We ended up purchasing 30+ shrubs and trees (a good bit of money) and one of the plants died within two weeks of planting - it was the same as three others, all planted in the same place, same watering, and same sun exposure. We called to ask if we could have this one plant replaced as this clearly was a plant issue vs. a care issue (matter of fact all other plants are thriving) the manager Todd said he would not guarantee his plants, said this was a care issue, and then hung up on my wife. He told me they were big ones at the top of the hill. I asked where could I park. As though I irritated him, he pointed and yelled get out and walk up the hill. By. The time I did he had gotten in a car and driven off. I went to look for the gardenia. Did not find them after asking two other "workers." I walked back to car to see one of the first two guys. He asked did I find what I was looking for. I told him no. He said other guy sent me to hydrangea not " little white flowers that smell good." We walked down the hill to 5th or 6th building down the hill. He pulled out two medium potted plants with no blossoms. I asked how much. He told me to take to the office for price. No offer of a cart, no offer to carry. No let me call on the radio. So I lugg the plant back up to the office. When I get there the guy inside is finishing a sale. No greeting. No how may I help. NOTHING. At this point I should have gotten in my car and driven directly to the blue or orange store. When he finished I asked how much the gardenia was. I he said "30." After looking past me at the plant to say this and turned and went back to the register. I purchased it. Shame on me. After I got home I checked my account. $37.10 Horrible service and overcharged. We spent a lot of time researching where to get them and saw many great reviews for Pryor's Nursery. I reached out with some questions and Wade was wonderful at addressing everything. He is incredibly knowledgeable and is happy to take the time to answer any questions you may have. Their prices were also very reasonable compared to other nurseries we looked at. We ended up purchasing 33, 10-foot tall green giant arborvitae and had Pryor's install them for us. The crew showed up on the day of the install and the trees were lush and many feet larger than we expected, which was a very pleasant surprise. Wade and his crew did a phenomenal job. They were respectful and clean. The installed trees and mulch bed look better than we could have hoped. They even installed a drip line with an automatic timer to help water all the trees! If you are looking for privacy trees, it'd be impossible to beat the quality, price, and professionalism of Pryor's Nursery!

This review is based on the estimate process, so I can not give a grade on the actual quality of the work. And generally I do not take the time to grade based just on an estimate. Some prices will work for both parties, some prices will not. You move on, no big deal. However I felt the need to make an exception in this case. I gave this company a try (as far as the estimate) based on the few reviews available. I called the # for this company, and spoke to I am guessing, the owner. He came out when I was out (spouse was there), and provided the estimate via email. I do not fault anyone for looking to make money, that is the purpose of having a business and commerce. However the estimate here was egregiously out of line with the other estimates received by a factor of ten. Hence me informing him very simply, yet straight forward and politely, no thanks. It did initially strike us as a hail-mary, gouging price, hence this review. To honestly help inform others, as Yelp has always been very helpful and informative to me, in making my commerce decisions. However after discussing with the contractor he pointed out these were not apples to apples comparison. His scope of work included more expensive options (such as sodding opposed to seeding) . I did point out to perhaps offer more tailored estimates, or a range of estimates to be more in line with his customer's respective budgets, to avoid potential sticker shock. But after speaking to him, I am satisfied this was simply a miscommunication, rather than a padded estimate, and nothing malicious was meant. And my adjusted rating represents this. Hopefully this review will be useful to someone, both customers and contractors, in making sure both parties are on the same page regarding budget, before working up estimates. I placed the order online, scheduled pick up, and moved on with my life. Unfortunately, I received an email about 5 days before I was due to pick up the arrangement essentially advising that my selection was no longer available because the flowers wouldn't be in season the month of December. Huh? They explained that they would do their best but I asked for a refund instead. Apparently there was a website issue that allowed the purchase to go through but shouldn't have. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses. The arrangement provided is gorgeous and makes the one I ordered from a large corporation just doesn't compare. Thank you to Heather and the Flowers & Fancies team for making it right.
