I think I've been in one ACE downtown once many moons ago, so I wasn't sure if the washer fluid would be here. I walk in and I'm greeted. It's the small things and my mind was already blown. I walk around. The stores a little tight, but I didn't mind... that gave me hope that the had what I needed. I don't make it 20 feet in and I already had a bag of potting soil in my hand. It will be used I promise. So I'm walking around, trying not to look lost and apparently I didn't do the best job, because an employee asked if I needed help. "Why Yes, kind sir" hose thingy that can attach. He knew what I was talking about pointed up and talked about a few and I saw one I liked and he grabbed it for me! Next mission washer fluid, which was super easy to find! I wandered around for a bit more and I have to admit I was super surprised! I walk to checkout and grabbed some mango hi-chews and the lovely lady upfront that greeted me checked me out and signed me up for the Ace rewards. She was sweet! I will be back! They had really cute planters and watering cans. They even had a paint center in the middle of the store ! If you are close by and needed anything to get the house spring ready, stop by!

We were greeted at the door by Teressa, who asked our names and then couldn't keep straight Eric Tina and the James sofa we bought. She apologized for not shaking my hand because she was sick. Then she proceeded to follow us like a puppy, talking to us and breathing on us and "that's a comfy chair right?" before I could even find the buttons. I felt like I was being nagged by my mom. This is not a conducive environment to make a happy shopper. You give people a chance to look around and maybe find something they like. You don't corner them the first time their ass hits a chair. La-z boy sells itself. I didn't need the hard sell Teressa. We walked out angry. Sadly that store is the largest area showroom. But, some things have changed! She couldn't just go to the aisle and pick up her item. When she looked it up on the kiosk she was confused, but an associate came to the rescue. That's how we found out that certain things have to be ordered & paid for right at the kiosk, then picked up at another area. What? Sometimes change is good except for the fact that we had to wait almost 40 minutes for them to bring her items. Ugh! This change is not good. And, while we were shopping, I wanted my usual Swedish meatballs. How about, they don't even provide real plates anymore! Booooooo! Your food is served on a paper plate. That's SO not the same. And instead of peas, which is how the dish is supposed to be served, I was given some yellow looking green beans. What the helly?! AND, even the drinks were served in paper cups. Wow, such a downer. I don't know if it was the presentation or the actual food, but my meatballs didn't taste the same. The thrill is gone. I guess this was my last time opting for my mandatory trip to the kitchen. Even now, as I type and compare pictures from this most recent trip to previous trips, I can definitely see the difference. I wonder if this is happening at ALL IKEA's or just this one. It's not a good look. So, yes, IKEA is always fun. I picked up the French press I've been needing for awhile at a great price. Let me start by saying I am a woodworker, I have a small shop in…read moremy basement, so I appreciate craftsmanship and we currently have other amish furniture pieces in our house - its becoming harder and harder to find quality solid wood furniture these days. I have no problem spending the premium that solid wood furniture warrants. Myself being a woodworker, I probably pick up on things that the average person would not (or may not even care about). We paid, what I would consider, to be a high end price for a living room set - 1 coffee table, 3 end tables, and a 72" TV stand. When we got the pieces, I noticed there were pocket holes all over the place, with some screws exposed and a lot of chipout. I was extremely disappointed, I use pocket screws in some of my very low end projects, such as shop furniture or plywood cabinets. I have made some smaller nice pieces around the house and I would never consider using such low end joinery in nicer wood projects, let alone a $6k living room set (price before shipping, taxes, and guardsman protection)! In my opinion, a "craftsman" making very expensive living room furniture should be using higher quality joinery that is both stronger, and more professional. If you dont know what pocket screws are, google them and watch all the "amateur youtube woodworkers" who use them for lower level projects. This shouldnt be the joinery used on a $6k set (price not including tax and shipping or guardsman protection). Pocket holes have their place and are a much faster form of joinery, but are usually reserved for cabinets or other interior areas or can be filled/covered. I immediately sent a polite email to the store manager after receiving the set with photos. She never responded. A few weeks after the email I did receive a call from someone who left a message and was in operations but I was on vacation. I called that person back and left a message and have not received a return call. I emailed the store manager again, and still no response. As of the date of this review, it has been 7 weeks with no reply. So I feel I have been more than patient and have given them ample time to contact me back or reply to my emails. I started to google the set that I bought to see if others complained about the same thing. Thats when I started to notice other online amish furniture places selling the same set, at significantly lower cost than I paid. I finally found the original maker of my set, but it seems that there are a few amish "craftsman" shops which have a line of furniture they build, and then retail fronts and online stores sell their furniture. I was told by the salesperson that I was buying at the biggest discount the craftsman offered all throughout the year, which I believed at the time, but considering I found other online places and stores selling the same custom ordered pieces for significantly lower, I think I got sold a fib by a good salesperson. Overall, I paid mercedes benz pricing for a toyota corolla. I will likely continue to buy amish or solid wood furniture, but I now know that not all amish "craftsman" are equal and use lower end woodworker joinery in areas where my past amish furniture did not, so I will be sure to look for pocket screws and get clarification on the expectations for my pieces before placing any future orders. The photos attached show the exposed screws and wood tearout all my pieces suffered from. This is what I would expect from Wayfair/IKEA at 25% the price I paid. Before you buy anything from Gish's, google the set and compare pricing with the other dozen sellers who seem to sell the same exact set, with the same exact stain options, with the same exact wood options from the same exact "craftsmen". Some buyers may be perfectly fine with pocket screw construction, exposed screws, and wood tearout - I was not.

Our experience last December w/Kenton was enough to convince us that whenever we need a mattress, this is our store. I am happy to say that today only confirmed that opinion. The store was busy but regardless of the fact that is been nearly a year AND we literally purchased the least expensive twin mattress available last year, Kenton remembered us. Today he and Andrea both worked with us to get us another inexpensive mattress for our rarely used guest room. Quick, easy, no pressure to buy something we didn't want. A perfect transaction.
