. To honestly help inform others, as Yelp has always been very helpful and informative to me, in making my commerce decisions. However after discussing with the contractor he pointed out these were not apples to apples comparison. His scope of work included more expensive options (such as sodding opposed to seeding) . I did point out to perhaps offer more tailored estimates, or a range of estimates to be more in line with his customer's respective budgets, to avoid potential sticker shock. But after speaking to him, I am satisfied this was simply a miscommunication, rather than a padded estimate, and nothing malicious was meant. And my adjusted rating represents this. Hopefully this review will be useful to someone, both customers and contractors, in making sure both parties are on the same page regarding budget, before working up estimates.
